Found out I can run the i3 and Tesla in Real Circuit Toirs. This might just be fun.
Both cars have excellent handling. Not just for having low top end. I guess the position of the batteries and driveline.

Setting up race suspension on the i3 and leaving stock power, acceleration was still good at Red Bull Ring. Top speed is laughable. I was still having fun thinking about how this would be as a personal car. Interior is nice and I got used to the quiet. Was cool listening to the other cars around me.

Switching to the Tesla, I dropped weight to 1600kg and decreased power to 311. Tuned the ARBs to 8 F/R. Camber to 4 F/R to mimic my 996/997 GT3 set ups. The car is stable as a rock, in its RR configuration. Finished 2nd at Catalunya.

I've seen a few Teslas on the street. Now, I'm getting look at one more closely. Digging it more and more.

You can cherry pick images from any game to find examples that look bad. But each scenario is different, one will look better in one situation, one will look better in another. You don't really have an argument. It's great that GT Sports models are created beyond what the hardware is capable of as it means these cars will almost certainly show up immediately in newer titles on newer systems.
Actually, no it doesn't. That's something that has been said every time something is future proofed, only to come the next iteration to find out that the future-proofed content is now being future-proofed agian. It's really not something to read too much into, in my opinion.

you're just trying to discredit the game showing zoomed images of low-LOD models
 Is this a serious post?! Are you intentionally trying to be ironic?

>complaing about a LOD bug that got fixed with the Alpine
>People don't realize that Forza has also had LOD/Poly and even welding mesh issues, and still has a set of wheels that have no lug nuts on them.

Ontopic though, the new track is stupid fun, and driving the P1 GTR is an amazing blast.
And Forza is relevant in this discussion, how? Games have their own issues, who would have thunk it, huh?!

No one said anything about PD being faultless man.
Actually, although it's not happening right now, one of the main members arguing with @fatkid has insinuated exactly that on many occasions. In fact, said person is pointing fingers, even though he has on multiple occasions and multiple threads, done much, much worse. So it makes it bit funny seeing him having to defend against things that he's tried to say didn't exist in the first place, and against things that he himself have taken part in against any other game that isn't GTS.

Rain with GTSport's graphics man......it's so good to imagine it's almost like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow,i don't think we will ever get it this gen.

By the way is that GT5?

You can also use the Tesla in the Clubman Cup races, in fact all 6 cars in the update, other than the P1, are eligible for both. I'm guessing the i3 is probably the same but haven't had time to check.

"Bangs per buck" the M3 is also eligible and an easy winner for the FR+ amateur events and therefore number 1 based on GT League alone.

The F50 qualifies for the Ferrari events of course and the Midship races and *that* Blue Moon Bay race, which makes it number 2.

The Corvette qualifies for FR+ races and the Stars and Stripes, so would be 3, just ahead of the FuguZ at number 4 (which is classed as a US car) and followed by the Firebird at number 5, based on stock BHP.

The Tesla then falls at number 6 as it is only available for Clubman Cup and Real Circuit Tours.

So far, ive only driven the Tesla and M3 as I'm running each car in all the races where it qualifies.

I've not bought the P1 yet, but that doesn't seem to be eligible for anything in GT League?

I think thats from the GT5 weather trailer. But yeah its still a wait to see something more impressive than driveclubs effects
Maybe we will get an update that expands the current drizzle track

i3 can be used in Sunday and Clubman Cups. It's an MR, but can't be run in the Midship Challenge.

Checking the "i" shows what cars are permitted.
The Fugu Z is pretty good because it grants access to the Premium races. C2 does one better by also granting access to the Nostalgic Car Festival.

Just made a quick M3 touring car to try it in Real Circuit Tours. Shame it's under 100k Cr. I half feel like doing a "They almost made it" Shootout, for the just under 100k cars: NSX, E92, '02 Viper GTS, etc.

Is the Fugu Z competitive at all on the Premium Leagues? its only n300 ...

I remember you need some firepower in this race series.

I won with it set at N200(217hp) on RSS at Lago. The more turns, the better. N300(294hp), I finished 2nd, at Dragon Trail, on RSS tyres. Haven't tuned it beyond 294hp.

The P1 is a bit of a handful, just couldn't get the best out of it on the ring with a pad. Go fast with power on - understeer off. Hold back with the power - oversteer off. It needs smooth transitions of throttle to brake and back which is hard to do, so I ended up losing loads of time. Maybe that isn't the best place for it but I found it too boisterous to have fun.

I'm surprised that the FuguZ is competitive in the Premium races as you say. Still consider the M3 number 1 personally as it's an easy winner in all its events.
I had forgotten about the Nostalgia event for the Corvette. So it's a toss up between the Corvette and FuguZ for me.

