A car being digitally rendered also doesn't mean its automatically a part of GT.

Never said it is.

And it probably isn't. One poster on neogaf pointed out that the mirrors cast a shadow on the car - a graphical feature not shown in footage of GTS we've seen so far.

Now a photo mode could have self reflections while the gameplay doesn't but it's most likely just a render done by Alfa not related to GTS.

Yeah, that has been pointed out on this thread as well.

Self-shadows from mirrors and other body parts are in GT5 & 6.

It's the self-reflections that was always missing. Here the side mirror is reflected on the door panel, which is absent in GT games.

The lighting has more of a GT6-esque, if anything. There shouldn't be any DLC for GT6, so I have doubts about this car being modeled by Polyphony. As you said, GT Sport does and should look much better.

Well obviously you haven't seen the game. It is just the wording of your statement:

As you said, GT Sport does and should look much better.

Does = you have seen the game already and it looks better.
Should = you expect the game to look better.

The way someone words something could alter the original meaning completely.

I think it was. 15th of May it was I believe. I could imagine the beta test could be like the recent F1 2016 beta test - the invited people go there and get to play a certain build of the beta, which basically is close to be finished, just to maybe find some minor bugs. The players then play the beta and report if any bugs or glitches are still in the beta. If PD can, they maybe even fix these bugs and glitches right there in the UK, if not back in Japan, after the beta test, and provide the players with the new build the next day, and so on.

So a sort-of beta, plus public announce, at the same event? Interesting approach, if true...

I wonder where this will be held in London - can't think of much that's distinctively motorsport related in the capital.

I think Jordan already have a huuuuge post for main page with new info about GT Sport, just like with Course Maker. We just need to wait until next week, when PD will make all last checks and permissions.

My post make sense now. Probably, this "huge post" have some timer and when timer will stop, everyone will be able to see it. But for now only GTP staff can see it. Mystery solved.

I thought it was pretty obvious Jordan knew in October at least the month of reveal..i.e. May.

He stated quite clearly he thought the announcement in Paris was a bit early.

Any way...My bet for the blowout date will be next Wednesday if before the rumoured 18th-20th May Beta event in London. The day after Uncharted 4 release.

Getting a bit nervous now and just hope PD blow my socks off! If my Football team can deliver against the odds (Elvis making a return had much shorter odds!) then PD should deliver too.

We'll probably have some kind of 'teaser' post next week, announcing the event, and to stay tuned...

Still don't agree with how they've handled PR for the last six silent months, but I will forgive them if what they show is amazing...
