Got my GT Sport yesterday and really enjoyed GR4 and GR3. Well will be good if

- to know my DR rating ( exact number like in iRacing version of DR, iRating 2500 or something )
- Daily race should grant championship points and off course top split will be granted higher Championship Points ( make it league style, 12 weeks with 12 different track rotation )
- Race Results ( DR increase / decrease , SR increase / decrease , fastest lap time, average time , champ points )

- to know my DR rating ( exact number like in iRacing version of DR, iRating 2500 or something )
If they follow iRacing hopefully they know why this is a bad idea. It has been suggested a number of times that iRating should be hidden. A global rank on the other hand would be cool and could potentially have the reverse effect of revealed rating.

The thing that makes GT Sport so good is how it differs from iRacing, trying to turn it into iRacing would be a backwards step.

What tyres are you using? If you run with hard tyres, so you only need to refuel at the pitstops, these endurance events are easily achievable with stock cars.
I was running RH. I must've gotten mismatched hard in the event, because by the time I make my first pit on lap 7/8/9 I'm like 20 seconds behind first place.

Yes a series of short, random races with no purpose or end goal is always preferable to something optional that is a little more organized with an end goal. Note, it can now be said that having organized, online championships in GTSport has now been mentioned a number of times.

I find it ridiculous to see how GTS, apparently a game with focus on competitive racing, offers less variety and content in sports mode than even the predecessor GT6 had in terms of online events.
In addition, the balance of performance is absolutely terrible in its current state. Only the Gr. 3 cars are at least somewhat balanced, but mostly because of their real life counterparts, except for the fictional ones.

Another Day... Another T3PGT Failure.

My 2nd Set of Pedals that I got with My 2nd T-GT have gone faulty. Lost the will the live. So frustrating I had one amazing evening on GT Sport & Then Booted It up today and once again the Brake Pedal isn't being detected & The Brake Pedal itself is now clicking when It's pressed which isn't right.

On the Phone to AO.com they tried to push me to go through the Manufacturer directly but I was having none of it, Agent was very helpful but Thrustmaster have completed ruined my confidence in them after 2 Failures I'm going to have to Re-Think my idea's on what I'm going to do now.

Fanatec csl elite? Get full refund on your TGT

Anyway, after my whine earlier this morning (CET), I finally got 2 fairplay races where I finished 4th and 2nd with my 4C Gr.4, battling against the GT-R Gr.4 users. Sportsmanship again S, Driver almost to upgrade to B.
I'm now at work, later gonna upload both videos of qualify and race.

Yup AO.com have happily agreed. Currently over £1000 out of pocket waiting for Refunds from both Amazon. So won't be able to order another wheel till I get my money back from at least one of them. What a nightmare.

Sucks that you've had 2 fail on you. I think the only comparable one for drive is the fanatec csl but fanatec isn't very well supported from what I remember. I'm glad I didn't have the to money buy one now, was seriously considering the TGT for when I could afford. Probably not going to bother now. Will probably get a G29 if it appears in a black Friday sale hopefully it goes down to like £150.

Hopefully your refunds come through quickly.

If they sold the T-GT as a Servo alone with the Rim like the TS-PC Racer at £500 RRP I would snap their hands off them as the Servo has been Solid. No problems at all Updated It to the latest Firmware and has been perfect. But the T3PGT Pedals I was meaning to simply sell on when My T3PA Pro's would turn up. But I can't sell faulty pedals to someone on eBay. It's Just poor all round. I was looking forward to the wheel since they announced It but I have to say the most reliable wheel I have ever had from Thrustmaster was the T500RS and still is.

I've been able to narrow it down to 7 possible manufacturers that I could sign a contract for in the Manufacturer Series.

I have always had a preference for cars with FR drivetrains and NA aspirations, so I browsed through the 25 manufacturers to see which ones had FR & NA on both of their Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars.

Only seven of them do, Aston Martin, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Hyundai, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz.

Now for the difficult task of choosing the right one for me.

I always find myself analysing and making lists of pros and cons and this and that. More so than actually driving and testing. I'm a number cruncher you could say.

Any thoughts on these seven manufacturers and the fourteen cars they offer for this series?

Had my first win today!

Sad to see that tactics like this are still present in SR S races. From 2:32 onwards the driver in first place does his best to stop me from overtaking by weaving and tackling. Luckily in the last corner his car ghosts and he isn't able to pin me to the wall.

I too made a mistake at 1:46. Took too wide a line and crashed into the side of the car in front and gained a place.

Just finished a gr.3 race around the ring with a person like this. Slower than me but weaving every time I try to pass then when I do get ahead he divebombs me out of the way. Eventually all that dirty driving led to his own demise late in the race and I ended up winning, but it's still frustrating to race against people like that.

If your PSN ID is the same as your avatar, I think I was in that race! Saw a bit of the action unfolded toward the back :P

Alex from FAILRACE recently uploaded this video:

I haven't seen it yet but i think it's gonna be an interesting opinion from him.

What's with the "if you are not first, you are last" set up in the sport mode races, why isn't there a podium? I get that winning is always what you have to strive for but in some races I've had with the aliens finishing a cool 20+ sec ahead of P2. While not taking anything away from them, it just feels like P2, and P3 have nothing going for them despite finishing top 3!

...TBH, I hoped at least for some timeline of DLC release or something similar... I mean, there are like 48 cars and variations of those cars (hands down for some real GT3/4 and LMP cars) but VGT, I don't need those... also tracks, common, gotta be more in there... Hope we get some heads up soon...

Damn.. They should put that purchased sign on those special cars in mileage exchange. Just los 2500 after i thought i canceled the purchase and bought a second Vette. Cant even be sold..

I made a status about this the other day but I'm frankly amazed that PD didn't decide to add an overall racing history section to your profile. When you base most of the game's long-term appeal on online racing but don't provide many stats at all on the actual participation - it seems pretty poor.

I'm keeping a Google Docs spreadsheet with my results but this should really be tracked in-game, alongside a lot of other stuff.

Driveclub was particularly fantastic for this type of thing.

Some very clean racing on Sports Gr4

THIS IS GRAN TURISMO SPORT

My first race with Class A drivers and it was AMAZING. And was no slow race either - FL around 1:44 even though EVERYONE was fighting for positions. Fastest guys with 1:42 qualifyings. I did try my best to avoid contact. First the duel with the GT86 and then the threesome with the other GT-Rs.. Didnt gain too many positions at the end but was still ecstatic after the race. I have never experienced quite anything like this before, and it just gets better as one goes up in ranks.

There's the Iso-Zagato Vision GT, but that's it right now.

...it is another VGT, and once again, I really don't care about those cars.

Where is, for example, prototype that went into production, like Miura that was featured in GT5/6?

You know this game is good when you can pick differences in each car's handling. I've driven the Mercedes AMG GT3, BMW Z4 GT3 and the 911 RSR, and each has their strengths. The BMW has a great turn-in and great agility but lacks a bit finesse in the mid corner - not hugely stable should we say. The Porsche has great mid-corner and exit but isn't the greatest with initial turn in, yet it's the best all-rounder. The Mercedes is very stable due to it's longer wheelbase but isn't as agile as either the Porsche or the BMW. Especially on Nurburgring GP. However, it is very good through the fast sections of the track. Also, the BMW Z4 has good straight line speed - I easily pulled away on the straights from a Lexus RCF GT3 in yesterday's race. The BMW is my most successful car, winning both races it has entered.
