For this sort of game you want to be dealing with real-life, laser scanned FIA certified tracks.

My picks at a minimum
Spa
'Ring
Mt Panorama
RB Ring
Silverstone
Brands Hatch (incl Rally-X)
Indy
Suzuka
LeMans
Tsukuba

Hopeful for something extra like Road America
Pikes Peak (Sealed and Gravel versions)

Isle of Man would be doubtful to me due to it being a TT course, and they might keep that one up their sleeves for GT7 Proper.
Don't forget Circuit of the Americas!

If memory serves me correct, four of those are already there ;)

Meh, never really been a fan.
I'm not inspired by many of the modern F1 circuits
COTA to me is a couple of big straights, a hairpin or two and some wiggly bits in the middle.
the track surface itself is typical F1, just big and flat

With all those elevation changes, I would say its far from flat.

I assume he means it's very smooth, which I'd agree with. That first turn is something else, as it's really hard to nail the apex properly, but otherwise, the track feels like another Yas Marina: a huge straight on the back half, and a bunch of characterless corners connecting it and the starting line. There's a nice high speed kink before the back straight, and an interesting triple-apex right-hander on the backhalf, but most of the turns themselves are devoid of major elevation changes.

I think it's safe to say there's no news coming in March. GT Academy starts next month in Egypt, though...

Driveclub has kinda spoiled me in terms of track choice.

City circuit-> Country Road Circuit -> Country Road point to Point -> Full on Race Circuit.

If this was a perfect world I'd ask GT to have the same.

I'd be surprised with no Paul Ricard on the list. I'm still upset Valencia wasn't in GT6 but, we'll see what's what eventually.

I don't see why they couldn't include fictional and non-FIA tracks, they just wouldn't be included in the FIA competitions part of the game.

I wonder if GTSport was on the roadmap to gauge the feedback of the new generation of players for GT7? Or was it like a large beta to test the engine and the Public feedback, or funding etc! Like a prologue, but they knew the stigma another Prologue would bring? In fairness (there may be exceptions of course) the general consensus is nobody asked for GTSport? It has been near 3 and a half years so I'm sure Sony were getting a little anxious for some progress! Or is Kaz seeing the future of GT as shifting to a officially racing focused genre! I personally hope not! The charm of GT for me was it could be what I wanted it to be, a celebration of an eclectic selection of cars on different surfaces and regions! Official racing titles are already out there on all platforms, it would be great if we had a Gran Turismo 4 updated with all the bells and whistles, but maybe People want something new? PD is an odd company, I wonder do they take into account of what is said here?

Yep, me too. Sadly, I bought a PS4 early this gen, because I figured a GT game would be quicker this time. How foolish.

Well, at least we have a well-supported Driveclub.

Oh, wait...

Same here. I figured a year/two years tops before a GT game came out on PS4... Boy was I wrong!

Need For Speed is keeping me occupied right now :) Very reminiscent of the Underground series for me.

Ah, nice one, I bought that one on sale, and couldn't get over how bad the cutscenes were. Enjoyed writing JON IS ACE in huge white letters across the car though haha.

I'm hoping Dirt Rally will entertain me til E3

Haha yea the cut scenes are pretty terrible, but the gameplay is fun for me at least...

and man E3 can't come soon enough. There is sure to be some GT news then whether we like the news they bring or not...

Well I hate to go there again but next month is still the deadline for the beta, to me. If it is going to come, they should hopefully start talking about it the first week. If we get to the middle of April and still nothing I think it'll be safe to say it's not coming in early 2016.

I do agree. They initially said first quarter, so by all rights they have until April 30th, but it is not looking very optimistic at this point.

I agree, but my personal deadline :nervous: was end of March, because you need a bit of turnaround from new announce to launch, surely...?

Agreed as well unless they do an announce and drop simultaneously??

Referring to the Beta and not the official game of course.

You love going there again! In no real world would early 2016 apply now. I exclude PlayStation Blog's stated "Spring" because they aren't the official Gran Turismo site.

The end! (though we might get a teaser trailer tomorrow just before the quarter ends as a carrot)

Kind of like a Driveclub Bikes scenario?

PD would get a lot of props for that, in my eyes...

Yea I suppose like that. Fallout did the same thing with their Android/iOS game and the downloads went through the roof. It could turn out good or bad for PD as I can see both the benefits and drawbacks of such a method

Well since it's a beta I think they can still announce it in the first week, promote it for the next two weeks and then launch it in the final week.

I definitely have to ask GT's fb page about April, like I did with Feb and March!
I asked him the other day, this is only his response to me. I'm not sure what he means by that, I hope there's gonna be news about the beta next month. :)
