Well, after doing the three Norther Isle challenges, i think i've fallen in love with the Gr. B Lancer.

Almost did gold on all three in one try(had to try some settings on the first one i did.) Can't wait for the decal uploader to start working so i can make a livery for it.

I'm very seriously considering getting myself a wheel again. How does Gran Turismo Sport handle degrees of rotation between cars? I'm aware that other modern racing sims like PCARS and Assetto Corsa implement a "soft lock" that is specific to the car you're driving. Does GT Sport do anything like this?
I notice nobody's replied to your question yet, mate.

I asked a very-similar one about how the G29 is adjusted (yet to buy it) in another thread a week ago, and have wondered for years (driving my original Driving Force™ wheel still) if one can simply select an option to adjust automatically to any car when using a newer wheel.

I also asked if one could change the rotation level in-race using the G29 dial or something.

I too haven't received a response yet, and have spent hours researching this on the web as I didn't want to bother the kind folks here, but, like you, I await some tasty info. Hopefully we'll both have better luck in this thread...

Still, it's understandable that we're hankering to know what tracks lie in wait, starting with that first one, Flaren...

My guess is that it's already been included and only needs to be unlocked.

There's definitely opportunities to milk penalties to the detriment of your online opponents. For instance, if you're outside someone else and you turn in on them, and then that causes you to run wide off the track, then from what I've experienced, the person you turned in on will get penalised.

So after time trial with hellcat i went into replay and there is no menu in replay . Noting. Triangle still zooms view but notin else works. Couldnt get out of replay .

There is a menu, just hidden.
Try clicking left or right on the D-Pad.

I was stuck in photo mode yesterday. Had to restart the game.

Guys, I would prefer to things getting fixed first, instead of giving priority to DLCs.

A good example would be making every car featured in the game as rental cars in arcade mode. Polyphony should do that so playing arcade mode will be fun. The ability to use cars from your garage can stay (given the benefit of upgrades from Mileage points and custom liveries), but they better make sure that all the cars in the game can be used as opposed to only eight rental cars. Future DLC cars (once purchased and installed) should also be added directly to arcade mode so everyone can drive it right away before buying it in-game. Obviously we know the limitations to these rental cars- we can't use custom liveries and tuning cannot be done.

The next thing is to make sure that they should allow functions such as Home, Livery Editor, Mileage Exchange "My Library", the campaign mode, Brand Central and Scapes mode (as well as saving) to be accessed even when offline.

I think I found the answer a few days ago. Check out this thread:

It appears that GT Sport defaults to 900 degree on every car even if you manually adjust it on the wheel itself. There is an exception to this, but it's extremely limiting (discussed in the thread above). No soft-lock and no way to manually adjust DoR is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I bought a T150 this weekend as a test (won't keep it though, and have since bought a CSL Elite) and can confirm the behavior described in that thread. But it sure does appear to me that every single car has 900 DoR of rotation and there's very little that you can easily do. What's still not clear to me though is if that is intended behavior or a bug.

I'll say this though, I tried Project CARS 2 with the wheel this weekend as well and it was absolutely glorious. Implements true soft-lock between cars and the FFB is so much more responsive, even with virtually no tweaking. There's tons of great FFB info out there for just about every wheel which will make it even better. Don't get me wrong, I still love GT Sport, but it may be relegated to just a controller for me.

You know this game is good when you can pick differences in each car's handling. I've driven the Mercedes AMG GT3, BMW Z4 GT3 and the 911 RSR, and each has their strengths. The BMW has a great turn-in and great agility but lacks a bit finesse in the mid corner - not hugely stable should we say. The Porsche has great mid-corner and exit but isn't the greatest with initial turn in, yet it's the best all-rounder. The Mercedes is very stable due to it's longer wheelbase but isn't as agile as either the Porsche or the BMW. Especially on Nurburgring GP. However, it is very good through the fast sections of the track. Also, the BMW Z4 has good straight line speed - I easily pulled away on the straights from a Lexus RCF GT3 in yesterday's race. The BMW is my most successful car, winning both races it has entered.
This is the first post I've heard someone say this. Up until now, all I've heard was how all the cars feel the same.

Hi,

has something changed in the BOP for the manufacturers cup? I signed a contract with Nissan and did a few laps at Suzuka with the GT-R, which leads to a 2:13,9 with not much effort.

Today I tried again and now I am 2 seconds off that laptime.

What has happened?

D.

just got my 3rd yellow Toyota S-FR ...
And the last day I did an arcade 24h race sharing the pad with my cousin . And at the end race , juste after all the credits , mile , xp etc... the game crashed 🤬:yuck:
Will definitely let the game now , waiting for at least the 27 or 28 first correcting patch :nervous:

I don't think you can change the rotation level via the dial. I have the G29 and as far I can see, the only things you can change with the dial are the brake balance and traction control. As for whether or not the wheel adjust automatically to any car, I would think it does but then again, it's not something I've paid attention to as I just pick a car and I go race!

Omg.... i wish people didn't start with a dr of B. The majority of the sport races i have been in have been great, had some really intense and competitive races. Which is exactly what i hoped for, but early yesterdy and today the quality of the racers has been notably lower. Anyone else notice this

Maybe not many people signed up. Just know your peak timezone. On my area 6PM to 10PM local time will be peak and many people signed up. And always the japanese will dominating 80% of the field

Thank you for responding, mate. I'm used to the 180º of my original Driving Force™, so this issue has really got me thinking. It won't be as simple as just "pick a car and go race", 'cause there's a helluva difference between 180 and 900º. I love the quick-correction ability of 180º...

Thank you so, so much Stigg. I just posted in that thread, pleading with PD to fix this, and thanking you again along with Spoolpigeon for the info.

I was about to pull the trigger; been budgeting for this for months, but until the DoR thing is sorted, there'd be absolutely no point in doing this, given that I'm totally used to the F1-style "response", if you could call it that on my loose old wheel, 180º gives me.

As I said in the other thread, the second PD sorts this out, I'll be all-in with a PS4, GTS, G29, headset and online subscription, but not one second before.

Thank you so much again, mate. You've saved my year from slipping from disastrous to, well, something even-worse.

@Monkey Man Now that you mention that, the first wheel I've had was the G27 and then went to the G29 for the PS4. They are both 900 so I've never used a 180 before. Probably why I never paid attention to it :P

But yeah, good point!

I've been able to narrow it down to 7 possible manufacturers that I could sign a contract for in the Manufacturer Series.
I have always had a preference for cars with FR drivetrains and NA aspirations, so I browsed through the 25 manufacturers to see which ones had FR & NA on both of their Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars.
Only seven of them do, Aston Martin, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Hyundai, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz.
Now for the difficult task of choosing the right one for me.
I always find myself analysing and making lists of pros and cons and this and that. More so than actually driving and testing. I'm a number cruncher you could say.
Any thoughts on these seven manufacturers and the fourteen cars they offer for this series?
I couldn't decide so I let fate make the decision for me. I'm fairly pleased with the result. :dopey:

In the older GT's I thought they did, I have not thought that in GT Sport. I'm guessing the people who say all cars feel the same in GT Sport use really bad FFB settings.

I actually thought cars in GT6 felt different(i use a controller). The cars felt different to each other, in terms of steering. Some would drag to the left or right, some were sensitive, some were stiff, some felt suction-cupped to the ground(RE Ameniya FD3S) and so on.

Even though I use a controller, I can still feel slight nuances in the way each car handles.
