I’m having difficulty getting gold on the mission challenge with the 919 at Interlagos. I’ve tried fuel map 6 but the AI catches up on the final lap and nudges me into a wall; likewise, fuel map 1 is no good either. After 4 continuous attempts I’ve had enough.

And on the subject of AI, the AI in this game is abysmal! Even more brain dead than GT5 and GT6 - at least the AI in those games showed respect while approaching or passing them. It makes the racing etiquette entirely redundant.

The way I did this race was: I started on racing hards and immediately switched into fuel mode 6. I was able to only stop once for new racong hards and a full tank and hold off second for a 1.5 second win. The last few laps I ran in fuel mode 1, but the rest I ran in mode 6.

Tip for anyone thinking of doing that custom race glitch check your PS4 rest mode timer, I started one last night and woke up this morning and my PS4 was in rest mode lol

Started it again at 7am for a 24h Nurburgring custom race i'll get around 8 million and 64,000 XP for doing nothing lol

Am I right in thinking that Multiplayer is Region-specific?

I’ve only been playing against fellow Europeans so far, not seen any Americans or Asians in the races I’ve done today.

Okay, doesn't bother me much so long as people race cleanly (which they seem to be doing so far).

Since Private Lobbies are peer-to-peer, I'm guessing they are global? Just thinking about the many community-run race series that'll show up on this forum.

I've got 40k+ mileage and nothing worthwhile to do with it. Even if they do open it up for purchase, it's not going to be a problem.

So, uh, I kinda made this video yesterday.. All day lol Partially inspired by discussions on a non-racing game forum. I've never made anything like this before. Casual/amateur editor. Learning as I go. I know if I wanted to make the camera angle stuff a bit cleaner I'd have to go and get separate raw videos for each in-game camera and then edit it the way I want it. As is, I just kinda randomly switched around the views while watching the replay and used it as a single video.

Feedback? Were you able to learn anything? Too complex? Too simple? Curious if people not typically into this online race stuff find this exciting or fun to watch. Was a fun project though.



Props to "tha3Dgoatkilla" and "Rafuxo10". Hopefully they don't mind being part of this.

He slammed a clean driver (Lambo), was "wiggling" in front of you and tried to bump you on the last corner (you're allowed to slow down - not brake - a bit to defend position at the apex in real racing). He should have let the Lambo pass him after that stupid mistake. I wouldn't give him props for that. Also, he probably got a red SR at the end.

Kyoto is a welcoming place. With the background music off__in the cut scenes before enter the race__ we feel the Zen atmosphere. (Perfect for electric cars, XD).

Fair enough. I also had similar thoughts while putting it together. I guess what evens out my feelings on it is I know stuff like the brake zone thing happens to me, even if I miss my brake point by a fraction, and compared to some of the other driving I see, I felt this was pretty good. It looked like a genuine accident, where as I see other drivers who appear more malicious.

It really sucks for the Lambo driver though and it would make sense to let that person pass you. But that pretty much takes you out of the the top group which is where people obviously want to be in these games. It's all or nothing. I imagine a lot of people want to be in the top or whats the point. I'm seeing more and more drivers who just quit the session if something like that happens.

Now, I had another really good race earlier today, last lap ended up chasing a GTR again. He entered the turn at the bottom of the hill too fast, went wide, I cut down low and would've at least put myself side by side if not made the pass, but then his car came down and basically pit maneuvered me into the wall and the grid went by. He did slow up and let me by, I finished in 6th I think, and he apologized at the end. It sucks, but no big deal. I checked the replay afterwards and his rear tire clipped the edge which spun him down into me. So far, there aren't any real rewards for winning so whatever.

If this stuff happens in these serious, one time races.. Wow there is going to be some internet drama.

Yes but that is because the AI pair of BMW M6 GT3 cars is always a significant amount faster than all the other AI. They need to rebalance those BMWs and then it’s fine I guess.

I’m also avoiding Gr. 3 for that reason, mainly using Gr.4 on pro in arcade single races but it’s maybe a bit on the easy side.

What is the time in the red box stands for on the left hand side at the time gaps list? For the first sight I thought it's the gap between you and the leader, but seems not since it's not the same when you in position 2.
