I'm very seriously considering getting myself a wheel again. How does Gran Turismo Sport handle degrees of rotation between cars? I'm aware that other modern racing sims like PCARS and Assetto Corsa implement a "soft lock" that is specific to the car you're driving. Does GT Sport do anything like this?

People in GR3 sport mode races, you need to let better drivers over take you. Stop trying to block them and crash them off the course. Can't believe one player doing this got away with no penalties and ended up in second place. I fought him for second place and he blocked me on the straights and when I finally got on the inside decided to push me off the track. Not to mention this guy was cutting corners on the Nurburgring GP, especially last chicane before finish line. Then I had to fight for third place against another driver whom I caught up to after two laps, and the whole 8th and 9th lap he kept trying to block me on the straights and every corner. I passed him and what do you know, didn't bother braking and punted me off the track intentionally. Thankfully the system recognized this and gave him a big penalty, so even though he was in front of me, I still got my third place at the end of the race as the penalty deduced six seconds from his overall time.

The guy in second place was also brake checking me trying to slow me down so I don't crash into him and affect my SR rating or to get my flying off the track to avoid collision. He was definitely aware of my presence and took a very dirty route.

Now that my safety rating is S and my driving rating is B, Im kind of bored of sport mode.

My suggestion is for PD to add a points system for every round of of Sport races, with driver scoring groups based on their DR rating.

12 pts for finishing a race first, 11 for second, etc. 3 pts for every position you gained by the end of the race. 2 pts for leading the most laps. 4 pts if you run a completely clean race. 2pts for setting fast lap. etc etc

I think we need a system like this, because at the moment theres not much reason for me to continue running sport races. Once you've done all the current races 4-5 times theres really no drive to keep going. This points system encourages you to keep racing to try and climb the leaderboard.
Good idea, I too can get bored sometimes as there's no motive to keep going. So a points system would be great except it would still favor people that had more time to compete in more races. If I only have time to race 3 races in a week and finish 1st every time it would still put me behind a 13 year old who's done 50 in the same week but is more inconsistent in his/her finishing results. I like your idea though.

Some peole just want to on purpose drive you off the road it's not funny anymore
there should be an option to ban them from sports racing

I don't think anyone should be banned, they should just suffer in their SR rating along with get a penalty. The system has been working really well compared to other games. Like this instance where I overtook the guy to get into third place, then I was on the straight ahead of him approaching a very tight corner, he was not braking and I could see from my reverse camera but couldn't avoid. He deliberately rammed me off and the system recognized that so even though I finished 4th, the overall computing put me ahead of him so I got the third place finish.

The problem though is those clever people who trick the system by making it appear more like a collision when really they know what they are doing and trying to push you off the track not from behind but from your side. Like the guy that got second place finish. He was blocking me desperately for a whole lap and when I made my move he refused to allow out and pushed me off the track from the side. This players need to relax and just let a guy overtake if the momentum is with him.

From the M6 bio: "Despite being in the same class, the M6 GT3 is significantly larger than the Z4 GT3, measuring about 16.4 ft in length and more than 6.5 ft wide. Its wheelbase is not only longer than the Z4 GT3, but it's also 1.9 inches longer than the production model. This allows the M6 GT3 to be more stable at high speed and through corners than its predecessor."

Z4 GT3: 6.3 Stability
M6 GT3: 6.2 Stability

:dunce:

Are you looking at the stability without touching it? Because you've had different tires on either of them the stability will be different

I guess i need to do more races, so ican bump my SR so i don't have to race with guys like that anymore

I'm really disappointed with the lack of news regarding DLC for GT Sport thus far. You see the likes of Forza, Assetto and Project Cars getting good DLC yet my favourite Racing Sim has barely had anything worth of note so far bar the new Zagato Vision GT.

I've got no interest in the VGTs either.

I would guess that PD are busy with a few bug fixes/server stability, bring the rest of the features online (SVG upload for example) and preparing for the championships to start in a couple of weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if first DLC is Q1 2018.

Or maybe no. What about letting people who can't play 12 hours a day a chance to win ? Are we talking about driving skills or training? Do your own training on your side if you want.

