I hope PD actually have some cool damage model, that will be much more effective against wall-riders than losing SR points.

Interesting to hear impressions about Tokyo and to see if it looks more acceptable.

I personally enjoyed driving around it but was shocked to see that the fastest way around the track was by wall riding.

You should see the wall riding little ****s in Driveclub, that was crying out for major penalties for such driving.:D

I think GT Sport colision physics is worse than Driveclub's, and it punishes less the wall riders. Although Driveclub have another problems of that kind like that the fastest driving line in some tracks is out of the tarmac.

PS: Im titejunka ;)

Now that is a big problem. I get that lag is still an issue right now, but Polyphony Digital please give people (more) incentive to not hit the walls. Full stop.
How much streaming causes lag, just wondering.. Seen already those "fast-drivers" streams saying "your network speed is insufficient for streaming" and their 720p60 streams start to stutter badly, barely keeping 144p online and same time driver leads pack.. Everyone enjoys that.. LOL. Even on high-speed internet connection streaming isn't helping on latency, but maybe PD is keen enough and reduces online traffic in cost of detail resolution, just to get us better looking streams, well no-one cares if car movements are having Lego smoothness, stream image resolution is the thing, we want to see 1080p60 Lego moving cars. :)

You can, despite the SR
No races were run here yet, were they? Are you assuming SR won't be impacted by wallriding because there aren't penalties being given for it in qualifying? I noticed that going off track in qualifying rarely resulted in penalties but would immediately result in SR down during a race.

Even if SR gets hit hard for wallriding and brings people in line during the race, it sounds like we'll end up with a bunch of bogus qualifying times.

True...hopefully they extend the penalty time for wall riding from a mere 1.5 seconds to something like 4 or 5 seconds. thats the only way it'll discourage people from wall riding

I don't see myself spending much time in Tokyo. Not only is it too sterile looks wise, its atmospherically lifeless (which is kinda a downgrade from Nurburgring and Northern Isle).

Saw that (on Marvin's stream no less). Good job 👍

My race started ok, then the Ping fairy showed up and just crapped on my SR, disconnecting me in the process.

There is something definitely not right with your internet mate. Every time I remember seeing your name, the car was jumping. Even when all other cars are smooth. It might have looked fine on your screen from the first day you got it, but if you go back to Marvin's streams and check, there is definitely lag your end.

Figures it'd be something I can't see. I honestly don't know why that is, even when my internet has stayed the same and I've even made sure to clear my cache (a habit I've had since GT5).

Others kinda beat me to it...raced Tokyo this morning and the graphics are extremely underwhelming. Takes away from the immersion for sure. Going under the tunnel and coming out into the light is the highlight of the track. It would be more fun to drive also if we weren't limited to using the slow cars.

I think its the Time of day that makes this track underwhelming. personally if the race took place between 6:30PM-7:00AM, it might look a little better.
