No, you're not. Hard to dislike futuristic gadgets from that era, which is also why everyone loves pop-up headlights.
I guess you're right. The thing is, when the update rolled out many were up n arms saying that the gauge cluster was diferent from the Inicial D anime so I assumed I must be one of the only few that actually likes it.

Only 5 crappy cars that nobody wants and no new track.

The develop team has already given up on this title.
We've known for years now that PD's development process is very slow and time consuming (even more so for entirely new content). Considering this and the fact that they're almost definitely devoting resources on developing the next game, and it shouldn't take a genius to figure out that the content flow is gonna be a bit slow.

With that said, I'd hardly say that they've "given up" on the game considering that we're still getting content a year and a half in. It's simply a matter of priorities and what resources are available. All studios work like this.

According to Tidgney a forthcoming car pack will feature a single model. Makes me wonder if we’d get the Porsche Cup car with a bunch of liveries. Or if it’s the much rumoured Formula E.

It could be this:

Since we are on the topic of Tidgney, he mentioned there were 3 real world tracks basically ready to go. 2 of them were no brainers the other was a complete surprise. I imagine Goodwood was the surprise so we are left guessing at what the no brainers are, go figure haha.

He continues to say Spa is held up in licensing issues. So it’s either a bluff and Spa is coming soonish. Or he’s referring to tracks like Silverstone and Laguna.

Recently scanned cars I wouldn’t expect anytime soon. I have been made aware Kaz and a PD delegation are guests at a forthcoming Formula E round. So I think these are imminent.

I've covered it a couple of times on the forums, but it's a dispute over the licensing fees.

UK car manufacturers talk to each other a lot via various professional bodies, and also because most of the personnel have worked with each other, for each other, and in all of the companies. Lotus learned that it was getting less money for its cars appearing in GT Sport than some other manufacturers, which, as I understand it, came down to the fact that Lotus had agreed terms which diminished over time - the delay from the original 2016 launch to the 2017 launch reduced the money it was due.

I'm not sure why it's not resolved yet though, as we're over 18 months in now...

On a semi-related note - did you know that there is indeed a Lotus Evora in GT Sport? It can be seen by playing the game normally, it's not hidden away on the disc anywhere...

Completing 50% of Campaign Mode nets you the attached Milestone Award - which does indeed depict the Lotus Evora!

I've also attached the photo from the E3 image pack from 2016 which the Milestone Award is based on.

Weird, eh? :odd:

The round of Formula E is at Monaco on May 11 which might be a good guess, especially with the FIA links and prior visits to Monaco.

All this is supposition based on hints and rumours and leaks, but my reckoning is:

1) Formula E - 11 May
2) Update with Goodwood track end of May or early June
3) Silverstone to arrive in July timed for the F1 Grand Prix

11h?! Blimey. Good job though.

Getting the blue with white pinstripes to go along the side without any of it bleeding into the scoops, inlets, and wheel arches was a challenge in itself, likewise with the pink stripe at the top. Plus I had to make the Bayside Disposal logo from scratch with just the photographs to reference (I couldn’t find it archived anywhere online) and my limited experience in Illustrator.

I'l add Monaco and Indianapolis to that list, since it's May.
