Gran Turismo Sport 1.34 Update Now Available: Five New Cars, Autopolis Circuit and More

First post on GT Planet, and I just wanted to say that this update may very well be one of my favorites yet, even though I was really only excited about the Supra lol. Autopolis was just a nice bonus.

I was so excited to see how the A90 drove, and I was honestly a little underwhelmed initially. It definitely doesn’t feel at home on the track, and I was kinda caught off guard by how twitchy it was. I put about 80 or so miles on it just trying out new settings, (it really could benefit from more downforce, imo), and I finally got it to a point where I’m super happy with it. Definitely one of the more difficult cars I’ve tried to tune, but it was super rewarding!

The engine is just amazing, and honestly I don’t think I’d add any horsepower at all. 394 is MORE than enough, and really I’d love to see how this chassis handles with about 75 or so less.

Also this car looks remarkably good in yellow, and I can count the number of cars that I’ve liked in yellow on one hand lol.

But overall I think I found my new go-to in the A90! I’ll see if I can get some pics later.
Welcome to GTPlanet! :gtpflag:

I think because we see our favourite tracks in these Gran Turismo games AND forza AND on TV AND even in real life and we see the huge elevations..

Bathurst is not flat. Go up the mountain, come down the mountain... it almost makes me sick in the pit of my stomach when I come down conrod. I've honestly felt that ill in my own car.

Laguna Seca - enough said.

Spa - we seen it over the space of 25 or more years w/ Senna etc. to Webber/Alonso, La Source Eau Rouge Radillion, this is our home track.

These are the extremes we know.

I get that Suzuki isnt flat... we go under a bridge but these dont compare to the big ones.

Pretty much.
Suzuka has some slight change in elevation but it's so wide it's negligible.
Fuji is a bit more daring in that aspect.
Autopolis is straight up flat.

Edit: I don't know if it's an unpopular opinion or not but I hate Catalunya to bits. It feels like some kid took a flat, slightly sloped slab of asphalt and drew some lines on it. I feel like I'm stuck into traffic driving on that. No flow whatsoever. Still my personal opinion though.
Are you trying to say that the road surface feels flat? Because the track clearly isn't...

Again, I'm not saying that it is indeed flat, but it feels like it.

On Suzuka, for example, the car tends to be "angrier" in some sectors due to the sharper changes in elevation, on corners that won't seem threatening if seen from a bird's eye view.

The Fuji uphill part after the Dunlop corner can be a pain for the same reason, the Netz corner especially can be difficult to understand due to the climb.

On Autopolis, on the other hand, I feel like I won't have any trouble once I set my racing line. I just open up the throttle and the corner is done without surprises. The car is planted to the ground and just wooshes around, the only exception being Turn 16, requiring a slight modulation similar to the Suzuka Spoon.

Autopolis seems an easy track if compared to others, but to me it's not a downside: it has just a different flavour. I love it in fact.

I am very happy with the last update. first of all, they have fixed the "kickout" bug while matchmaking. For me, the best feature of 1.34;)
Autopolis was a nice surprise. Very technical track, nice flow, well done!

With the GR Supra GT4 Concept announced at Geneva, thought I'd try to make one for Gr.4 Custom Race.

Head-to-Head with its closest rival.
Edit not a six in the Jag. My mistake.

The Jag weighs in at 399BHP/51.1kgfm Torque/1350kg
GR Supra tuned to 399BHP/60.7kgfm Torque/1383kg

The Supra is such a beast. Just needs that downforce!

I'll tune weight down to 1352kg and see if it gets closer to the Jag's time. Next, I'll use BoP in a race.

I hated that GR Supra GT3... granted I didnt use it for much except the Fuji 30 lap. Std. tune except maybe final drive upgrades downforce.

The FT1 I used for the Tokyo Express 30 lap was better.

Oh yeah I have six GR Supras and 1 x FT1.

Super premiumized Mercedes SLR is a thing of beauty.

Oh my...Thats a work of art

So is a 911 RSR and it is in Group 3. What is your point?

Was the 911 RSR ever racing with GT1 prototypes cars that could reach speeds of over 330km/h on the straightaways, while having enough power to actually overtake them?

Even then, my point is that the GTR is just way too fast for Gr3 in the game, even though it still should be even faster since it was faster on GT6.

Just look at its figures post BoP, 89% power and 121% weight are ridiculous limitations and it just shows that even with such a big limitations the car is still too fast for Gr3.

As it stands, it's too unrealistic to race it on gr3

The GTR is also dumbed down a fair bit by BoP for Gr3, 89% Power and 121% weight to get into Gr3.

Now that F1 GTR is in Gr.3, what chances the EB110 LM will get in Gr.3 so that Bugatti gets their Gr.3 representation they desperately needs?

Or maybe Polyphony can make a Bugatti Veyron Gr. 3 (given that there already is a Gr. 4 variant). However though Polyphony have stated that no new manufacturers will be added as of now for the Manufacturer's Series, but anything could happen...

A Bugatti VGT Gr.3 was planned in the game files, but PD moved it to Gr.1 instead.

Which camera view do you use?

The SLR have better brakes than Huayra. Pagani it totally not my type of car the SLR i started to enjoy more and more.

Continued from my previous post:
Pagani Huayra
Surprisingly much more stable than GT6 and still insanely fast. The sound is very much turbo blowing all over it. Not sure if it holds the speed record when fully upgraded, just like in GT6. Hopefully the flaps are moving correctly when turn, just like in GT6...

Mercedes SLR McLaren
This car is so heavy it burn the front tire whenever you try to brake or make a hard turn. But well worth for the loud supercharger whine and satisfying click sound when shifting.

Mazda Eunos Roadster
Its a Miata/Eunos Roadster/Roadster....

Paul Richard is a possibility. PD are giving us tracks that have never been in previous GT games.
Of all the french circuits, my favorite is Magny Cours. I love your curves at high speed. It would be a great addition to the GTS. Because it's little remembered in racing games.

Despite being a flat circuit, I love its layout. It is unique and original. Unless mistaken, it is one of Lewis Hamilton's favorite circles.

I do not know. If I had this power to choose, I would prefer Magny Cours than Bugatti and Paul Ricard.
