It must feel like making Gran Turismo 1 since they were developing Motor Toon: Grand Prix along with it. Only this time, the second game is Gran Turismo 7. History sure does repeat itself.

I can't believe rudeness of this level.
It wasn't rude, Sam has a point. The thing with Kaz is he tends to say things that either come out too vague or empty, thus it's hard to believe anything the guy saids nowadays after GT5/6. I mean seriously...

Kaz said: "the development of GTS gives him the same feeling when he developed GT1."
Who cares? People want to hear new, fresh news about GTS and the release date for its beta. Is that Seriously too much to ask of Kaz or what?

coming up?

Rudeness? Do you want me to post the quotes of things he's said and promised that hasn't happened? It would take a while.

If you want to go ahead and take his words at face value feel free, I'll be taking them on past experience, with a cruise ship of salt.
No. It's easy to practice pessimism. I won't anymore.

It's the big picture that counts. I say it very shortly: The Man has united auto-enthusiasts and automotive cultures from east to west, introduced us exciting brands, merged automotive industry with virtual models and has created a path for sofa racers to reach real life racing, an this all since late 20th century all over the globe (among other things).
Peace and respect (him).
The new technical leaps behind scenes may have delayed GTS, but when the Beta hits us, we are in for a treat!

It's quite possible to respect him and also not believe everything he says.

You don't know that either of those things are true.

This is true, and that is what Kaz wanted... For Gran Turismo to be more than a game, to be a movement, but many can't look behind the fact that GT6 wasn't smooth 60fps or that it has sharp 2D trees and spectators... Anyways the point is that if you look at GT as a "movement" it's great, but if you look at it as a game, well... not so great

Let's give Kaz the benefit. A whole new game. That's awesome. So we got GT3 & 4 for the PS2. Also GT5P, GT5 & GT6 were new for the first time ever on PS3. GTS will indeed be like a whole newly developed game(although you'll still have to start from last or 12th and finish 1st to advance) for PS4. History will be made. For the first time ever on the PS4, a Gran Turismo game will debut!

Haha it is easy to be pessimistic at this stage I agree, but I am hoping it will be everything we all wanted and more, I fall for it on every iteration and will continue even if this turns out be a disappointment. Call it a gluten for punishment! But I have always got far more enjoyment out of GT then every other game despite its flaws so it will always be a day one for me :) Just give us some news, a taste ANYTHING ha :)

I played GT6 yesterday and it's still great fun to play. There's not much PD need to do to please me really. I purchased a Formula Gran Turismo, drove it around Spa with hard tyres and it's actually quite a challenge to get a clean lap. Trust me, go out and do it now. My expectations really aren't massive with GT Sport, and the absence of news has more or less kept it that way.

The last time GTS was even mentioned in the PitStop blog was 2 months ago and it was 2 sentences.

How I wish this was the case for me, I fired it up a week ago and have to be honest was simply disappointed.

For me PD do have a lot to do with GTS to make it a product that will once again lead the market.

Or is it in preparation for news?

It does now say "© 2016 Sony Interactive Entertainment" in the corner of the language selection page, in accordance with Sony's restructuring and renaming of Sony Computer Entertainment. I don't know exactly when that change was made, but that is certainly new and that might have been the maintenance...

Seems like the maintenance is over, the German version of gran-turismo.com is accessible for me.

A famous chain of electronic shops here in Italy have started taking preorders for GTSport. I find this pretty surprising since they never had such "service" before and are offering a trade in a game discount.

According to them the game will be 69.99Euros.

Make of this what you wish, but if any of that is true it would get out the whole game, no beta before it and shouldn't be too far in the future. Oh and sadly full fat price for it.
