It's settled, then. All F1 teams should turn up to Melbourne with a couple of combies ...

I've really enjoyed race a, today. Got a good qualifying time early on, so picked up another pole position; then played bumper cars for a while. Alas, 2nd and 3rd was the best that I could do.
I think the price of combi vans these days would come pretty close to a price of a modern day f1 car. I would love to see someone stack one into albert park lake to see if it floats or not....

Changing the topic here but I recently had the chance to drive the AMG GT S on track in real life - hard. Getting back to GT Sport I have to say that the sound and handling (including the weight transfer) are amazingly accurate. Key difference was that with traction control on Sport / Sport + the car had even more grip than the GT Sport one on level 3.
All in all - even more impressed with GT Sport right now. Amazing simulation.

There is nothing better than real life experience to validate the simulation. Sounds like you had a good time too :D

Today was my first ever tumbling in a car when i drive on the "grater" i was like Holy **** ! it happened in R34 on Nurburgring this car is so unstable on this track in the corners.

After GT5-GT6 I have won the Gran Turismo Sport Platinum Trophy tonight.

I have also finished the old GT games with a 100% game completion. I am a real fan of this game and I wanted to share with you dear friends. I like to be a part of this community, thanks for support. Best wishes you all.

Is it me or the Porsche Cayman Club Sport is so slow versus everything else on GR. 4? Love the way it handles but getting crushed by Bimmers, Vipers, and of course those stupid Meganes on the straights.

Yeah I find it slower compared to the rest of the leading Gr.4 cars. I used to love driving the Cayman in Sport Mode but I stopped since I can't drive it well enough to reach the top qualifying lappers such as the Huracan and M4s. I now use either of these two or the Vantage, and never drove it since.

It's in need of slight buff (or everything else slightly nerfed?).

I mostly see the M4 and Vantage in the top 10 qualifiers for the Gr. 4 races. I'd have those cars but at the moment I don't have the fake game money and don't like the gameplay enough to grind for credits to buy them. I just enjoy online racing. Gimme cars from the start... :P

So make your own lobbies and don't just stick to Sport Mode.

That's not exactly a reasonable alternative as public lobbies suck in comparison to Sport Mode in terms of getting good racing.
You probably drive too slow ? I find the Cayman one of the fastest cornering cars.

He's not.

It's not just you, here are some of the cars faster than it;

Audi TT
BMW M4
Toyota GT86
Aston Martin Vantage
Renault Megane

And the one's probably faster but that I haven't tried;

Dodge Viper
VW Scirocco
Lambo Huracan

And then there's probably even more I'm not thinking of so best not to touch the Porsche.

Check out the SNAIL Racing League for some of the cleanest racing on GTPlanet. Our mission is to provide our members with clean, intense, and competitive racing - regardless of skill level! We believe that providing full grids of evenly-matched competition is the most realistic way to race, improve skill, and refine race craft.

Spec racing ensures that success is determined primarily by driving skill and not by differences in power, gearing, suspension, weight, or aerodynamics. Because variables in the car are eliminated, spec racing is the truest measure of driver skill. It also produces intense battles for position because everyone in the same car which is equally strong or weak in the different areas of the track. Plus, you'll never spend hours tuning cars or wondering if someone is truly faster than you or if they just have a better tune.

Our league night is Sunday at 9:30pm Eastern / 6:30pm Pacific. If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, please check us out to learn more about us and how to join.

That could be it. I also think I can't use it on tracks with long straights as I'll just see a parade of Meganes pass me by.......maybe more of a track like Interlagos that has a lot of turns.

I saw one of your members in a sport race the other day......SNAIL Racing decal on a Beetle. I'll see if I can check it out now since football season is over and there is nothing to watch on Sunday nights.

Congrats, I’m only a few Trophies away from this myself. Platinum/100% in every older mainline Gran Turismo as well (except for GT5 which I never played).

What method did you use to get to Level 50?

Wanted to write this post so here it goes.

As some of you might know, I'm currently in the midst of a tough year of military service, and so far -- it hasn't been going too well.

I spend some of the time I have off playing games and GTSport is mostly what I spend my time with. It's incredible how, when playing, I get lost and forget all of my troubles. It's a testament to the benefits of video games. I remember feeling bored with GTS after 3 days of playing it when my T300 broke, but I'm hooked at the moment. I can play for hours a day without feeling bored.

It's the first time a video game is helping me get over a tough period. Note to future yourself: "Never stop Playing".

I’m an old retired Army man. I wanted to let you know that I AM HERE if you need someone to bounce words off of.
I can’t pretend to know what you are going through, but know that you are not alone.
PM me if you wanna talk.
Never stop playing!

Had a fun race this morning in Group 4, I feel silly sometimes knowing all the cars are meant to be equal but when I choose a Scirocco and the car in front of me is a Huracan, and behind me is a Veyron followed by a 458, I can't help but feel a bit nervous.

I ended up going from 9th to 3rd in that race, behind a GTR and a Megane. I love seeing all the vastly different cars racing each other. Never gets old.
