Hey guys, I have a question: Is it technically possible for PD to put motion blur effect on standard PS4, during gameplay?

As you can see, one of the major complaints of GT series is the lack of a sensing of speed. But with motion blur effect, this problem could be largely improved. In addition, motion blur effect can blur the scenery on both sides of the track, which is also a little trick to remove the players' attention from the low quality modeling on the sides of the track.

TBH, the motion blur effect of GTS on PS4 PRO looks really stunning, and it improves the gameplay experience quite a lot. However, I am not sure whether motion blur is a resource-consuming graphic option.

But I do hope PD can put similar motion blur effect during gameplay on standard PS4. Maybe not so good as PS4 Pro, but at least similar to it.

yes it is recource-consuming, they would do it if they could trust me, you are better off buying a Pro ;)

I believe that you don't read reviews. I believe that you think that reading the marketing info for a game somehow gives you enough information to judge whether it'll be good or not. You're wrong, as we can see with stuff like pCARS2 where you're frustrated by simple performance issues that were common knowledge basically as soon as it released. The smart thing would have been to wait for a patch, and maybe you'd catch a discount while you were waiting.

I believe that you don't really understand what having limited funds is. There's a difference between only having a few hundred dollars a year to spend on gaming because you're a teenager with a part time job, and having to try and find some money for gaming around paying for food and rent. If you really had limited funds, spending 30 to 60 minutes researching a $60 purchase wouldn't be a question; it would be mandatory. That you can buy games without really bothering to see whether you'd like them or there's any game breaking bugs first means that you're not really limited.

You can put as much thought into a purchase as you like, but if that thought is based on faulty information then it was a waste of time. You might as well be YOLO buying if you're trusting the publishers to be honest with you about the pros and cons of their games. It's their job to make them sound desirable, so it's no wonder you end up with these games that sound amazing but play somewhat differently.

You may think that missing out on these hyped marvels of gaming is stupid. I think missing out on other games that I could have spent that money on and enjoyed more is stupid. I don't trust Polyphony, Turn 10 and SMS to tell me the truth about their games. They show only the best, because that's what's in their interest.

I thought FM7 looked awesome. If I'd have bought FM7 sight unseen, I'd now be stuck $100 poorer with a game that doesn't run properly on my computer, is buggy as all get out and full of loot boxes. Instead I saved that money and put it into pCARS2 after reading about it's performance and trying it for myself. I could afford only one or the other, and if I'd simply YOLO purchased FM7 that would have been the wrong call. I'm 5 hours into pCARS 2 after buying it this weekend and it's been incredible (again, on PC, consoles have issues).

You don't have to read reviews if you don't want to. You're not buying blind, but you're intentionally buying with only information that leads you to the decision that you want to make. You don't want to hear information that would make you consider not buying GTS, or pCARS, or NFS, so you don't go looking for it. And that's fine, but at least you could be honest with yourself in that you're buying just because you want to and not because you're a savvy consumer.
Ok, I understand now. Yet there's no reason to push the case soo hard. So what if I don't read reviews... Don't have to attack me because I say otherwise mate.

Also, I got my first win in Sport Mode today! Not that there was much competition but anyway... Was driving the BMW Z4 GT3 - not bad but the Mercedes AMG GT3 feels much more composed; I gather that's due to the different wheelbase length. Legit, there was only 9 other cars on track. Clearly more people play at night!

Aaah...... it's those little things.... :)

I already completely forgot this but it happened in GT5 and GT6 as well, you still get a free car for your birthday. :)

My Birthday was yesterday and I didn't get anything.

Is there a pilot in the plane? No interview with Kaz about the future of GTSport. No new article on the official GT website about the future updates. Do they know that they launched a racing game without a weather feature in 2017?

I dont have the game yet ( I gonna get this week ) but I can see on YouTube videos, that the cars moving on the tracks like on smooth ice. Maybe i’m wrong...but this is very unnatural, not a real driving simulator. This is a sterile something. Motorsport not steril at all. Motorsport is very dinamic. GT sport is not. In my opinion. I play Forza 7 and pCars 2 too. They have both dinamic driving experience.

Weather system is not really a problem. The problem is there is no official information about what will come in the future, except so far: oversteer sensitivity, SVG uploader (in the future but when?) and other bug fixed mentioned in the news section in-game.

Patient, patient, patient.
When I bought the game I knew I get unfinished thing, so...

Unfortunately it is a bit like Bambi on ice,but slow in fast out should do the trick.
The biggest issue you will have is idiot on-liners just ramming you, Despite them getting pens it ruins your race

So last night my DR was about at A and the progress meter was about a quarter way through. Then I won about 8-10 straight races, and the meter is still in the same place?

I'm obviously missing something, can someone tell me where a progress meter is for DR and/or SR? I've only noticed the popups during races with green or orange and the rating in the results screen.

Stats screen, from top-left menu. Shows a bar for DR, which is sometimes delayed in updating. Still only the letter for SR.

Well one misson is on rain track and there is one rally stage at night. So some weather and day night for testing i think. And later we should get more

Clearly they made design decisions to focus on other things, it was probably based upon all the information they've been collecting since GT5 on how many people choose to race with weather.

They have to fix that sterility to dinamic movement on the track. That is NOT real driving simulator...

After having this for a week I will say that although I really enjoy the online racing aspect, I really find myself missing the career mode. Buying a junky old MX5 and racing the hubs off while slowly upgrading this part and that. But all that is lost, I have no reason to even buy cars really, every offline event provides for you and even the online races did until recently it seems.

Also, last week I was racing super fast people in big groups online and it was a battle to be even in the top 10. I left for vacation Thursday, came back Monday and now I'm in a group of 12 that I just walk all over. WTF? I won all but one race last night online, I gaped the field by no less than 6 seconds every race. I know I didn't miraculously get faster on vacation , what did PD do? Winning is fun and all but the races started to feel like time trials.

The opportunity to make a livery for a car is huge motivation for me, but that's just my take obviously.

Speaking of which, does GTS track your mode usage in any way? I'd love to know how I spend my time in the game... (Probably about 90% livery editor so far!).

I’m having difficulty getting gold on the mission challenge with the 919 at Interlagos. I’ve tried fuel map 6 but the AI catches up on the final lap and nudges me into a wall; likewise, fuel map 1 is no good either. After 4 continuous attempts I’ve had enough.

And on the subject of AI, the AI in this game is abysmal! Even more brain dead than GT5 and GT6 - at least the AI in those games showed respect while approaching or passing them. It makes the racing etiquette entirely redundant.

Just got my first victory. At the fourth overall race, first on Gr.3. Also got the second fastest lap, first one was on second race, with the Evos.

So, uh, I kinda made this video yesterday.. All day lol Partially inspired by discussions on a non-racing game forum. I've never made anything like this before. Casual/amateur editor. Learning as I go. I know if I wanted to make the camera angle stuff a bit cleaner I'd have to go and get separate raw videos for each in-game camera and then edit it the way I want it. As is, I just kinda randomly switched around the views while watching the replay and used it as a single video.

Feedback? Were you able to learn anything? Too complex? Too simple? Curious if people not typically into this online race stuff find this exciting or fun to watch. Was a fun project though.

Props to "tha3Dgoatkilla" and "Rafuxo10". Hopefully they don't mind being part of this.
