The photographers working on Scapes will also work on reference photos for cars, tracks, and all manner of projects that go into a title the size of GT. They aren’t the ones doing the track modelling.

Obviously. And to that point - like any other business, PD can re-deploy/hire/make redundant staff depending on what is required from a business perspective. They aren't stuck with the staff they have and the skills they possess.

1000 scapes is total overkill when the track selection is paltry compared to GT's competitors. That's a lot of man hours.

Photography is also a huge part of the GT community. In fact PD where trend setters as this is now a huge part of current videogame culture.

That's great but meaningless without numbers. I would be very interested to know the number of players who have taken more than 10 scapes photos compared to those that haven't, I suspect it would indicate that 1000 scapes is a great amount of content to have for the benefit of very few.

The 'problem' is that the digital dash never left japan and all other markets got the classic twin big dial that every 1980s Japanese car got.

But the Sprinter Trueno is JDM, so how are the digital instruments a problem?

I understand fans of that movie wanted it differently, but let's not forget that the car is a relevant addition regardless.

I think there should just be an option for no plates at all. I don't get the infatuation with license plates for cars in a racing game. Seems every game has them and they're just ugly and pointless. Like I can't honestly tell the car in front of me is an AE86 and need it shoved on a plate in a novelty fashion.

Gran Turismo uses the plates to display the marketing font and graphics used for the cars. It's a cool touch that blends in nicely on most cars. The "3door" thing on the AE86 just happens to look silly.

Almost Everyone that plays GT Sport would love more Cars & Tracks. Thing is, they all want DIFFERENT Cars & Tracks.:confused::confused:
Thanks to PD for supplying all of this FREE DLC !! 👍

Hopefully, everything that's in GT Sport at the release of the PS5, can be included within the next Gran Turismo straight away.
That's one thing i hate about this site! An update has no cars someone wants so automatically PD are dropping the ball and have given up on GT Sport!

Im not ready to say PD ruined the game and its all over for gt sport, thats a knee jerk reaction, modelling tracks takes time and im sure if pd had a new track ready they would've added it.Now for the argument that 5 cars is a small number i think its because Pd had lots of cars being made before the game released so they had lots of models to throw in updates,i think 3 to 5 cars per month is a fine number for free updates.

I'm not going to complain about a free update. I was hoping for a new track, didn't get one. I imagine we'd still get one in the future. The new cars don't particularly interest me and I'll probably only get them if they come up in an FIA race combo. I still have plenty on space on my HDD so nothing really gained, nothing lost with this update for me.

Global manufacturer rankings is pretty cool to have.

My opinion about the update
Its one of the more meh ones but still nice enough for me its nice to see the TT back with a more proper sound no less , the Fit is just... a fit (although is quite fun to drive ) 962 GOD WHAT A BEAST! i don't really care about the Gordini but why its in GR.X ? if it is because of its classification as a rally car in GT6 as someine mentioned then why did they add the car now? unless they plan a classic rally category so fair enough , and finally the AE86 so people can 🤬 up now for a bit at least ... who am i kidding of course they are not going to .. some here are complaining about the 🤬🤬 dash seriously ? a 🤬 dash of all things.. you could complain about the car not being the Initial D version which would have been valid but nooo every month we have to hit a new low in these "after update" threads.

Why does the AE86 sound like an ice cream van when the speed warning goes off around 100 km/h? It sounds so odd (use interior view to hear).

Has anyone checked into the Global Manufacturer Rankings? Is it just counting the point leader from the region or does it combine a few of the top drivers from each region?

I'm not sure that I understand your question. Is it inaccurate to its real life counterpart or have you never heard it before?

So we finally got the Trueno premium, but with the wrong dash :grumpy: Out of all cars, they had to mess this up :banghead:

Apparently, the digital dash comes standard with the 3 door zenki (early model) AE86, and only in Japan.
As is the car that we got in the update. I'm not understanding the issue here.

It's a workaround, but you could always apply black decals over the plates if they bother you that much.

WUT!!! The R8 Gordini is eligible for the Nostalgia 1979 Cup.... I can't believe it!!

Ferrari P4, Jag XJ13..... Renault R8 Gordini . I HAVE to try it.