The Firebird can be tuned up hugely to 500+hp but I've not tried it out yet... tonight's job! :D

I'll try the FZ with max power and see how it does at BMB, TE and Monza.

Used the T/A, in the Nostalgic St. Croix race. Nice handling.

Used the C2 with a race suspension set up and SM tyres. Kept power and gears stock. 3rd and 4th gear are great, but it needs the LSD(it spins up near redline in corners). I won the race on the last lap, beating the GT40 and pesky A110.

The E92 is indeed nice. It should rev to 9500rpm, feels like 8500rpm is limiting that engine. Dang thing revs so quick. Love when it shifts too(I use a DS4).
Again, it just misses because it can't enter the Premium Lounge. Other than that, Cr. well spent.👍

It's GT5 but rain most of the time looked awful. It ran at like 0 fps and caused atrocious screen tearing.

I barely remember GT5 rain but yes GT6 rain looked pretty awful. It was like riding on a cloud of grey cotton wool but what can you expect from a console that came out of 2006 with 256mb ram and a underweight Nvidia card.

I'd be surprised if rain arrives in GT Sport unless its fixed and in very very controlled events... ie. new Rally in the rain etc.

Started doing a "They almost made it" "Best of the rest" DLC shootout. Just the DLC in the 90,000 Cr.-99,999 Cr. range.

From Dec '17- Dec '18 we got:

Viper '02
NSX Type R
E92 M3
Tesla Model S

These cars miss out on the Premium Lounge(PL) 100,000(minimum Cr.) grind fest. Just want to see how they measure up to the PL Meta: X-Bow . I've also got the GT-R '17 in the mix, for comparison. It's not a DLC car, but it just misses out by 2,600 Cr.

4k does not effect how real the game looks and saps a lot of processing power that could be used to make the game look better. I wish people would get over this 4k obsession.

Sorry for the rant.

4K DOES effect how real game looks! I have forza 7, horizon 4, iracing, r3e, etc. On SAME display ( 4K HDR ), these games are crisp and clear and sharp, full of details. GT Sport is NOT: lost of details, SOFT, not clean, jagged edges. Dont tell me that ********, because I see what i see. GT has outdated graphics-wise!!! Sorry for my english.

If you're saying that GTS has worse graphics than iRacing and R3e because of 4k idk what to say. And oudtaded graphics? Its widely recognized as the racing game with best graphics, and its probably the only one where you could hesitate before telling if its real or not...

And again: this has what to do with the topic of this thread.

Okay, I'll answer the question: for me personally: I don't give a rat's a$$ about image quality of those parts of the car I won't be looking at while driving races in cockpit view, as long as the game does what it has to do: provide fun racing other people and showing me a cockpit which adds to the feeling to be in the car those flaws are totally acceptable, again, to me.

Now go and ask your question and post, post and repost your images in a thread that serves that purpose.

Geez.
I had no intention of always posting on this matter but am compelled to by people's erroneous comments about me. Just like you have here. If you would have looked into it properly, I wasn't the first to post about GT Sport vs Driveclub on here. It started out about claims made how the P1 GTR models between both games were shared. Which was quickly proven wrong. Then comparison photos between the models on both games were posted on here to show the differences. And my first comment on the matter actually mentioned the F50 - along with the P1 GTRwhich is also included in the 1.31 update that this thread pertains to - as one of the all round superior looking cars in the game. Before I was forced to defend myself with more posts against multiple disgruntled replys. Yet you strangely forget that? Guess my unpopular opinion makes me the easy and convenient target?

Enough with this rigmarole. Let's just move on please. Have a happy Christmas and a good GT Sport experience this month.

So real life TV at 1080p looks less real than a true 4k game?

Corvette C2 is my favourite car in this DLC so far. Absolute blast to drive and it has probably the most insane V8 sound

The C2 is a lot of fun to drive because you just get that one rear wheel spinning constantly. I don't know if it's because of the lack of a differential or what. But you can literally goose it early apex and keep that one wheel spinning till the straight.

4k does have an advantage. I would think this is obvious to anyone who's barrelled down Mulsanne at 190mph 320km/h plus and that dot you see in the distance is suddenly in your face.

The next big thing is a true 4k/60 which should be a ps5 base ability.

Yeah, i noticed that too (that diff would be ruined IRL after like 50 kilometers :D ), but it is not exactly about that

It is just that the car has decent top end despite having only 4 gears, acceleration is impressive aswell and handles alright. All of these things failed to deliver in Mach 1 Mustang