Yesterday I qualified 10th on Nurburgring after just 2 laps of qualification. I won the race with passing the 1st in the last lap and my best lap was 2second under my qualification time. That's how I like GTS.

I can't see how a public schedule for the next days affects the way you're enjoying the game in any way.
I suggested this after reading @Coiler's message who, it seems, can't play everyday, let alone 12h a day. Currently it is already benefiting those who can play anytime any day.

Or you just happened to be online when there were enough drivers of your exact rating to fill a single lobby.

I'd concur with @Superhoop82. After a lot of initial anguish and virtual pain I find the matching is very balanced. Every now and again I see the odd maverick with a SR which appears to be out of line with his behaviour but overall I certainly see a far higher number of respectful drivers.

What's your own experience Johnny?

I'd like to see a podium at the end of the race and also on the achievements list. I have 53 races and 15 wins but I think 90% of the races I finished on the podium. Someone who finishes 2nd or 3rd gets the same "recognition" at the moment as the last person on the grid.

Just today, I had cracking races against other people where we finished the 10 laps around Nurb separated by less than 0.3sec or 1sec (3 cars). But only the winner gets to track that on the achievements, the others, who were "right there" are relegated to oblivion. :D

I think it would a) make people take less risks to get the win and screw the guys who are in first place on the last corner and b) give those who race a bit back the chance to fight for a podium finish, which is always easier to get than a win.

I'm done with campaign after getting gold on everything at least until they add some more events so that really only leaves Sport mode. I'm enjoying it and now that I'm at B B, the vast majority of races are clean, you get the odd idiot like the guy who was in first and moved across the full width of the track and smashing into the side of my car coming upto the last corner of a Nurburgring race to ensure I wouldn't overtake them :irked:. However, I'm not sure the enjoyment is going to last, it's all too limited, I'm used to so many more options in the online racing I do in other titles and the mainly short races are over too quickly with not enough going on to keep your attention.

Is it official if PD had any help with the BoP for the upcoming Nations and Manufacturers Cups?

I'm wondering if one or several professional drivers helped to develop the final numbers and settings that are now implemented in the game.

I only ask because these are such huge events and quite a bit is at stake. Tens of thousands of players will likely participate and PD must have felt pretty satisfied presenting it as they have.

I mean this is no BoP which any old forum club with sixteen members have developed and uses, this is big time.

I've seen people complaining about the GT-R being too good and some other issues.

So I'm wondering who put this BoP together. It's an interesting subject. I have neither constructive nor negative criticism to give, I'm just curious either way.

The GT-R is good at Dragon Trail but last week the 4C and the Cayman were the fastest cars. If you go to the Nations Cup qualifier you'll see that everyone is picking the 4C. Some cars will be the best on some tracks and the worse on others. I think most of them are good enough on all of them.

The GT-R is not as nimble as the 4C for example, but it's easier to control. Back in the demo, the top1 time for the Gr.4 race around Lake Maggiore was from someone with a Mazda Atenza.

My 2nd T-GT Finally arrives tomorrow with My PlaySeat Challenge. I can finally play GT Sport the way It was intended! Rejoice! Oh also It's iPhone X Pre Order Day :D :gtpflag:

So last night I finished stage 7 challenges and did some of stage 8.

It said it saved and I went to bed.

Turns out, it didn’t save and now I’ve lost all that progress!!!

BRILLIANT :mad::banghead:🤬

Extra bonus, my garage won’t populate properly

Some tracks are locked until you reach lvl.20 ... so how do I reach lvl.20 the quickest?
Just play through campaign, and don't forget to take your reward sort of 'ingame challenge' or trophies
I,m at 33% of license, 0% on the remaining and have access to Nurburgring

If it makes you feel at all better, know that you'll receive the same prize car when you re-beat stage 7.

I lost my progress from stage 3 through 8 during the review period. I won all the same cars, in the same order, when I redid them.

Haha unfortunately I won a bunch of VGT cars

Can anyone tell me what the red number next to the number that shows the gear is? Its not recommended gear as it does not show all the time and I have seen it show 2 when speeding over 200kph in a gr 4 car.
