So why did they look so much better on Brands and the Ring on the same stream?
You're the one who said it, not me. Tarmac textures are probably better in the Oval track. Nurb and Brands look great due to the foliage and time of day lighting.

Impressions:
It's basically GT6 with some extra fluff. Not impressed.
Plus, the 488 GT3 is out and so is the 570S GT3. No excuses if they want a FIA gameNow that event itself wrapped up, i'd like to spend a few words on everything.
The Event itself was a really good idea, after months of silence this was really a refresher and put me in the mood for more of this happening and actually revolving around Gran Turismo. Even the Snapchat thing was pleasurable giving insights on the show and game ( i've even managed to see some cockpit views racing around the desert! Amazing to be honest)
The Game as previously stated is only at 50%. Be it in good or in the bad they sid that the title will release in the first half of November, it showed magnificent UI design and ideas, clever use of ingame resources and please, please. Photomode looks fairly more than promising.
But in depth.
The Graphics gave me a mixed feeling; during the Brands Hatch race i was euphoric most of the time while during the Oval i alternated Man, tf am i watching? moments with wew that flyby was brilliant!.
The GT6 vibe is pretty much there, and that's not much of a compliment. 137 Cars aren't much, but aren't even that many if you think about
The Tracks felt dull, glacial, lifeless and yet so much interesting. That's quite actually frustrating, i spent most of the Nurburgring race expecting a few showers. The race with the miata looked barely interesting: concrete, asphalt and car. Empty seats and general stillness pervaded the racetracks. Willows Springs actually got my eye with the dirigibles and banners, but it wasn't even showed ingame. I'm waiting for Seattle pics bytheway.
- there will be dupes ( as stated with VGTs present with BoP applied and not)
- they didn't add the GT6 premiums. Yes. They really did. Just when they said that the premiums were "PS4 Ready"
The sound got me even more perplexed.
The bimmer now looks something like a car, and that's a good sign. V8s still need some work, now aggressive enough. It was really appreciated the sound of the turbo coming from both the Evo and Subie, too much of a "tuner" sound actually but that's a step in the right direction.
The Car groupings were just...wrong?
You don't put a 2010's Peugeot against a 2012 audi against a 2025 hyundai. That's silly. The bugatti just needs to be put under the GT3 race spec. The open top volkswgen was racing. Yeah why the opne top one and not the latest one? This paragraph might appear too subjective so let's move on.
The general impression is that the build for the show was rushed, full of bugs ( that's why they changed build day by day.) and uninspired in the point of the game: the game itself. Racing appears to be too much of a hassle in comparison of the photomode. Not to mention those brave guys that for sure gave their best during every race, we see you. It's not easy to race on the ring or any track on 200+ fictional km/h, unless at home. I wasn't even being sarcastic, imagine the pressure of having people watching you do that.
Calm down, it's just a demo!
Painfully. If they'd released the Beta the guys at PD would've sorted out all the problems with the game right in time for September, giving time to the players to get used to the new game and to be "picky" (because let's face it, the driving sim community is one of the pickiest community i've ever seen.) and the release date would just be a confirmation of GT's rule as driving game even on next gen. They even went as far as not implementing the old premiums and "work all the cars from scratch", adding more and more time to spend in recreating already outdated models of cars. They've just added the Ferrari 458 GT2. A six years old car.
But now? A big fat question mark. Almost 2 years of work for this? With a release date of just November? I'm trying as much to not be hateful here, just trying to give out my honest opinion, but to be really honest they appear as in deep sea with production/optimization. E3 is just behind the corner and we know that the E3 is the great equalizer here; will they really make it in time for november? What they'll show at E3? The same old trailer shown 3+ times today?
What do you think? Am i too pessimist or misjudginh something?

It does look really nice, but what's odd is the amount of illumination from what I'm guessing is the moon?![]()

This is purely my guesswork as to why the game might be 50% complete with 6 months to go. If they started on the core stuff (game engine, lighting engine, etc, maybe physics) 3 years ago as soon as GT6 launched (or soon after), it may be that they only started on the "front end" of the game (career structure, graphical "tarting" up, online structure etc) approx 6 months ago. So, perhaps (repeat this is just a guess on my part) this could be what was meant. While it may take 3 years or more to build it up from scratch, the top layer could maybe be planned to be completed in a year?
If that guess is correct, then I think that maybe the core stuff won't change much before release (except more "tarting up" on graphics such as tyre tracks and stuff like that), but the "front end" might still look somewhat different come November.
Either that, or they really did only start their work on the game when they released the track editor thingy for GT6, which I personally think unlikely.
But all that is just my personal opinion and guesswork.

No light coming from the front of the car,,,?It does look really nice, but what's odd is the amount of illumination from what I'm guessing is the moon?
Didn't even notice that, actually. There also seems to be a dim spotlight on it as well.No light coming from the front of the car,,,?
Watching the live stream it said 'SEATTLE SHORT' on the leader boards. does anyone have images of the course, has it been shown?

Looks like the brake lights are on. And in the trailer it showed how you could position the cars in the photomode locations and turn lights on and off. So maybe in this pic the brake lights were on but the lights were not?No light coming from the front of the car,,,?
Oh, that sucks. I wonder if they include scapes like this from racetrack, if regular replay photomode will even be presentSadly, that's a "Scape" of the Ring. A photo of the track at night...
There is a option to add light sources in scapesIt does look really nice, but what's odd is the amount of illumination from what I'm guessing is the moon?
As I noted one being over the vehicle. However, I don't think that's the case for the actual back/foreground as well as the sky. Nothing to serious really, just something I noticed.Oh, that sucks. Kaz shares his thoughts about the race while the camera goes mad.
Kaz says: "The race was a bit rough so maybe they need a little bit more practise before they go out on track."
According to Kotaku, Gran Turismo Sport is a spinoff and Gran Turismo 7 is in development alongside Gran Turismo Sport.

Anyone capture footage of the new Tokyo Expressway? I missed that part of the stream.
This thread is moving at light speed. I posted a link to the Acura NSX Concept trailer 40 pages ago where Seattle is briefly shown.Watching the live stream it said 'SEATTLE SHORT' on the leader boards. does anyone have images of the course, has it been shown?
The question is: would be there any open lobby's? And if yes then is there tracks and cars that could work with those type of lobbys?
I know i sound silly but one of the things i fear about GTS is that with what GTS aims for, i afraid that stuff like free run type of lobby's might not exists.
