On a semi-related note - did you know that there is indeed a Lotus Evora in GT Sport? It can be seen by playing the game normally, it's not hidden away on the disc anywhere...

Completing 50% of Campaign Mode nets you the attached Milestone Award - which does indeed depict the Lotus Evora!

I've also attached the photo from the E3 image pack from 2016 which the Milestone Award is based on.

Weird, eh? :odd:
Not really that weird, as the Evora was in the Beta, so it's most likely just left over from old images and assets.

For those who wondered how the patched Toyota SF19 sounds like here is the comparison video :

I knew lot of people would say "the old one is better!" because of the loud distorting effect it has. Now it is been adjusted though Toyota noticably still had slightly higher pitch than Honda engine. The changes however is for cockpit view only. The third cam sound were still the same to my ears. What do you guys think? Is it closer to real engine sounded like or other way round?

One more thing, I saw some rambling about how cheesy the AE86 license plates was. Well, it was from Toyota themselves to choose that kind of typeface and while I agree that the "3 door" is very exaggerated but this is 80's Japanese we talking about... They literally wanted to give clear information, even body types... Remember that Sprinter Trueno also had coupe version as well so it is likely to distinguish both. Other reason is that PD is always trying to be accurate as possible so they go with what they saw in Toyota's brochure as reference. Anyway, you can change the license plate in livery editor so not a big deal in my opinion.

Not everyone complains, and most of those who do bring up valid points. This "shut up it's free" nonsense needs to stop. Opinions are relevant, price tag or not.
No it isn't nonsense, because you haven't paid real money and it's therefore no loss to you whatsoever. I would understand people's disappointment if they paid real money and were let down by the content. Yet some complain regardless of what's included. Constantly complaining about an update is not an opinion, it's just called trolling and it's annoying to all of us.

Opinions posted on a public forum are open for rebuttal, like it or not.

And your solution for these people (of which I can't recall any) who apparently say "shut up it's free", is to tell them to shut up.
Nice work. 👍

Complaints aren't necessarily trolling. The following points are examples of valid complaints:

  • Porsche 962 C is not Le Mans spec and therefore doesn't fit in with existing Group C cars
  • Honda Fit Hybrid lacking sportiness while an RS model exists
  • Classes having no clearly defined distinctions, now affecting the R8 Gordini in Gr. X

Are you seriously telling me these complaints are invalid because the cars were added free of charge? It's not like people are being ungrateful for bringing it up. It's called feedback and game developers need it.

Nice work. 👍

The purpose of this forum is to discuss Gran Turismo. Those who challenge this condition have got the wrong idea. So telling people to shut up when they tell on-topic posters to shut up is nice work indeed.

Oh, now I get it.
So people are allowed to complain, but those that challenge their complaint are posting "off-topic" and should shut up.

Gottcha. 👍

Firstly, the 962 can be BOP'd in order to compete with other Group 1 cars;
Secondly, the Fit Hybrid is a perfectly good car and if you don't think it's sporty enough, you can tune it;
And Thirdly, the Gordini is actually a rally car, not a road car. That's why it's in Group X.

1. The other Group C cars are set to qualifying specs.
2. The Nissan R92CP never raced at Le Mans, or anywhere outside of the JSPC for that matter.
3. The 787B was an outdated car in terms of regulations when it won Le Mans.

Just because one car doesn't fit this narrow view of what a Group C car should be, doesn't mean it shouldn't be in the game.
Honda Fit Hybrid lacking sportiness while an RS model exists
Didn't realize everything in the game had to be its sportier version. If that's the case, many cars in the game don't belong as there are better versions/variants of them.

There's quite a few cars in categories they shouldn't be in. VGTs in Gr.1/3, Track day cars in N class (Vulcan, KTM X-Bow), race spec cars in N class (356, '65 Mini, SF-R racing concept). This isn't an issue affecting just the Gordini, and in fact, the Gordini is where it belongs since it's properly classified as a race car in this instance.

Sure, the criticisms may indeed be valid, but some of them are borderline pedantic at times.

So people are allowed to complain...

The forum rules don't state otherwise.

You missed my point.

These two posts are nice. Replies that facilitate discussion and understanding instead of simply telling complainers they are wrong for complaining.

You missed my point.
No, you missed my point.

The person you chose to respond to asked a question.
You could have responded "on-topic", but instead you chose to respond "off-topic" and basically suggest they shut up, while in the same breath complain about people telling others to shut up.

And your defence for doing this is because apparently they posted "off-topic", but of course it's perfectly fine for you to do so.

If you can't see that then I can't help you.

This might be an unpopular opinion, the long tail Porsche 962 is a ugly car, I'm really happy PD went with the version they did even if it is slower on the straight.

First off, I’m new

Second, I was really disappointed we didn’t get any track, but then again it takes time to model A car

Third, I wonder what happened to Forsberg’s 370Z? It’s already 2 years though.
There is no clear time frame between scanning and the addition of the car in game. Two cars were scanned the same day (FuguZ and the 370 drift car) and you know the answer^^
I think there is further evidence: the inclusion of the Honda Fit Hybrid from 2014! I guess the car was scanned for years but the modeling never done.

The Gordini is as much a rally car as the Alpine A110. Yet you'll find both in classic car events across France, as homologated road cars.
I'd really love to see it reaffected into N100.

I haven't tried the new cars yet as I am still grinding for 20mils to purchase the Ferrari 330 (which I purchased before but mistakenly sold back for 6mios... ) or Jag.

The Gordini has a roll cage in it, the Alpine is only the normal road car.

I'm doing the same now I have all the cars <10m. Plus, now we know the Goodwood Circuit is coming, I want those classics for hootling around that track when it arrives

But the new cars only total 1.2m and 1m of that is the Porsche, so there's no need to wait for those other 4.

Just because one car doesn't fit this narrow view of what a Group C car should be, doesn't mean it shouldn't be in the game.

1 - Correct, apart from the 787B: that car is in race trim and never had a qualifying trim/tune as the team focused purely on race pace for the 24hrs.

2 - Correct, the R92CP didn't race at Le Mans.

3 - Incorrect, the car was not outdated when it won, it was a new car competing in the second tier of Group C at Le Mans known as Cat.2 in 1991 built and run with the help of Oreca (although the squad from Japan won). You can only call it outdated in the sense of there being Cat.1/3.5 rules package being phased in for 1992, also Mercedes continued to run Cat.2 cars throughout 1991 as they struggled to get the C291 to run reliably.

New track coming soon
