Nobody knows what the game will be like until it's released, so calm down and use better grammar. At the moment, it looks like you slapped your hands across the keyboard.
Sorry for that, took my time to type my opinion via gamepad,i just think that what there offering feels barebone compared to the rest.

I just signed up for the closed beta and I hope to have a chance to play it! I've already pre-ordered the game back in May and I've been waiting almost a year to get my hands on it.

Yeah we're all wanting a shot at it pretty bad.

This beta actually a good step from PD to redeem their fault. Look at what happened with GT6, the game feels unfinished with some bugs and glitches, especially when you play online. Now they don't want to repeat their mistakes in the past, so they doing this beta. Another reason probably PD thought that doing build showcase at certain event didn't help this game developed significantly and the amount of progress as we can see so far is very small and not satisfying for some audience.

I don't understand their logic. First the beta was cancelled because it would cause too much delay for GT Sport's development and now a year later they launch a beta ? I am lost.

GT Sport seems very far from finished.
It is gt it is just part for the course.

I just hope the beta isn't online only and can be played in Single Player mode too. I don't really wanna spend money on PS+ for an account I'll only use once.
I would think no matter what you would need a psn.

Not all closed betas have an NDA.
We should wait until we get the codes.
Alot of sony betas did not have an NDA

Also this was written 2012 (Confidential Beta Agreement Version 2.1: June 2012)

I got the link from this sign up page on EU beta. They must have decided this was the correct NDA 2:1 (2012) as they say in the middle by completing this form you agree, and again right at the bottom by clicking you accept this agreement, so I can't see them then changing it all when the codes are released. I thought I would check out the US store and they have a different form, asking email&ageDOB (I guess as it is first phase). It also says they can ban your PSN if they find anything, so I don't think it is worth the risk and I would just be happy to see it on my PS4!:)

I have just seen this tweet from Playstation, it looks they are rotating cars and tracks each day with the online racing testing. How long do Closed Beta's normally run for and can you keep it on the PS4 to use offline or does it just lock and you can't use it?

Maybe he should try it.

I agree it has to be. This beta is to test server load and infrastructure for network races (of which GT Sport will be hosting a lot of). I can only imagine they are near 100% complete to start this stage of testing. June/July seems reasonable to me. I do suspect the beta will not have access to many of the games 'offline' features though, like car customization. It might not even have the ability to do any offline racing.
It would be nice if they didn't pull a CoD, Battlefield and Titanfall and release it at the same time as pcars

Oh yes, it looks as though PD are FINALLY GETTING SERIOUS about this game. I thought the Beta was forgotten about, but obviously not. All of a sudden, Gran Turismo on PS4 is closer than ever, and I desperately want to be selected for this closed Beta. So if the game will drop in July, I have a decision to make : buy it on release day or wait for my birthday to get it... Only if I don't get given the game like the people at GT Academy Melbourne promised. Heck, I should probably get in touch with one of those guys. Hopefully they remember me...:scared:

Interesting, I guess. I signed up for the closed EU Beta but won't be holding my breath for a code. Hopefully they're considerING an Open Beta so those who didn't end up being selected can see what the fuss is all about.

Rotating doesn't seem too promising:

GT-R GT3/Tokyo Expwy

Charger/Brands GP

AMG GT3/Northern Isle

GR.B Mustang/Fisherman's Ranch

Repeat.

Ah silly me i forgot that PD works only from 9 to 5.
09:00 Tokyo is 16:30 LA or 19:30 NY so they will probably still be working when many folks here are tucked up in bed.

...As a counter argument, I could say the time zones make it ideal to let the Asian and Australian gamers have the first dip, since it'll match with Japanese times better than the US time zones...

A fair point, except many folks from AU/NZ seem to have a terrible internet connection (judging by comments here and there.) I know that the US is barely better, but there are far more of them to work with.

That's my guess.

Still wondering where we go give our feedback then and if PD really listens or if it will be just a server stress test.

It will mostly be a stress test, but I imagine after the beta ends there maybe some sort of survey, also keep in mind they read this forum so there is that.

The Rotating combo is clever actually, forcing everyone to try different classes is important to see if certain cars don't belong in some classes.

So this is the "1Q" release, just got me thinking that. Since they did say it I think back in what November August? That it would be released Early 2017?

Can't wait.

I wonder how much or how little we can or cannot share I wonder. Like livestreaming/videos and etc.

As I understand it there will be a beta forum for participants to discuss the beta. Think it's just a server stress test however.

Would be nice if we could get offline practice. Otherwise we'll only get a few minutes before the start of each race, like GT6 quick match.

I imagine one area they will want to keep an eye on is the ranking system behavior. Are the right drivers getting penalized, rewarded, leveled up or down? That's my biggest concern. If the wreckers find a way to game the system and either keep good drivers on their level or stay on the same level despite being an active wrecker, I will haz a sad.

Just putting it out there. :)
But as I've seen this comment fairly consitently, why would you stress test and then also limit numbers?

I can understand region changes.
But to stress test one region first, ie. US, why close it?

Edit.
Oh by the way, seeing as I haven't commented yet, great news on the public beta.

From what I read you give feedback on a special 'beta' forum they will link or they may email you a feedback form. My guess is they will build up the numbers on the beta slowly and they will want as many as possible towards the end to test the servers. I hope most people who applied at least get a chance to play it.

Edit: @PzR Slim beat me to it!
