PD have now over 200 employees

It states its gaming division profits, not PD's as such you are making an assumption.
Dev costs alone are not the only factor involved in selling a game, games do not market and distribute themselves, nor do you earn full profit from every sale you make. Do you honestly think that they made $30 profit on every copy sold?
None of which changes the fact (and its a cold hard one) that PD have brought in zero revenue for Sony this generation, and every that goes by without a release increases the income needed to break even.
Citation pleaseYes and none of that will even come close to the revenue of $750 million+ that PD has brought in with GT. I feel like you're just being stubborn now.
Odd the people behind NFS once thought that as well.Sony/PD are hardly worrying looking at how much money the brand makes.
I would if I could, I simply don't have the money. I also don't have a wheel so I don't think I would get as much out of AC. Hoping both games are on sale in late September, early October. I have PCars to tide me over until then.Pick up both. I own them F1 2016 is a great 'game', very well executed and a great atmosphere. AC complements it nicely, not so much a 'game' but as you might have heard already an excellent driving simulation.
Pretty much my thoughts exactly.I don't really mind the delay, as long as they are improving the game.
However, I do feel that PD really should communicate more with their fans... I remember when Assetto was delayed for consoles, they actually released a new trailer and gave more information, instead of just telling fans "sorry, the game will be delayed" and then going silent again (whatever happened to the PitStop blog?)...
If Forza is unhealthy due to declining sales, what exactly is GT's health going by sales figures? GT6 sold less than GT5 Prologue. The game couldn't even sell half the number of its predecessor.Sales are non existent because a product has not been released. They are not unhealthy like Forza's. We do not know the health of the GT franchise till it releases.

By your judgment of "franchise health", GT is in a much worse place after GT6's poor reception and needs Sport more than ever to be a sales success.
Which doesn't answer the point he was making at all. You said Forza's sales were unhealthy (without providing a source or a frame of reference by the way) but failed to answer how GT's nearly 60% drop in sales from GT5 to GT6 was not also a sign of poor health for the franchise. Selling more in a race to the bottom isn't necessarily a sign of a healthy franchise is it?All racing games are declining. GT6 sold more than other racing games during the same time. I think 10million mark is pretty impossible now for a racing game.
Exactly. Although with respect to @gtracedriver1, he wasn't the user who made the comment about the "health" of the franchise.Which doesn't answer the point he was making at all. - Overwatch (Square Enix)
- Final Fantasy XV (Square ENix)
- Gravity Rush 2 (SIE)
- Horizon: Zero Dawn (SIE)
- New Hot Shots Golf (SIE)
- RIGS: Mechanized Combat League (SIE)
- Gran Turismo Sport (SIE)
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Bandai Namco)"
Great... I'm getting a PS4 for Christmas & it was mainly just for GT Sport. No more Christmas GT for me! It could release anytime, I predict November 2017. Oh well, gives me more time to save up for the collectors edition I guess
Thank you Poly marketing, why should I prefer a legendary track like Gran Valley or Deep Forest in PS4 graphics glory over the new most exciting Tokyo ghost town and the randomly generated rally track...Oh boy, can't wait to see the same build for the 3rd time.
What do you want? A developer diary on youtube We do not deserve Poly, they are too good for us. Let the social media tools for others. I'm sure Poly is preparing a CD demo for the next Playstation Magazine.Well PD needs indeed an overhaul because for todays standarts they are far behind. The most ridicious thing though is, that the guy behind PD (Kaz) can't be taken serious in any way. Everytime hes in an interview he gives empty promises aswell as the standart reply "thats something we are also looking into"
Nothing really ever been the way Kaz told us. They are being extremely slow but the most negative about them is simply the lack of communication between the community and them.
While other developers have active forums where they give updates and let the community know on whats going on and even reply to questions or take suggestions from the community, PD does simply nothing. We all thought that Blog they opened would change things but it didn't. There are no kind of relevant news regarding developement progress and overall not many updates on anything but usually public events.
That attidute wont work very long anymore.
And for a little temporal relieve for them, Microsoft might not be at TGS, so GTS could steal the whole racing show at home!
The least PD could have done was port GT5 & GT6 to the PS4 to allow people to continue playing on a new console while they wait.
