It does suck that we are three weeks in and the EU are still in the dark about our participation. However, this beta is following a pretty standard path compared to others. It's just that PDi have done such a poor job over the years of communicating to us that people have very little patience left.

I can wait but I think it would be nicer to know when it's about to release here. Furthermore I am not so excited anymore about it since all the videos and live streams went out. I know what I am about to get and see, so it wont be as cool as being completely new to it. Surely I wanna try it out and play it aswell. But that suprise effect on what is to expect is totally gone sadly.

I think quite a lot of people feel jaded about the GT series these days. Being a fan of GT has not been a very fruitful existence in the past few years.

Thats true. I still dont understand why PD has no kind of communication about their shedule or what they are working on etc.
Same now for the Beta we will know about it when the first people scream I GOT A CODE ! from the EU. But I doubt there will be any info somewhere officially.

I love it so far with what the beta is. To see the whole game will be awesome!

I hope for GT fans that this time around PD ships the whole game. It would be complete suicide if they'd give features like the livery editor in "in an pcoming update... Soon" as they did with GT6.

Thankfully Kaz has managed to keep quiet and has over promised much so it looks like there's not much to worry.

Spot on man it's just shocking that people tell you why you should not like a track or how it doesn't belong in a game makes no sense to me.

You should probably dissociate your own feelings from objective criticism of a track. I haven't seen anyone in the last couple pages tell you why you shouldn't like it. I've seen a few people present their opinions which are not the same as yours. Discussion. It's the new hotness.

For example, I like Shift 2. I've bought it on two platforms. But I can still recognise that it's an objectively awful game, even though I have a pretty good time playing it. I can have discussions with people who think it sucks donkey giblets, because I know that there are objectively valid reasons for them to feel that way even though my personal perspective is different.

Pretty amazing, huh? Try it. It's kind of fun. (Not taking offense when someone has a different opinion, that is. Not Shift 2. I do like it, but I'm not enough of a sadist to recommend it to anyone.)

You could well be right.

But I suspect we may see an update to the "Gran Turismo Sport BETA Announcement" news item on gran-turismo.com when Phase 2 commences.
Although, I also suspected that we may have seen the start of the EU BETA roll-out by today, so......

There is going to be an EU Beta Announcement one week before the invites if I remember correctly mate. And I think its gonna be after a month of so from the start of US beta phase 1.

i'm curious if get a somehow updated version of the beta

What kind of update do you expect?I think its gonna be the same stuff with the US guys.Beta for me seems to do 2 things:
-Check for bugs and a test for the online part of the game
-Add hype for the game (free advertisement) -as any other beta does for that matter that can be shared via video, live streaming or other methods-.

I was thinking they may want to test Fisherman's Ranch.
Maybe add it to Arcade.
Or see how Gr.1 cars BoP works in the hands of the public.

I don't see many downfalls if PD were to add what is already available to the general public at expos. etc
Just more data, and enticement for those already involved to continue testing.

My logic is this.EU beta propably will be the same as US beta phase 1 (and 2 off course). So unless they update US beta one, then we are not going to see anything new.Can we expect an update in the current beta?I am not so sure about that happening.
It would be good,I hope they do that but still.....

The last thing I am is a software designer.
But I don't see it as difficult to start adding Gr.1 cars as prizes for completing the daily marathon.
Bingo.
Gr.1 races.

Seems easy from where I'm sitting. :D

Edit.
Oops, sorry, Fishermans.
Yes, I see what you are saying.
The only thing I've got is perhaps it's already included in the 13Gb download.
Otherwise it would need (something like) a 1.01 update.
Not that I'm familiar with beta tests, but that does seem unlikely to me too.

Serious question, how different is the whole game going to be from the beta? Livery editor ( It's PDI, who knows when it will be in the game orhow extensive it is ), I'm presuming photomode is not in the beta?

Yep, i thought GT5 was a terrible game. Hugely disappointing, but i enjoyed it a lot over the years thanks to friends and players i had met. Sadly GT6 couldn't replicate this as it seamed no one on my PSN list were impressed by it.

Super close finish with my horrible driving. Is this my fault?
Ugh those sounds.

Which part? The part where you put him into the wall? The part where you hit the wall on the exit of the corner? Or the part where you turned into him as he pulled alongside you?

HAHAHA that player must really hate me. I wonder if they're on gtplanet... Sorry pal.

I've just hit the C rating and I am having a lot of trouble doing well in online races (especially on the Nurburgring). I was doing so good before then and now I usually end up near dead last. Is there any way I can get myself down to a D again? I really want to keep on playing the beta and I can't if I'm competing with some of the best racers in the game.

Try going into options and delete your data

Bro what are you talking about? Some of you guys really crack me up, please explain to me again where I took offense or came at another member? and you might wanna look harder there are people really question the people who actually like the track... Again I don't care what you think, what I said was based on what people are saying about the track. I never came at one member negative if you don't like it fine but DONT tell me I have no right expressing what I feel on the matter or tell me to try it...

Is it your fault at the 6 second mark that you used the other driver as another 4 tires to make the corner at too much speed and punted him into a wall? Yes.

👎

Wow, that was dirty... I hope J.T. sees this and gets you deported!

HAHAHA that player must really hate me.

And this reaction makes it even worse... way to represent our country.

Which leads me to this question...

On the PS3, you had the option of adding people to a Block List, as I did multiple times on GT6, and I never saw those people I blocked in the online Quick Matches again. Does that option exist on the PS4/GTSport???

Cheers

Well with it being a BETA he can probably just get away with saying he was testing if punting and wallriding had been addressed in the PD offices when GTS was being developed? and the answer is no! :D

It was definitely some bad driving but not really that big a deal considering all you're doing is testing a game and looking for flaws to report back to PDHQ anyway, the time to get serious is when the finished item gets released sometime in the next year or 2 or 3 or 4 :P
