Gran Turismo Sport 1.34 Update Now Available: Five New Cars, Autopolis Circuit and More

My favourite odd event was the horizontally opposed engine races... I only had a 991 GT3 so that's what I used.

You lap the field here in a 991... so much so I almost crashed into a Sambabus on the straight as I didnt think it would be eligable for this race. Apparently things happen real quick when a 300km/h supercar comes up onto a 110km/h block of flats.

PD logic.

Anything before around 2000, (even as late as 2005), should certainly be in Gr.3. The F1 GTR actually raced with around 450bhp and with extra weight in JGTC. The other big European rival of the day was the 911 GT2. Both of these cars are a good couple of seconds slower than the latest GTE/GT3 cars. And that’s with the F1 GTR in full 600bhp GT1 spec.

Gr.2 to fit the tradition, Gr.3 to fit the performance,

But I'll be honest, JGTC is the category I want the most right now. I love these machines so much, that I don't even care about the category it would drop.

I think what we need in both Sport mode and lobby is to be able to choose eligible cars manually. Could make a race of just the older jgtc or group c. Current gr1 without VGTs. Classics - like a local gts community here has done by manually BOPn the cars weight/power in open lobby. This is based on trusting a fellow racer to use the given bop. And i can tell you thats some pretty close racing in very different cars. If we only could do custom bop and regulation groups.

PD also could use these limited eligible cars in daily by limiting existing groups. Like using just American or Japanese or European Gr3/Gr4 in a race since they are anyways BOP together. Or take any given 2-3 competitive N600 models for a race. Could be compromise between gr and one make -races to add some variation to daily races.

I find Autopolis to be an easy track with a good flow overall.
I know it's not an original track, but it could have used more elevation changes IMO.

I'm quite late to the party, aren't I?

Anyhow, getting a track I haven't even seen since Need For Speed Pro Street is quite something. My lack of knowledge about Autopolis was really put on show, as I missed several apexes and braking points:lol: Then again I was driving the Huayra... Not exactly an easy task! The track is narrow and tight just like Catalunya, but has a character all it's own. I know Spa is great but having a track which NO OTHER GAME currently features is more exciting in my opinion. But I must say, the Huayra is an excellent drift car. It has a huge amount of torque to power out of the corners, and I pulled some truly ridiculous angles. The sound is far more accurate to the real thing than GT6 and I LOVE IT.

Autopolis is now one of my favorite track and tbh the track list in GTSport is getting very nice. Sure it lacks some staples like Spa, Silverstone or Laguna Seca, I guess it's just a matter of time for some of them.
And yet no original track so far, Poly is sat on a goldmine and I'm sure they know it.

It feel like most tracks in Japan are flat and dont have elevation changes?
Pretty much.
Suzuka has some slight change in elevation but it's so wide it's negligible.
Fuji is a bit more daring in that aspect.
Autopolis is straight up flat.

Edit: I don't know if it's an unpopular opinion or not but I hate Catalunya to bits. It feels like some kid took a flat, slightly sloped slab of asphalt and drew some lines on it. I feel like I'm stuck into traffic driving on that. No flow whatsoever. Still my personal opinion though.

I brought a new friend to the Nordschleife, what a pleasure..!

2 laps, first lap, very rough as i learn how the car drives on this magnificent track, second lap, more serious, less limit testing and faster.. ENJOY!

I spent 90% of my time in GT6 in that car on that track. Epic fun. 👍

How is Autopolis flat?

On top of that, Bathurst is a narrow track with low thick walls that really make you notice the changes in height as they happen.
MP is truly a journey.

I don't agree with Interlagos though. The changes are more noticeable than Autopolis (see S do Senna and the drop after Bico de Pato up to Turn 14.).

^ Shame that the elevations don't seem to translate into the game the same way.

Well, for me I could see the Elevation changes. Especially at the Hairpin-like corner which is one of the highest point down to the lowest point.

But I think it's not the problem of the translation into the game. As you can see in the picture of @05XR8 the elevation comes slowly but steady. so it's normal that you don't feel/see that much of an elevation, as at the Nürburgring were the elevations come rapidly.

Autopolis is sooooo far from being flat, lol
whole sector 3 is crazy

Japanese tracks are fantastic
I need Okayama and SUGO in my life
but I think this won't happen, not in close future (not in GTS) because there is no leaks about anything like that at all
about Autopolis we knew from 2015, about Barcelona we knew little earlier too
rest of tracks from updates are remastered versions or fantasy locations
I think we won't see another "new to the series" real world track in GTS

Exactly my point. The elevation changes are so gentle that you barely even notice they're there.
They don't unsettle the car in any way or challenge the driver by making a corner blind or anything.

My body needs Trial Mountain back anyway. I want to smash into the rocks at Turn 5 like in the good ol' days.

Why the heck the damm Miata have the rag top up?

Seriously? We dont even have rain in the game why on earth would the rag top be up GTFO and I wanted to use this car but naw the rag top up kills it for me

I think whats far worse is you cannot fit the BBS wheels on the Miata in the livery editor, my actual IRL Eunos import mk1 NA6 came with them out of the damn factory :banghead:

The rag top is actually down in the scapes photos...

Some say the owner forgot the handbrake, when he stopped, and this was taken in the aftermath...
Others say it's a rare haunted car...

The realism of scapes is baffling, but this pic could have used a driver on the seat. :D

No BBS RS why the heck not? Jebers what they upset its a German wheel on a Jspec lolololol

Rag top down everywhere except on the track, GT6 again :/ I don't get it cuz other convertibles have the top down its not Like the miata is a complex detail car, its simpleton stuff.

VXR
It loves to hang its tail out, yeah.

And I was especially annoyed by the MX5 having so few wheel options, just like many N100 cars. It's bad enough the BBS centres can't be painted like in GT5 and 6, but to not even have them for this car at all, or the Enkei 92 that can be painted is a big shame.
The wheel situation really annoys me as well. Here's another MX5 you can't put RPF1s on. If PD ever stopped by a Miata forum, they'd see the RPF1 is one of the most used wheels on every generation, yet we can't replicate that in game. :banghead:

I thought about it but anyone wearing a helmet with the roof down, not on a track is being a bit of a pussy lets be honest :D . I actually wanted to park it on the verge but theres an invis limit. I used a wheel that looks a little like the Japanese CarMakeC*rns tuners wheel instead but damn did it annoy me when they locked out the bbs :(

There's a turn in the final sector which almost feels like an uphill version of Laguna Seca's Corkscrew. It will unsettle the car if tackled the wrong way. Some features about Autopolis remind me of Brno.
