If you know the Jann story, you know the story.I just wish they didnt show the entire movie in one of the latest trailers. Makes me want to wait another year to cleanse my memory of it
I don't know the story, but I know everything thanks to a 2 minute trailer. If you know the Jann story, you know the story.
One guy said "it's a predictable underdog story". Like... dude... no.
Isn’t this the point of movie trailers? Without the trailer, we’re you expecting this to be about a gamer who wanted to become a race car driver that suddenly fails at it?I don't know the story, but I know everything thanks to a 2 minute trailer.
yeah, i just got a ticket to this.. 5th Aug 🤙🏼This just appeared on the PlayStation App here in the UK - I’ve booked to see it already at the BFI IMAX in London on the Friday release night so sadly won’t be able to do the pre screening but worth going if you can! -
Gran Turismo PlayStation Plus | Sony Pictures United Kingdom
Based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, the film is the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional racecar driver.www.sonypictures.co.uk

Take it as a lesson learned. The only time I watch a trailer is sometimes after I’ve watched a film, to see which scenes they select and how they edit all of it. Kinda entertaining and revealing to watch them afterwards. Obviously they almost always include climaxes and very particular scenes, just usually quite skillfully edited and chopped up to the moon and back. That said, some images will stick with you anyway. Regardless of genre, inevitably highlights will be there.I just wish they didnt show the entire movie in one of the latest trailers. Makes me want to wait another year to cleanse my memory of it
Good way to advertise this site. Just invite people to "read the book" on , before watching the movie.Does this mean we need to put our entire GT Academy section behind spoiler tags now?
Unless you have a screen at home 80” or larger you will be very disappointed not seeing it in the theater.I've seen quite mixed early reviews and opinions on this. Ignoring shills and the extremes, "it's better than everything else like it" or "it's the worstest movie evar", theres a consensus that it's an ok movie from what I've read. But the trailers did nothing for me so I'll watch it when it's available on streaming, probably. Maybe.
I've also read that the main actor is a bit flat but David Harbour is great. If I see this and like it more than Ford v Ferrari, I'll eat my (invisible) hat. I'd be very surprised, but I'm really into movies so it'd be a good surprise.
I never watch trailers of films I know I will see. Gran Turismo I was genuinely on the fence about, so I wanted to see how it would turn out, rather than a montage of each section of the movieTake it as a lesson learned. They didI wasn’t totally convinced they hit 200 MPH for some footage mostly the onboard stuff because it kinda looks slow. But Sony Cine replied and said they definitely did. Well alright then. 🙌
Out of interest, where is that super-wide piece of road that is standing in for Le Mans/Hunaudieres? It looks incredibly familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.They did
From which part of the trailer? We used quite a few tracks and private roads to piece Le Mans together.Out of interest, where is that super-wide piece of road that is standing in for Le Mans/Hunaudieres? It looks incredibly familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.
