Hey guys, Do you have any problem with g29 brake pedal? I need to push it VERY HARD to get 100% braking bar filled. Tested also with AC and seems fine. Tomorrow I'll try with GT6 and PJC. I don't understand if it's a calibration problem or the load cell is ****ed. Eventually, where can I buy a new one ?
If you youtube g29 removable brake mod this will sort you out. They have put a little black piece of hard rubber in the brake which ive heard from many is no good. Once removed still have a very firm pedal but much more like the g27 feel but slightly firmer

The last time i did this was during July 2015 when i photoshopped the GT6 site page to look as if Course Maker (Track Path Editor) got released. Guess what? I got a 5 point warning that to this day didn't go away and made me feel ashamed & regret.
Ah crap :( yeah that sucks! At least I wrote in the spoiler it was meant as a joke, but I removed it. The joke wasn't meant to stay up this long anyway. Just forgot to remove it :)

Can you guys help me how to access the private beta forums? I open a link from the e-mail, log in when prompted and after I hit log in website goes white and nothing is shown. I can't refresh the site.. nothing
Try through the game? It's in the info bar at the bottom. I can access it no problem.

Sorry, I haven't been able to work this out yet.

Is it the case that US drive US events and EU drive EU events only, or do the events cross over and are available for all beta players at the set server times?

Is it possible to adjust the pedal sensitivity on my t300 in the beta? The sensitivity setting i found is for the streering only, right?!

Probably something you should let them know in the feedback tracker. :)

Just did my first lap on the Nordschleife in the GT3 cars..and wow I'm disappointed. The trees all look the same, their shadows are not good either. But what bothers me a lot is the grass. It looks 2D, like someone turned down the graphics on PS2 mode. Also what is visible offtrack on the left side between Hohe Acht and Karussell...that seriously looks like a PS2 game. The track itself is total clean and lifeless, even the spectators are not helping, they look just like in GT6. Either they will improve the graphics a lot or this will not get good reviews. In all other games, the Nordschleife is represented well and alive..but here it is like the rest of the beta: it is to sterile, there is no life in it.

If the current state of the game is what we see in the final game, I'm not going to buy it. It is just not fun for me to drive.

One thing is really starting to annoy me in the beta and that's not being able to unlock cars faster. Right now I have the Hyundai Genesis for the N300s, which is way too slow to be competitive, the best car I have in Gr.4 is the Scirocco, which was good at Brands (apart from it's awful starts), but at Dragon Trail it just doesn't have the traction out of the slow corners, and for the Gr.3 I have the VW GTI VGT and the Toyota FT1, both of which are way too unstable to set a decent time at Nurb.

So basically I'm stuck in a position where I don't have a competitive car for any of the tracks (apart from maybe Dragon Trail) and have to wait for 1 to be unlocked each day.

As far as the rest of the game goes, the graphics and physics haven't changed much from GT6, but sounds are definitely better and I'm loving the ranking system which means you can actually get into good races, something you couldn't do on previous GTs.

I was underwhelmed in GTS Ring but then I watched this and came back to reality ;)

Not sure which games suppose to be so much better than GTS cos Forza 6 there looks worse in all aspects from lighting to road surface, car models and even tire squill.

Or ProjectCARS - I like it a lot more than Forza 6 but I don't see any more "life" in any

Really they all look kinda the same expect for GTS lighting which actually makes it the less sterile of 'em all.

Lighting in that looks pretty good to me. Although hard to compare the two with them being at such different times of the day. Cockpit lighting defo better in FM6. However, lets compare GTS to FM7 & PC2 as they will release at around the same time ;)

Look at Eiger in GTHD. Then again in GT5P. Then again in GT5? It went from sterile to clean to full of life with grass and flowers and more spectators you could imagine. Wacikg flags, clapping hands +++ Do you seriously think GTS will look like what we see in the beta? I don't. Why? They've done this before. :P

Well there was 4 years between the release of GTHD and GT5, so we can't expect to see quite as much of an improvement. But as @TurismoBad pointed out, it still looks better than other console racing games so I suppose there isn't too much to improve on. I suppose my sense of good graphics has been thrown out by playing on PC.

I was not referring to other games (more to real life), but as you started it: Stop the Pcars video at 10 seconds: There are flowers for example. Also the grass in pcars is not in 2D (Can't speak for the Ps4 version), it is just there. In 3D. You can drive through it. Also, look how the track looks between the barriers and the fence for the spectators (esp. around Hohe Acht until Brünnchen. In GTS it is all in just one color, with some bushes, which are not looking PS4-like.

You mentioned the lightning. It is often too bright, the trees sometimes look like they are being illuminated from the ground. It is a little to extreme.

That's why I said if it stays in the current version for final release. But after all those years developing with a release in 2017, I suspect they have more important things on their list to do before release. Would be happy to be proven wrong, but I don't expect it. The Beta is the first opportunity for "the masses" to see the game and then they give us an rather unfinished Nordschleife? I don't think so.

@psychoazubi A demo or a time exclusive retail is a look for the masses, imo. I don't think a beta per definition is!
But anyway, let's see how it turns out. I'm positive on the things you mentioned.
Good to see you again!

It depends on when they're targeting the release. We got an improved tire model, BOP changes, server improvements, and audio adjustments in one update from the beta, so things can no doubt improve rapidly.

If they're aiming for the holidays, then it is safe to expect some tangible upgrades.

BoP is still not where it needs to be.

Certain cars have a clear advantage. I own a GT-R Gr.4, so I can win races and do reasonably well in Gr.4.

N300, on the other hand, I do not own a Lancer. My best car is The Audi TT-S, and it's basically like being in a second class. The Lancers are just that good.

And the GT-R's are as well, I believe both need to be corrected.

Did a nice hotlap around Nurb. 6:58 on controller but my record from PCars is 6:42.
Don't know if i can beat or get close to that...

EDIT: Only ABS turned on to mild and TC to 1 because game is not balanced well enough so for some reason you are faster with some TC on then off...PD...
Also Stock setup.

All those changes are so very, very, minor that if people didn't see the 1.04 update note they would never know the difference

@EDK The Lancers seem to be the biggest culprits from the impressions I got. The GTR launches off the line in a really unfair manner but I've seen drivers dominate with other cars.

I read the PD were forcing 2nd gear starts for the GTRs or was that a suggestion?

@diesel97 Wouldn't call the tire model changes minor. Even so, that's what a small update in a beta does, they still have months worth of development. It's not a certainty but the updates that tracks like Northern Isle got since the reveal, give me hope.

I bet my two cents that they'll add in life and spectators later. It doesn't require much effort. We'll see..

I wouldn't hold your breath all this stuff that is missing is to help frame rate and frame tearing IMO

This is why they have gone the route of 2D modeling.
