A long time GT fan would realize that 3 years is a walk in the park...

Actually, a long time Gran Turismo fan, who has waited patiently for each Gran Turismo game, would realize enough is enough. Polyphony is taking way too long to release Gran Turismo 7 or sport. There has been very little news about Gran Turismo Sport or 7. With each passing year, Microsoft releases a new Forza game, and another racing game is released.

You ready to give up or what?

welp....

One way this long time GT fan has passed the time between games: Play other racing games :)

I just simply come back when relevant news comes (Hopefully). If not, back to said other game. No sweat for me and no skin off my back, hence no need for the hilarious ransom-esque demand that GT hurries up.

As far as I'm concerned they are in the dust cloud somewhere, but when they drop Sport they'll come flying through it right back to where they were with just a slight lead cushioning them from the competition.

I'll admit, the last few days I've been getting excited because of the surveys and the little bits being found here and there. There's something 10 year old Christmas morning-esque about a new GT coming out, except none of us know what day "Christmas" is and that it has been a long-arse time since the last one.

i've been trying to get use to my new wheel its gonna be hard to switch from controller

It is like, every day, I check Google news about Gran Turismo 7 or sport. No news. Then I see a new Forza coming out. Again, with each passing day and new racing simulator coming out, Gran Turismo is withering into irrelevancy. While I agree it is better to have a feature complete, bug-less free game. There is a fine line between taking a few years to create a solid game, and taking too many years, releasing a good game, but is trounced immediately by the competition. Forza is pretty good, but I couldn't bear to buy a Xbox One. I like Gran Turismo 6, but I have over played it. Polyphony needs to shift into high gear and start working toward releasing Gran Turismo 7 soon.

I think it's more the fact that it's a confirmation that things are still happening and working at Polyphony HQ, more than anything.

Albeit not things related to the game. One wonders how much work Polyphony has done for Nissan over the years.

Having these "related" side projects is nice and all, but there's something to be said for getting the bread and butter right first. Is Polyphony a game developer who happens to dabble in motoring marketing, or the other way around?

The lighting looked really similar to the reveal trailer, but the camera panning and angles were the dead giveaways for me. I'm 100% sure this some sort of GT Sport footage, there's no reason for PD to still be using GT6 for marketing material.

I have to say, in regards to the Nissan GTR trailer. It could very well be possible, the game footage is not Gran Turismo Sport or 7 at all, but rather is computer generated. It is also possible it is Gran Turismo 6 game engine, but modified? Nevertheless, it is honestly too short to be definitive of what it is.

Sure as hell would be better than what EA puts through the pipes right now..

I agree, I think the best Need For Speed games were NFS II, NFS Hot Pursuit (1998), and Porsche Unleashed. I don't like any of the post NFS Underground style games. I wish EA could go back to their roots and make games they made back then. I would love a reboot of Need For Speed II with 2016 graphics with the Ford GT90 and all of the tracks like Mediterraneo.

Good spot. Some comparisons to GT6 would be good from someone, for those corners that are identifiable.

What corner is this?

I don't mind the wait, sure that sounds really contradictory of me, but it would be better to have a fully developed game than to have a rushed and incomplete one.

Of course, that's assuming the long wait equates to a fully developed and complete game on release, whenever it does come.

*glares at GT6 v1.00*

I think Gran Turismo 7 should emulate the simplicity of Gran Turismo 3 and it would be perfect. Cut out all the load times, any convoluted menus, bring back the old style career mode (needing to acquire licenses) and just make it fun. I have to say, Gran Turismo 3 despite being 15 years old, still looks really good.

Not sure if relented to this recent findings But GT6 just jump to #5 on amazons hourly 100 charts.

guess people really are waiting for the next gt game

Am I the only one not impressed by the footage with the GTR, maybe it's the filters but it kinda looks like Driveclub, washed out and color corrected to look gritty and cinematic, but GT5 looked more realistic to me as far as color and contrast went. Waiting for actual gameplay, but hopefully they don't diverge from their path of having realistic art style, the graphics is the only thing that interests me in GTS.
