Just to be sure as I haven't signed a contract yet, do you sign up to drive for the same manufacturer in both Gr. 3 and Gr. 4?

Or can you be with one for Gr. 3 and another for Gr. 4?

Ive been normally doing 3-4 challenges each night and a few sport races. Content seems to be lasting a long time.
Im at B-B now and most of the time im in the top 3 on the grid and always near the front. People are normally fairly solid drivers and trying to be clean, but they make mistakes quite often with car position and racing lines.

How is it possible to do the blue moon bay race???? I want answers
Medium Rear, Soft Front, change to soft when you pit and only take enough fuel to finish. Catch the leader as fast as possible. When I did it I noticed I hadn't taken enough fuel and was going to run out before the end so I did some fuel saving and kept swapping position for 1st toward the end of the race. I ran out of fuel near the end forcing me to block before the finish line to ensure Gold. In hindsight I think some strategic fuel saving earlier in the race when chasing 1st might be a sound strategy so I think it is important to run a flawless race to get behind first as soon as possible and do a bit of fuel saving to make sure you don't need to take too much fuel but can still finish and you stay in touch with 1st waiting until late in the race to finally take the lead.

I think this was the toughest event I did. I actually gave up on it a few times and thought it was impossible until I realised I should try running mediums on the rear with softs on the front. I felt really stupid not trying that earlier because as soon as I tried it the car felt much better I wasn't losing time and I knew I wouldn't be spinning a lap before I intend to pit.

Two questions here:

Has anybody gotten dirt on one of their cars, and figured out a way to get rid of it? My 911 RSR looks like I took it off-roading and...that isn't neccissarily a lie...

And the ending movie, there's a second song that plays in it towards the end. What is the name of it?

Try taking it to an Arcade Time Trial, take it into a Pit Stop, let it do it's thing, exit pits then quit. Voila, clean car!

Cheers

Cleans the car in game, but the preview images for liveries and such still appear dirty. Might just be a bug. Still going to annoy me to death, though 👍

One more question:

Am I able to delete liveries out of "My Library"?

I knkw you can delete designs from the livery editor, but I have about 20 versions of 2 liveries for the 911 RSR...andthat number will only increase with time, I'm sure.

Dan
I'm getting some GTA Online flashbacks with all of these mass-disconnections from lobbies. :grumpy:
How bad is the GT Sport's Open lobbies compared to GT6 and GT5 ones? Because i remember struggling to join open lobbies in GT6, let alome getting disconnected couple minutes later.

Nope, you are forced to pick both of the group from the same manufacturer.

Sometimes when exiting a corner I hit throttle fully but the throttle bar says I'm pushing like %80 throttle not full. Playing with ds4 and gas is R2. If I see the throttle bar is not full, I quickly let r2 and push it again and it shows full. Does anybody experience this? It happens rarely but I wonder if my r2 trigger is broken or something.

Sooo...awesome game, I preordered after playing all the other GTs, lucky enough to play the demo too, though only one night of it!

Other than git gud with nice smooth lines, which is the real answer, how do I advance my DR?

I'm currently DR D and SR B - my SR finally improved a bit by trying a few N races instead of Gr3 races all the time, the cleaner racers in SR B are much nicer, though still get a a cowboy or 2 in most races. I did 100% driving school, though not all gold (or even silver) yet. I finished Stage 7 challenges last night, getting gold on all those will last ages for me!

I assume advancing is based on finishing with a better time than other people with a similar/ better rating than you. Is this correct? I read somewhere here that someone thought that it was based on how many you places you beat your qualifying place by, but wouldn't this be able to be gamed by posting a slow qualifying time?

Which brings me to my next question, how does matching work? Why do there seem to be a few big outliers at the start and end of races? I do seem to be getting more consistant DR and SR matches (all racers DR D and SR B like me) than previously, but the pole and last qualifying times seem far removed from the pack, seconds away?

