You are now fast enough to realize this. I think anyone that doesn't complain about AI is just driving slow than them and that's okay. That's their pace. But if you work at it and increase your pace you will see the AI has a certain limit that is possible to surpass. Once you do they are decent in turns but entry and exit is way too slow. They hit the brakes on turns that don't need them. Been doing it since GT5 (my first GT game but probably since before that too)

Someone who went sub 2:10 in yesterday's Bathurst Group 4 race was using both stability management and countersteering assistance. A little surprised those assists aren't banned for sport mode.

AI were fast/competitive from GT1-4(been playing since GT1). Standing starts were the norm. In my opinion, that rolling start procedure from GT5P, really did mess up the GT AI formula.

Sub 2:10? Are you sure? I got the fastest time in EU with a 2:10.7 and was the only one in 2:10s, you saying someone did a 2:09?

Tonight’s Group 4 10 lap race at Dragontail is insanely fun. I’ve had some great, clean races so far. The 4x fuel deletion essentially forces a pit stop and so far it has mixed up the results a bit and made things very interesting.

I am loving GT Sport so far and have totally fallen, inevitably, for the Toyota TS050-HYBRID. However, there is one thing that has me puzzled about the car.

We have the Le Mans spec aero but a 6-speed gearbox. Toyota on the TS050-HYBRID use a 7-speed gearbox for Le Mans and a 6-speed for the other circuits. I just think it's odd to have them mixed.

Yes, this was an enjoyable race. So much happening in the middle of the pack; people with different levels of fuel and grip trying not to trip over each other (not everyone succeeded).

Is that that DevilzGraveyard7 guy? If it is then it's not the in game assists that are making him quick, he has his own special ones it seems.

Here was a partial video of his lap I was sent, as you can see he's not even using all the track yet is 0.5 seconds faster than anyone else worldwide. I've put my lap for comparison, sorry about the quality of the video I was sent.

Yeah in my Gr3 race yesterday at Brands Hatch the pole sitter and fastest lap holder was a Porsche with ASM on. I watched the replay and couldn't believe he was fastest because he was all over the road!
He could barely keep it together and finished 3rd but there's definitely something wrong with the game!

I can not get the “king of the oval” trophy after thousands of miles of driving on oval tracks. I did many races even online... spend days for it. Many hours spent on endurance races offline... nothing!

Anyone have the same problem on not gettibg the trophy whatsoever? Whats wrong do you think?

I just did the 1 hr career event at Nurburgring GP and my biceps feel weird now. Doing it on a wheel is a hell of an experience.

Guys what do you think of 4WD cars ? Personally i love quattro in the Audi's and Bugatti Veyron.

P.S what are the default controler sensitivity settings, force feedback max torque, force feedback sensitivity ?

I heard the Gr. 4 Sport race today is a lot of fun so I worked on my GT86 livery to and I'm just now pretty much done with it. Was working off and on all day but now I only have six hours to show it off :P

And here I am racing in the standard GT86. Guess I'm not doing it right. Now, if only they'd let me use a custom livery for the Samba Bus race....

After qualifying when I look at all my lap data on the 'Session Result' screen some of my times have an asterisk by them.
Anyone know why, and what it means?

I started from first place twice and finished second both times. I lost one race on the last corner after having a rather large gap, due to my lack of tyre grip. I lost the other one simply because I lacked pace and was overtaken with 2 laps left. I did change my tyres in that race but I overfueled the car, which didn't make things much easier. Although this was damning, I was able to get a win in the Combi race at Northern Isle. Here is the blueprint for excellent racing - throw everybody in a crap car with skinny tyres and low horsepower. I've never had so much fun in a race before. It had everything; overtakes, pushing, shoving, slipstreaming, crashes and bullying. Who would've thought such a slow car would create this much excitement?

It is a known fact of motor racing that the less HP the closer the racing. If only F1 could figure something out though it would be just as fun lol

Not really. F1 is not like it is because cars have only a difference in HP. There's a lot of factors that go into it, especially aerodynamics. The McLaren had the worse engine in terms of HP but in some tracks the great chassis was doing its job and "making the car faster".

Rally Cross, F3, Indy, NASCAR would also disprove your point.

What makes a series competitive is the overall package and brand budgets. In F1 that's pretty evident.

It's settled, then. All F1 teams should turn up to Melbourne with a couple of combies ...

I've really enjoyed race a, today. Got a good qualifying time early on, so picked up another pole position; then played bumper cars for a while. Alas, 2nd and 3rd was the best that I could do.

This is an angry post.
Up to 12 clean races.
some guy spins out way ahead.
He is just on the track I slow keep will away and he changes from ghost to solid as i past.
I get 5 sec penalty for passing under yellow.
He was not even in second gear.
I am very pissed.:banghead:

edit: Lots of empathy for Kimi now.

I would pay money to see all the F1 drivers race Combis.

I like the balancing on the Gr. 4 cars currently. Don't see a lot of Meganes or 'Roc on the poll positions nowadays, its a mix of Huracan, Vantage, M4, TT Cup and some others.

Enjoyed today's 10 lap Dragon Trail, interesting how one small mistake on refuelling would cost you precious seconds and your position. The Huracan was a good choice on this track. Finished first on one of the races with 0.1 fuel remaining. Nail biting stuff.
