So what about the millions of other products currently going around in the retail world?.. or the semi-proffessional and high-end domains? Everything is a boarderline niche market/product arguably. Let's not get started on the Automotive industry.. so many options and price ponts to choose from, and it's worked out for decades. Here we have a Playstation model at a mere $200 difference. Unlikely to flop, it's just that kids, or those having a hard time getting over the long-standing console lifecycle, are going to have to get used to it. Playstation could drop the $1000+ model tomorrow and some will buy it. A gigantic portion of the world's businesses are making non life essential products, called toys or cool items making life a little easier and fun.

Yes it does. I can understand why you wrote off @Tenacious D example as snob ware, it's on the extreme end of the scale, it is however the very same problem with the mentality so many have that everything should come free. That's maybe what illegal downloading of media and software have done to some. But whatever this a topic pointless to go back and forth about, we will see how it pans out for Sony.
 
Sony never mentioned a uber PS4 when talking about VR. Anyone getting it in October is convinced that a PS4 will be all they need.

Later with the PSVR and a copy of GTS in their hands they will learn that the VR part looks like poop on their PS4 and they need a better PS4 for GTS to look good as well as to get to play others great looking VR games.

According to the person who leaked the PS4K info the intention is not tell anything to keep the holiday sales healthy

"Her belief is that they wont even announce until after the holiday to try to get rid of as many OG units as possible during the holiday without the new sku interfering with the PSVR and OG sku sales."

Go Karting is one of the most basic of motorsports and anyone can do it. Think of it as beginner F1. Small engines, small chassis, dart like cornering.

AutoX or Autocross is also a basic low budget motorsport that requires agility to get around strategically placed cones in the fastest time possible.

Honestly, I don't think I would want Autox to be featured because it is so easily accessible in real life. It would be cool if they had it, but I wouldn't care if it didn't.
 
...This AutoX thing sounds cool. Throw it in the game as a coffee break challenge. No more Knockdown The Traffic Cones rubbish, please.

If PD could port GTS over to PC(Think Rocket League) and allow for crossplatform capability, they would have so many more sales. The problem with racing games on PC is that they're either iRacing spend your whole weekend qualifying or its Race room where you spend more money on DLC than you do on your graphics card. I would love for GTS to be ported onto PC, but I'm pretty sure Sony wouldn't allow PD to do that, unless they use Forza as an example.

Project CARS, Assetto Corsa, GSCE, etc. etc. Oh, and Race Room? That game that 2.5 million people own (because F2P), but nobody plays? :lol:

But I agree, more parties on PC are always welcome. But Sony (contrary to MS these days) is not very open to the topic.
 
Today on Turbo, a TV show in France, they spoke about Gran turismo. Sadly, they gave no more news. They said
that the release date is still unknown, and also Kaz said the development of GTS gives him the same feeling when he developed GT1.
Finally, for him GTS is better than an improvement of GT5 and GT6, this is a new beginning.