How does the negated increase in DR work? Is it just to limit your DR rating to that of your SR rating, or does your DR truly not increase if your SR goes down that race? I have been trying to be very clean, to the point of losing a place or two to stay out of the way of punters to get a good SR, though lost what would have been my first pole position on the last corner to someone who shoved me out of the way into the wall, was speechless! I didn't protect my position i guess, my bad, still felt gutted.

Is ghosting just about server ambiguity of car position/ collisions, or is it a system that ghosts a car once they incur a penalty, so that other cars don't suffer an unrelated/ undeserved penalty?

I have heard this as an issue in Need for Speed Forums, presenting as cars not holding top speed. Cheap way out is reassign accelerator, otherwise replace your DS4. . .

No one really has the set formula for how it is calculated, but from discussions on here and personal experiences it is likely a combination of Qualifying Positions, Lap Times and Race Results in relation to other people of the same rank.
When I was a C:B racer I was racing other C's and getting pole, FL & winning most. Then I had a race where I was against all B:Bs. I started third, had a good race and won that race and then I was upgraded to B:B.

This game and their Vision GT Cars. I did some Circuit Experience, and all my prize cars were VGT cars. Even my Daily Workout car today was a VGT Car. In one of them there was a La LaFerrari, and in another a TS030, that I would have rather have, lol.

In fairness, whilst I can't speak for others PD's servers have been sound for me. The only blip was yesterday for about an hour and that was PSN going down. Otherwise the servers have been running fine here, mind I haven't been on sport mode or online in lobbies much, been enjoying things "offline".

Though for now the one main gripe is having to be online to save your game. If your connection is relatively solid like mine then it's fine, but for others it's much more difficult, and ultimately is a bit of a pain. But hey-ho I guess, as otherwise the servers for GTS seem far more solid compared to GT6, which is how it's supposed to be I guess .
Yeah I haven't been having any issues either.

Had two races in Sport Mode last night and I learnt two things: The Porsche 911 Group 3 is bloody fast and the Nissan GTR Group 4 is the best in class. One guy set a 1:58 in a Porsche 911 Group 3 on Nurburgring GP, a full 5 seconds faster than my qualifying time in the AMG GT Group 3. He was never challenged - curiously, his name was MrVendelism... (Hmmm, that sounds familiar doesn't it?) In both the races I did, the leading cars were VERY fast. I gather that's because my DR and SR grade is B. I almost came third on the Nurburgring GP track - I made a pass at the second last corner but ran very wide on the last corner, and the two drivers I was battling with basically pushed me out of the way and I slipped back to 5th. The whole race was very tense, it felt like a real race. It seems that whenever I play Sport Mode, I have some epic moments.

Think "Human Drama"

The 4C is pretty good as well. My qualy time with it is 1:58.3 should get down to 57 with more practice. This seems to be normal pace at B/A DR.

I got put in a race with a top 10 player named derek. I think he qualied with a 1:55.6. Now thats really fast.

Anyone made ugly photos of game when you go to photo mode, focus moment and then take photo with share button instead of game photo mode.?
Then look how ugly everything looks.

Well in stop mode in replay it doesnt look so good .isnt it? So before you take picture you see not so good picture. Then photo mode make all pretty.
My point is other games dont have photo mode and you take screenshots just with share button. And they look good.
I love game non less just it looks like game no use AA at all.

Diffrent game diffrent tech. And most game are not that nice when taking in game screens at rondom moments. Importent of in game is that it looks awsome in motion ;)

Ok, with new setting findings (tnx to Praiano videos) I won both races I ran this morning. One is the Gr.4 and the other the Gr.3. Also rised to D the skill and A the sportsmanship.
ATM I have a total of:
- 2 victories on Gr.3
- 1 victory on Gr.4
- 1 2nd place on N300
- 1 3rd place on Gr.4
- 1 4th place on Gr.4
Yes, I know, played very few times on Sport Mode. It's because I wished first to get most of the "offline" campaign along with not being able to play much because of work.
