Not exactly sure what you're leading at... But if this were simply a render I doubt it would have had the helmet detail. Looks to me almost like a replay function from in game used to debut the GTR.
The fact that you where able to decide that its physics matches that of GT by watching it, is what I'm wat'ing at. It's just an odd thing to be able to judge visually .

I believe @ImaRobot's point is that you don't "see" the physics, certainly not to the level that you could call them GT's.

(EDIT) Beaten by the man himself.

Also, I'm pretty sure the gold visor helmet was used in the original GT Sport trailer. This appears to be a very similar design...

Oh, very similar! I think you're right.

They're most certainly getting paid for it. Money for a service is generally a good idea for any business running on a budget.

Your saying PD get paid by the manufacturers right? That's fine and all going in deep and close with the manufacturers, but my worry is that they go far too far that way. Bottom line is GT is a game and my worry is the manufacturers/FIA get to dictate things or cause things to become "complicated" as a man once said.

I just don't know how long I can be bothered to hold out now. Given what must be 3+ years PD have been working on GTS we have about 30 seconds of PS4 replay/photo mode footage. We haven't seen nothing that resembles a game.

At this point I'd accept anything if they would just communicate honestly and forthrightly where they are with the game and its release.

Clearly GTS footage. The engine sound seems to have been added later and is not coming from the game.

AES failed and they are working on a new system. In the meantime they will re-use GT6 sounds.

That would be hilarious. It's PD so YOU KNOW it's possible

Can we at least try to be optimistic?

As of late, I'm not sure that's happening. As far as I can tell, he's already got his foot out the door anyhow so I don't get why he just proceed to go out. Besides, he's blocking the doorway :P

A PD/Nissan partnership should be no surprise to anyone. PD designed the touch panel interface in the GT-R, not to mention GT Academy is a Nissan thing.

Well, I'll be at NYIAS on Friday. If there's a rig set up with the new GT-R at the Nissan booth, I'll give it a go. And I'll report back, don't worry.

Highly doubtful that it'll be there, but who knows?

Here's something optimistic from me :odd:

This GT-R might be in the GT Academy 2016.
Okay, who are you and what have you done with @super_gt ?:sly:

Where are all the twitter and facebook warriors when we need them? Hurry up guys and flood the internetz with questions attempting to verify the origin of this GT-R in this trailer!

Gotta wait until Friday because that's answer day!

Now maybe it's because I want to see it, but I'm pretty sure the visor banner is the same colour as the one from the GTS trailer as you have shown. The text even appears to be the same proportion, but I can't actually read it.

Either. Could be, idk.

Could just be rendered in-engine but not in any specific game.

Except...

I'm not exactly sure that's GTS footage, but I'm 100% sure racing suit and helmet are exactly same with GTS trailer.

Also, the driver grips the wheel in the first shot exactly as the driver does in GT6. Check it out in Photo Mode with the GT-R from the same angle...

Missing self-reflections like the mirrors typically seen in Gran Turismo.

This shot is also missing self-reflections...
