I think I've lost my PS camera thing. I took it out of the box, thought "this is a silly gimmick like Kinect, I'll never end up using this" and I put it somewhere - not sure where, but somewhere out of the way. I definitely didn't bin it or anything like that, but now it looks like I'll have to venture forth into the cupboards and find it... :ouch:
I too have a distant memory of buying one but no idea where it is!

Anyone ever stop to consider that because GTSport is a beta, Kaz doesn't think it's a big deal, it's not a full game or even a finished game after all, and there may not be a grand launch or big announcement, it might just sort of come out?

It's always possible because it's Polyphony, but it would be a "why would you do that?" sort of thing.

I could understand not wanting to bother with any sort of advertising campaign for a beta, but they'd get an awful lot of mileage out of a $20 press release. It's Gran Turismo, and the gaming media will still fall over themselves to cover it.

Also, it would seem a bit out of character when this was their last release:

I'm not expecting fireworks and Kaz Face for a beta, but not saying anything? That would be odd.

Like I said a few days ago I really don't think they could just do a surprise launch because not enough of the world knows about the game at all. It has had one public appearance, in October, and that's it. People will have forgotten, don't even know, or have lost interest even if they see the beta.

Games like Uncharted have constant press and have been at all the big game shows the last few years, people know about it and are hyped. GTS, except die hards like the population here, has fallen out of the spotlight. It needs to be back in it IMO before the beta launches.

Not exactly grasping why people have a problem with a watchmaker making a VGT yet no complaints for Nike or Jordan when this whole thing was first announced, both of which who also aren't in the Auto Industry.
.

No idea if I said anything about it at the time but no, I don't care for those either. The Nike in GT4 was a 10 minute novelty to me, nothing more. I can't modify them, can't make them my own and there is no attachement to a brand with no racing heritage. If you had a real world garage full of cars with Astons, Ferraris, Lambos etc how often are you going to get the watchmaker car out?

Totally agree on this.

Also, RE:⌚ , as someone mentioned previously, seems to be another boring futuristic concept...

I can't quite believe it, but I managed to find it! :gtpflag:

There was a point where I had convinced myself that I never actually owned one, such was my inability to find it, at which point I distantly remembered exactly which cupboard I had put it in... I went to check and there it was.

Looking at the press release, it really doesn't seem like Gran Turismo is involved in any way.

What perplexes me is where Matthieu Lauraux from TF1 got his info from/ why he decided to claim what he claimed... he not only said (quite surely) that this would be a VGT, but that there would also be a 1:1 model of the car, which also doesn't seem to be the case.
