You mean that Ford GT, right?
I often see this scapes picture in game.

This game needs a huge update to give it a spark. I'm usually always on gran turismo games but this is the first gran turismo game to where I been on and off with it. The only thing i really enjoy on the game is the fantastic livery editor. That's it. Sport mode is cool at times but it's only three races and now it's weekly instead of daily races. This game needs a spec 2.0 update or something. Introduce multi class racing into the game, release tracks in bunches instead of a single track in a update, more wheel options because currently it's only like 3 things you can mess with, and adding wet weather into the game. Its a lot more I can name that the game needs to be added but damn this game needs a huge update to give it new life. Just imagine doing multi class racing in sport mode at Daytona road course or Sebring if they were to add those tracks.
Being able to add weather and adjust time again of the track would be fantastic, just like in the predecessors but aren't they saving those features for the new sequel that's coming out maybe a few years from now? Knowing PD, they probably did scrimp them for that reason.

No mileage update this week I'm guessing.

This is interesting considering last week Sony said PS5 would have a heavy e sport focus. I took thst to mean more GT Sport for PS5 considering it is Sony's #1 e Sport game.
In fact he said in this interview that the next game will be a bit of both things. It will not only be a traditional GT.

So it's just about a year since release this week, everybody knows that of course but I was made doubly aware of it because my PSN subscription is expiring tomorrow.

I wonder if they considered people like me, who only subscribed for GTS, when planning the next update? There is a more tangible reason to do a nice update if they have to tempt back all the subscriptions.

Anyway I think I'm going to let it expire - it's unfortunate that the date fell on a week where I'm not enjoying the sport mode selection. I'm going to shift my focus over to VR mode instead of online racing.
I think you're in a very small minority with this. Most people who purchase a PS+ sub keep it since its needed for every online game excluding free to play games like Fortnight. I have maybe 50 or 60 PS4 games but GT Sport alone is worth the price of my Pro and PS+ sub but that's just me.

At least they're still working on weather conditions.

So i just went to have some fun in the wet on the mission challenges & there is an unusual sound effect from the tires going through the wet tarmac that wasn't there before! It's really loud and annoying! Anyone else noticed that?

It would be nice if we could get a glimpse of what he was presentating as I am curious to see what it was, oh well...
I wonder if we will get a glimpse of weather conditions in the live movie creation.... but I won't get my hopes up for nothing..

I mean why would they put raindrops in the honda VGT unveiling trailer!
And never implemented anything close to a single raindrop in Suzuka!!

Another presentation by the same dev in 2017.

They are obviously working on new tech for the next GT. IMO, they played it safe for GTSport and we'll have to wait for the PS5 to see all the new features. I'm not even sure we'll see one day weather conditions in GTSport.

Interesting abstract:
I plan to introduce an outline of the paper by implementing the paper "A Material Point Method for Snow Simulation" [1] published by A. Stomakhin et al. At SIGGRAPH 2013 [CG Technology Implementation and Mathematics 2018]. This paper uses a hybrid method of lattice and particle called Material Point Method (MPM), a user-controllable elasto-plastic construction model is constructed and used for snow simulation. This method is based on a continuum, and from its hybrid characteristics, it is possible to handle self collision and crushing naturally by using a uniform Cartesian grid.Furthermore, a stable time integration result can be obtained independent of the number of particles by an integration method using lattice-based semi-implicit method. This method is incorporated as a core function of Matterhorn [2], a production simulator of Walt Disney Animation Studios, and it is used for the special effect of snow of the animation work "Anna and the Snow Queen" [3].

It reminds me this position: http://www.polyphony.co.jp/recruit/jobs/974/

・Development of a rigid body simulator
・Development of an elastic body simulator
・Development of a fluid body simulator
・Development of a rag doll simulator
・Development of other physics simulators

I think it's more like a showcase of their technique to simulate snow particles interacting with other elements and forces than showcasing something that will be useful for a near-future Gran Turismo release
