This isn't a Gran Turismo video, but this is a great comparison between ray tracing and non-RT.
You can see how good the ray-traced reflections is.

You know PS5 will support RT, and you might have seen how much power it gives to Gran Turismo, via the presentations by PDI.

That more-evolved stunning graphic is coming to our sights. I'm really looking forward to the ray-traced GT game.

Gran Turismo Sport is reported to have sold over 8 million copies. Thanks to ShareGamePlay on twitter for this find.

Actually if you look at the chart that shows revenue, number of employees and so forth Sony with its fewer employees and studio square footage needed as a result is probably easily third on that list in cleared after expense profits for its studios.

Now granted those profit figures are not generated by GTS alone but all the Sony studio titles.

On the other hand that figure showing 8 million GTS game units sold shows just how pitiful the participation rates in Sport Mode really is.

So does Sony and PD use the very good overall GTS sales numbers while looking at the in comparison very low Sport Mode participation rates of the current title to lean their next games development focus to a different direction of while retaining Sport Mode making the main game focus be on a more traditional offline single player Gran Turismo game?

Could be interesting.

Low participation rates could easily be improved if PD actually cared about making changes to Sport Mode.

A statistic that most people don’t think about is PS+. Only about 1/3 of Playstation users pay for PS+.

Now, I’m not asserting that only 1/3 of GT Sport players have PS+ because I’m sure the number is disproportionate. However, it’s safe to assume a huge amount of GTS players simply can’t race online even if they wanted to.

"We believe the value of Sony's studios [...]" Seems to be no official information.

It's a presentation made by Third Point, one of Sony's major shareholders. Should be safe to say they've got access to official info from Sony. The chart on the right does mention the infamously questionable VGChartz as a source alongside official company disclosure, but VGChartz claims GT Sport sold a mere 3.77m, so I'm guessing the data on first party titles is all legit from Sony while the data on third party titles is less reliable VGChartz numbers.

Go Brooks! For Canada.
Go Hizal! For the home crowd and 1st non-Brazil/Chile Champ.

I'm way too into these races.

Well, he is saying Kojima Productions is now owned by Sony and I don't think shareholder's get these kind of information early. I don't trust him.

He says "first party games" not "first party studios", and Death stranding is a Sony ip ("first party game")

Well they can't shove people into Sport Mode for the next game. They have to make serious efforts to make sure the offline content is the best we've ever had. PD have the resources for an excellent GT7 and it has to happen. They need to make GT great again.

A couple of surprises you won't want to miss too...

We better see something that nobody here anticipates... More than just rain hopefully.
