Could be the DR and SR at work by drawing better competitors as the night progressed. I would say my driving actually improved even though my finishes weren't as good.
You could see that system at work for sure, it's promising. For me it was fatigue and poor tuning/experimenting. I think I put down my fastest lap of the entire night on my 5th or 6th lap

Hey everyone! I just created my account, no profile pic (to haunt your dreams) yet and literally no profile whatsoever yet. I know this is probably not the place to introduce myself but I just wanted to say hi. I hope to get to know a lot of you, learn from you guys, and answer any questions that pop up. I'm off to my stream now, and I'll check back in here a little later.

P.S. I think I have fixed the display area now.
Gotta be a record for most likes ever for a new member:cheers:. Welcome aboard:gtpflag:

About engine braking in rear wheel drive cars.During hard braking if you downshift too fast(for about one or two seconds from sixth to first gear) will the rear wheels lock?
Thanks in advance :)
I haven't plowed that far down through the gears, but yes, I've made the car mighty upset with early downshift.

Looks like it's been asked but no one answered - if you receive an invite to the beta, does the PlayStation app alert you or should I be checking the PS4 instead?
It will appear in you app's notifications, but it didn't push the alert to me. Even when I opened the app and it refreshed, there was no notification bubble. Didn't see anything until I opened the notifications.

@DaBomb330 @TNR_5zigen congrats to you guys getting beta access. Ive watched your uploaded videos, if anyones looking for Alien quick drivers on wheels:

Zigen:

Dabomb:

Thoughts guys? I guess I'm looking for comments on its handling I can judge how it looks and sounds myself? How much of a step up is it from GT6? FFB easy to setup feels grear/bad/the same?

Excelent report from Dabomb. Full of precious informations , a lot of specifics comments for who can´t still play the game and is crazy to do this as soon as possible.
Happy to see the camber working so well.
Transmission fine tuning still possible.
Downforce and air resistance influence over speed seems also very acurate.
This will be an amazing game for sure.
Congrats and thank you.

Check the ps4. A notification from PlayStation should pop up.

Also got me thinking too
Since the beta signups for the US is still open.

All the people got their beta, did you pre-ordered it though the PS Store?

I signed up for the beta on 2 different occasions, but I don't have PS plus and I didn't pre-order the game. As someone here suggested last week, however, I did go into the PS store and hit the "like" button on the GT Sport game page. I'm in Cali, btw.

How are you finding the cars on the kerbs? I was going in a straight line, off power, in the Alfa and touched the kerb and went CRAZY into a spin!:lol:

Seemed a bit too wild to me

About the visiongt cars. Pretty gutted if that would turn out to be true :odd:

Hi Marv, l'm a long time lurker here (as in years) and have come out of slumber just to say thank you. Have really enjoyed your GTS beta stream.

Any footage out there of the Hyundai, Mitsi, Subaru and Ford Gr. 3 cars? I think those are the only ones we haven't seen yet.

-could you elaborate as to why a seasoned "real car racer" with a physics background chooses assetto Corsa and belt drive wheels? It's just that Most guys that have been "sim racing" for 15+ years and who have the $ to race for real have an iracing membership. From my encounters, a vast majority of them don't even consider AC a sim either. Rfactor and iracing seem to take most of the praise when it comes to tire model and physics. You should check them out. AC is nice for hotlapping but by no measure would I ever consider holding it as a "bar" or "standard" to hold other sims / games up against.
Personally I've loved GT just because it's GT. The last thing I think about doing is comparing it to my PC sims. Two completely different worlds.
And I'm not trying to start anything or nit pick on anyone. I just get a little tired of hearing about assetto Corsa on this forum so occasionally I feel somewhat compelled to put a check on the praise it gets from adoring players who don't seem to consider the other offerings.
I can assure you from the most passionate speculation I can muster up into a forum post, that Kaz did not delay GT because of Assetto Corsa. Lol.

I'd also like to add that I don't have a code either. So fml.

Yes Iracing physics are very real also, but AC physics are definitely the best on console, there is nothing real close. A big part of that is how the tire models feel very real around peak grip slip angle condtions.

Main reason I dont use Iracing is the ONE driving view, with its very limited adjustments, is complete crap and you simply cant see anything. Some sim developers simply dont understand that visibilty in a sim is never going to be as good as real life for many reasons. So locking me in to a view were the A pillar is very much in the way and I cant move or tilt the view to were I can see means you end up driving while looking through a port hole, even with 3 screens. Means you are doing everything by timing rather than the proper way of looking ahead. I could go on much longer but worst thing you can do for your driving is to get out of the habbit of looking a head. Iracing also tends to waiste a lot more of the users time when just driving by yourself, resulting in a lot less driving and a lot more waiting to drive.

Now back to the beta, thanks to all for all the videos and live feeds!

Does someone has the Peugeot VGT playable in the beta? If I recall correctly, you can't switch to interior view of AI cars in replays. So, how he is sure the car doesn't have interior view?

Unlikely seeing as we've already seen the interior of the Mazda LM55, Bugatti VGT, and FT-1 Gr. 3. As @Fabr_123 says, the only way to know is to if someone actually receives the Peugeot VGT to drive (if it is indeed the case that we cannot see the interior view of AI cars during a replay). It's also possible that it may not yet have an interior, what with the game not being finished.

Thanks guys. Not sure if the person recieved the car or he switched to it during replay. I'll add the vid and you can judge it yourselves!

Didn't know other VGT cars did show the interior. 👍 As long as it is not officialy confirmed it will stay a bit of a guess I think....

I remember one of the first GT Sport videos uploaded on GTP after the Copper Box event (the ones Polyphony/Sony made the site take down) was of the Bugatti VGT at Tokyo Expressway, interior camera footage included. Heck, there was a shot of that same interior way back in the very first GT Sport trailer shown in October 2015, over one and a half years ago...

Here's another example, the LM55 VGT

That car in GT6 had a solid black interior.

You should be checking your ps4, I never received an email or message on PlayStation app

That's the safe bet. 👍

I just got home from work and the kids are playing Destiny but I had them check and nothing.
