Yeah it was the first thing I noticed. The LC500 is the US Spec version too. Same with the Genesis Coupe. The MiTo is the Japanese Spec version as well.Idk how many others have noticed this, but did you know the Nissan GT-R Premium that’s in the game is USDM?
Yes so true. Also, what really gets to me is that you can't immediately tell if one of your friends is in a race with you. I wish friends' names had a different color or icon or something, so you could see them clearly, instead of having to read everyone's name before a race. There's been a few times I didn't know a friend was in a race with me.
Wow just seen an Alpine 110 '17 passing nearby. It is incredible how look alike conpared to the gt sport version. It had the same og blue color too
Yeah I have. I think it's stupid though because PD are located in Japan...Idk how many others have noticed this, but did you know the Nissan GT-R Premium that’s in the game is USDM?
I guess Nissan made USDM model (real one and 3DCG one) first, and PD was given it early.Yeah I have. I think it's stupid though because PD are located in Japan...
I'm thinking it'll be the same wioth the Supra. Its launch was in the USA. We'll see.I guess Nissan made USDM model (real one and 3DCG one) first, and PD was given it early.
Route 246 CONFIRMED!I never spent much time at BB Raceway but since its a Daily this week I started looking around and taking pictures. I see its using the same Baseball stadium and Golf range that they used in Tokyo Route 246, only a bit updated to ps4 levels.
So a little fan theory; Perhaps they have had an updated route 246 in the works or maybe they scraped it and took those assets to make the Broad Bean Raceway we know today. I would think it odd that they updated those features just for BB Raceway
GTS took a step back and brought back the racing in racing games, and stopped the car collection idea. It practically vomits cars at you, leaves the tuning to the essential essentials, and the trophies (well, some of them) I think have the intention of motivating players to improve their pace and racecraft. Difficulty is definitely subjective in achieving these trophies- you can lower your SR rank and get easy poles and wins if you really really reeeaaalllyyyyy super duper want that trophy, but otherwise it is indeed a challenge, to say the least. It does move goalposts, but you have to consider than in real life a majority of race car drivers haven't had a single pole or won a single race, and most of them never will. Or maybe not. This is a game after all.I feel like a lot of GTS' game design was modeled around the fact that it's very much a "living game," and was comparatively austere in content at launch. These include the following:
-Randomized prize cars
-The return of experience and levels, like in GT5.
-The fact that when changing car settings, it's assumed all upgrades you could get in other GT games have been bought. E.g. full-customize suspension & transmission.
-Mileage points, the mileage exchange, and its rotation.
-Trophies (namely the ones for total wins & pole positions) that are subjective in difficulty. It's frustrating that I can have a time within the top 100 players for a daily race, but never score any poles/wins. It feels like it's just moving the goalposts. While I do like the motif behind using real-world GP driver stats for the total races/wins/poles trophies, I'm of the belief that these trophies should've been replaced with ones that had more of a basal, static criteria. For example, a trophy awarded for beating a certain time on a given track with a particular car without changing its settings - perhaps said time could be set by someone notable, like GTS' special guest Lewis Hamilton, or Lucas Ordonez. Alternatively, there could be a trophy for reaching a particular DR score/rank.
-Similarly, the in-game achievements seem to be modeled around GTS' streamlined content at launch, and seem to often task players with other stuff to do while they wait for content updates. I, for one, would've replaced the consecutive clean races achievement with one that's for a total amount of clean races, but in the process, increasing the amount of clean races required for each level.
-I'm also unsure just what's being planned with the official GTS app, if anything at all. I could see a lot of improvements to the in-game "social network," if you ask me. For example, when it comes to searching certain items (photos/liveries/etc.), you should be able to sort by most likes/shares/downloads within a few different timespans, namely the past week, month, six months, and all-time. I do wonder, however, if maybe the app would be updated if/when the successor to GT Sport (and Sport Mode) appears in the next main GT title?
-Other QoL things I'd add would include usage stats for daily races/championships, in addition to viewing the top ten times. You could see the most popular car for each manufacturer and the percentage of players that used that car, sort by drivetrain, national origin, or even a combination of these factors; you could have a drop-down menu and check-off each factor, then you can display the most popular cars within that criteria.
What do you think? @Famine @Alpha Cipher
They need Oulton Park in the UK. A mini Nurburgring that suits anything upto Gr.3.Along with early Group A cars I would like a neat fast little club racing circuit similar to Amaroo Park for GT Sport.
PD had plenty on their hands bringing GT Sport upto PS4 technical standards and building the whole online racing mode from scratch. What most people tend to forget is that GTS is a racing game back to its roots, not a car collecting game that happened to have racing in it. Austere if you think it is, but maybe it's not just for you

Ask top level drivers, many of which spent their early racing years in the UK, and it’s always one of their favourites. PD need to be a little more clued up when choosing circuits. We all want Spa, Silverstone, Laguna etc. But I can guarantee Oulton Park would be a fan favourite and easy to get rights too. It’s part of same parent company as Brands Hatch.

But now that’s been done I fully expect the next GT to have it’s own dedicated ‘Sport Mode’ and a traditional GT CaRPG.
I just started a new career in Gran Turismo 3. Forza and GTSport don't feel special to me. And even with more tracks and cars, the core of GTSport is just not for me. (eSport, no career mode, no real challenge...)I like oulton park so long as the chicanes are removed.
I thought the GT5 A-Spec mode at its core was just as crap as GT League in GT:Sport. There's just a lot less cars and tracks this time around.
They need to fix the actual racing. Starting a race in a rolling start 2km behind the leader and chasing the leader was adequate for 90's arcade racers, not for a game trying to prove how seriously it takes racing close to 2020.

I hate the third person camera in GT4 and more generally I don't like the colors in GT4. GT3 is colorful, fun and probably with the best soundtrack of the franchise.GT3 was actually my least favorite Gran Turismo. The career mode was very repetitive because it was inflated by repeating the same events twice or thrice on a higher difficulty.
SUPER HIGH TECH JET FIGHTERS!GT3 is colorful, fun and probably with the best soundtrack of the franchise.
The soundtrack I can really get behind that. Still the best race song for me alongside Kickstart My Heart and As Good As It Gets.GT3 is colorful, fun and probably with the best soundtrack of the franchise.

I'd say that GT4 had a better soundtrack but then again I do have a slight bias, as it was the first GT game I purchased.I hate the third person camera in GT4 and more generally I don't like the colors in GT4. GT3 is colorful, fun and probably with the best soundtrack of the franchise.
