So what's been going on? Just noticed the GT Sport forum is now above GT6 and the explosion in activity in this thread over the last few hours. I looked back 10 pages or so but can't find any new trailers/screenshots? And the pitstop blog is down? Are PD preparing for an announcement or something?

There will be an event in London. And those who are invited will probably test beta before anyone at the event.

We will have new information before or during this event. I think that we should not look further with the word "final".

Ah ok, thanks for that 👍 Just your typical GTP hype train getting excited before nothing then

It's getting harder for me to stay interested/positive about GT nowadays. PD is still stuck in their 90s and refuses to even look at their competitors, many of which have left GT in the dust in terms of physics/car list/sound/AI. After playing sims from 10 years ago and then jumping to GT6 the driving feels so numb it's not funny. I mean GTS will probably look amazing, and I'm intrigued by how they will run the FIA Championship, but other than that I will happily pass this generation of GT.

Looking forward to more info, but not expecting anything groundbreaking :indiff:

We are excited because we will have new informations about GT Sport this month.

Nah, we should aim for 300 pages :gtpflag:

So 200 pages later and we finally have a hint of info then.

So for the 300 page milestone, we'll actually start playing the game then?

Let's rack up the page count chaps :sly:

I accidentally clicked on the GT6 subforum while trying to get here

With Neo on the horizon it begs the question for those that don't already have a PS4. Do you buy a PS4 just before GTS releases or do you wait for Neo?
This is what is bumming me right now. While I'm excited for the news and possibility of GTS being soon, it does nothing for me. I now have to wait to find out how the Neo is going to play out, and even if I don't get it, it would be smart for me to wait anyways as once that is revealed, PS4 prices will drop. So either way, I'm still playing the waiting game.

You could always just buy a PS4 then sell it later to get a Neo.

Sure, you'll probably lose some money in the process... but it's not like we haven't payed for a taste of next-gen GT before.

That would be foolish.

Sheeeeeit

I stay away from this forum one (O-N-E) day and that's what happens. And I'm even italian (i could be useful for once)

So, perhaps is better to stay away for some weird astral coincidence.

I'm joking, cheers guys. Something is really happening!!!

..and still PitStop blog it is down.

I don't think this means anything for GTS, if it did, they would replace it with a maintenance notice or something like they do when preparing new pages for the official site. Not that it would even be required for a blog, they can just queue any news about GTS for when it's ready to go live. They wouldn't let the whole site go down and be unreachable though just to prepare for news. They must be having some unrelated technical issue, it's just a subdomain of the main site so someone perhaps twiddled the wrong knob. The server still responds when you ping it.

With the "final" event in two weeks, Poly should hype a little bit their game before launching the open beta.

Pretty sure that is what the event will be. I highly doubt they'll publicly launch the beta on that weekend, but they're letting select players try it out first. In fact did they not have the demo of GT6 running at the Silverstone launch event before we could play it a little later? Pretty sure they did, so same deal, just a beta rather than a demo.

EDIT: Just checked, they did. People played a GT6 demo at Silverstone on 15th May 2013 then we got that demo publicly on July 2nd 2013.

I would imagine we won't have to wait until July this year but still, following a pretty similar schedule I think.

I'm reading it like the beta launch is a bigger event, and that the invitation is for the final part of the event.

I thought that but further down it says they'll be required on the 18th, 19th and 20th. I'm assuming 18th is meant as travel day, but still, says they'll be required at both days of the 'event', not just the end of it.

Good news looking forward to trying a beta if we all get a chance at some point in May/June. Having come from PS1/2 GT1/2/3 >360/Forza1-4/FH1 and missing GT5/6 (although played many times at friends/family) and back to PS4 since 2014 I have really been looking forward to this on the PS4 along with GT7. I will have to get my internet up to speed, I wonder what sort of file size this beta will be to download?:D:indiff:

They'll keep the filesize down by using standard models.
