Congrats, I’m only a few Trophies away from this myself. Platinum/100% in every older mainline Gran Turismo as well (except for GT5 which I never played).

What method did you use to get to Level 50?
Not a method but race lots of time, you have to be patient

And how do you get DR up again? Just not hitting people and not getting penalties? SR is about your position improving right?

I had a great race today where I got into first place and slowly built up a gap to everyone else. Saw some cars pit early like Lap 4, most on Lap 5. I planned to pit on Lap 6. 2nd place guy overtook me but he had pitted a lap earlier so he already had worn tires and I was chasing him down on fresh rubber. That was good and then I got him again and pulled away.

Another race I was in first with about a 6 second gap to 2nd and same idea planned to pit on Lap 6 and the group behind pitted on lap 5 there was a big gap to the next group of cars so I put in a hot lap to build up the gap and was able to pit without losing the lead. That felt nice.

There are cars that are still slow, today I ran with my Ferrari in Kyoto and I felt slow, fortunately I made a good strategy and to start 16 finish 6

Wow Blue Moon really ruines your SR when you race it for a few hours. Went from S to C  Did get 6 wins and 7 poles though. Found the races in C mostly cleaner than in S/A races. One of my degradations came from a 5 second penalty I recevied for overtaking a spun out backmarker while leading the race

Check out the impressive DR peak and SR fall: http://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=2399262 :D

After the oval I decided to do the nations cup only to be greeted by a swarm of wallriding Peugeot VGTs on Tokyo who seem to get no penalty for doing so :banghead:

Just did another race but the stupid penalty system ruined my chance at winning. Still pulled back a podium finish with 3rd. I get that I went a little to close to the apex and technically cut the corner. So I see the message to slow down for x amount of time. I do that but the timer still doesn't go down. I let off the gas completely on the straight. Nothing. Only when I go down to around 60mph does it count down. That's more than just slowing down. That's spoiling an entire race. Not to mention it doesn't give a timer for how long you have to slow down before a major penalty is handed out.

First one was on the left hander before the final turn. Gave me something like 4.8 seconds. That's the one I described above with my slowing down not working until being on the main straight and going much slower.

The second one was the chicane at the bottom of the hill. The second left part of it leading up the hill. Something like 7 seconds. Thankfully I got one position back from someone pitting, some others I think in the pitting process itself, and then two on track ahead of me before the checkered flag. Tough battle man but I was battling the system and not the drivers which isn't how it should be.

@sems4arsenal
I’m an old retired Army man. I wanted to let you know that I AM HERE if you need someone to bounce words off of.
I can’t pretend to know what you are going through, but know that you are not alone.
PM me if you wanna talk.
Never stop playing!

Thanks buddy. Yesterday, I received some good news that I may get transferred to a better platoon the coming month so fingers crossed.

I'll never stop playing. This is the first time in my life where I felt that games can be therapeutic.

Today's one-make race at Nurb GP is fun, the LF-LC VGT is quite a handful!
Amusing to see almost everyone on the track trying to control the wheelspins coming out of a corner.

I agree very much with you, racing is a perfect way to empty the head and after a while my thoughts start a life of it's own and lots of dilemma's find new angles, often after a good race session i know better what i want, so my subconscious needs/emotions find a gauge... It is a very easy tool to get in flow-state, and if i don't find the time to race i feel the need to do it...

It was surprising racing clean drivers at Blue Moon who bump drafted. It was a great help although it would've tanked their SR.

I wish someone or a couple of people where moderating the decals being uploaded. Not so much because of their content, but because people are totally incapable and unwilling to tag them correctly.
It's insane how many logos and names are in the 'Shapes' category... it makes finding anything meaningful nearly impossible and I'd imagine most people who want something specific just upload it, rather than seeing if it's already there...

Has anyone noticed that the restrictions for some of the GT League (aka offline) races are somewhat ... questionable?

There's the Midship Challenge, which is "Limited to midship engined cars", which shows the Huracan as a background image, but you can't enter in the Huracan, probably because it's 4WD, and PD didn't allow for separate properties in their garage database model for engine and driven wheels.

There's practically no race you can drive the Nissan GT-R in. (You could maybe try to massively detune it for some event - I haven't tried)

There's also some races that don't allow the Toyota 86 GRMN, presumably because there's a hidden property like in previous GT's that says it's a tuned car. There's really no other reason why the GRMN would not be allowed in a race while the standard '86 GT' is.

It also says in the Premium Sports Lounge race "Limited to non-race cars priced over 10 million credits". I assume they translated the text, but didn't change the credit figure to what most of the rest of the world uses. (Should probably be 100,000)

Can someone explain how the AI chooses car classes for a custom race? I'm in a Gr. 4 car and I set it to N500 but I see cars from different N classes. Are they tuned up to N500 level HP? What's going on here?

I did some laps at Brands Hatch GP with Gr.3 cars i have, except vision ones.
Every car got at least 5 laps, everything stock, RH tires and Noon time.
My setup was DS4 with ABS default and TCS 2.

It's not something "official", just my for fun, mostly New Year driving...

Hello guys, I have a problem for more than a month. When I make a livery in the Livery Editor, most of the times, something happens and it didn't upload my livery. Sometimes, I can find my design if I go to ''My Home - Change Car Livery'', and sometimes not. It's very frustrating.. :(
Look and in the video bellow:

Question: how's the sport mode nowadays? Is it still somewhat popular like couple months ago? And which's the popular Gr.3 and Gr.4 atm? I remember the Beetle used to be OP back in November but I haven't played the game eve since.

I don't wish to pick on your post in particular, so let's just call it an example.

But this concept of the Bettle being OP is simply myth.
It was (still is) a very stable drive.
So for those, generally in the lower ranks, looking for a fast, safe car it became very popular.
But in no way was the Bettle ever OP.

To get back on topic of your question, most events (possibly with exception of the occasional One Make race) seem as popular as ever to me.

After qualifying when I look at all my lap data on the 'Session Result' screen some of my times have a small asterisk next to them.
Anyone know why the asterisk is there, and what it means?

You may have incurred a penalty during the lap as i was hotlapping 5 Laps at Kyoto Yamagiwa in the Arcade Time Trial mode hours ago.
