The way things go, it's private beta first, then followed almost immediately by a public one, barring any last minute hiccups.

Very much a veteran of GT and gaming as a whole. I can still remember tape loading elite on my acorn electron, a 20 minute operation! And yet last night I was walking around a virtual world in my HTC Vive. It's unbelievable the journey I have been on over the past 30 odd years!

Some aspects may be limited but this seems highly likely to be an event similar to the GT6 one at Silverstone, a private media event not broadcast to be public but once it's happened there will be an influx of information online, both directly from PD and relayed by the journalists. I'm sure Kaz will be doing his usual slideshow presentation.

It's going to be interesting to see how close the visual fidelity is to Driveclub, and how different the physics and sounds turn out. My PS4, T300RS and speakers are ready.

With Neo on the horizon it begs the question for those that don't already have a PS4. Do you buy a PS4 just before GTS releases or do you wait for Neo?

That was my first thought. Maybe something is lost in translation but in English it most definitely implies that there are betas between now and the event and/or that beta tests have already taken place.

Well I know zero Italian but that original screenshot definitely says 'finale' and, well, I can just about translate that. I would assume there have been other invite-only private betas up to now, rather than more upcoming. It would make the most sense, I think.

Agreed. "Final" definitely implies that there was something else before it. Probably some private tests, required to help them shape the final version.

I can confirm that no beta tests have been carried out by the European Sony Beta testers.

Oh I agree with that 100%. Much like PD did in Barcelona for the launch of GT6, we will get a flood of info our way after the event is over. However, I don't think this is a sign that we will be sampling the beta this month, too early to assume that (if that happens I'll eat my GT6 disk)

Indeed, given the proximity of the event to E3 I think it's highly likely they'll be linked, as in this is the first part of promotion, look out for more (including the beta date) at E3. That is my expectation anyway but I'm probably wrong.
