Welp, its happening.

Speaking of more codes.
Is the Signup still open or has they closed for the US again?

https://www.playstation.com/en-us/campaigns/2017/gran-turismo-sport-beta-sign-up/

Still looks open to me.

My first post here on GTP, although I have come here for info since the GT5 days. I been following this thread and was motivated to finally create an account to weigh in and provide info on the beta code: I received one at 10:30 PST in Cali today. Also, I signed up twice (and had given up hope actually) and DO NOT have Playstation Plus. The size of the download is 13.3 GB. Since this is my son's 1-month birthday today this just added to the joy of the day.

I played a lot of GT4, GT5HD, GT5P, GT5 and GT6. Also (barely) played GT1, skipped GT2 and 3 (did not have Playstation during those times).

Other fun facts about me:
-Played Tourist Trophy and didn't like it
-Proponent of Bikes in GT
-Proponent of a (separate) open-world GT game
-Not a big Online guy (in any games)
-Loved the create-a-track feature in GT6
-Hate rolling starts against the AI (rather have Grid Starts)
-Proponent for Qualifying races and better damage in GT6
-Not a big "sound" aficionado so not a big critic of GT6 sounds
-I play 90% in 3rd person/behind the car view
-I don't own a steering wheel
-As I've gotten older racing has become my "go-to" genre in gaming

That WRX sounds nothing like a Boxer sadly:indiff: Sounds actually pretty bad

Here's what hood cam sounds like in real life on an Impreza. I kinda prefer the GTS version. Lotsa wind in real life! Maybe it was just a cheap camera?

No I asked him to switch for chase view and it sounded exactly the same... no boxer exhaust note at all

I am trying my best to keep from being salty; but glad that so many more of you guys are getting in! I'll hold out hope, but it sucks that I don't even have my T150 to use while I wait.

Hoping the EU Beta will start this weekend, a week after you US guys. I have time off work all next week anyway so it would be perfect timing to spend time with it! My Elgato game capture is setup ready. :gtpflag:

Please don't disappoint PD! :nervous:

Welcome to GTPlanet!

Hey everyone! I just created my account, no profile pic (to haunt your dreams) yet and literally no profile whatsoever yet. I know this is probably not the place to introduce myself but I just wanted to say hi. I hope to get to know a lot of you, learn from you guys, and answer any questions that pop up. I'm off to my stream now, and I'll check back in here a little later.

P.S. I think I have fixed the display area now.
Welcome to GTPlanet @marvthegamer

It went through a lot of redesigns but the HUD still looks very intrusive. Especially in chase cam. Hopefully we can chop and change it à la Project CARS. :)

Hey Marvin: your tv is probably overscanning, so now that you fixed the Display Area the PS4 is actually underscanning in order to cancel the difference in pixel scaling.

Search in your TV settings the option that gives you 1:1 pixel mapping, then fix the PS4 display area again. Name of this TV option can be different from model to model (Full Pixel, Widescreen Full...)

It's important to fix because otherwise pixels aren't showed at their proper size, resulting in a worse image quality.

I think I found it, the aspect ratio was set to 16:9, and it had the option "just scan", hope it works. Thanks for the help!
