I'd love to play Forza, but $400 for one game? Can't justify that....

It's like the Neo Geo all over again :)
True. Than again there's also Forza Horizon which is coming out with the 3rd installment of the series as well. So you can make that two, it's super fun! :D

Strictly speaking, it's three games, soon to be four. Though there's little reason to get FM5 outside of a handful of cars that didn't carry over to FM6.

I get the point you're making, of course. I wouldn't doubt there are members that consider dropping that sort of money on a PS4 simply on the promise of GT Sport, though, so it's not an entirely foreign concept. It's hard to nail down the value of this hobby, since it means different things to different people.

Let's not forget about a wheel too if that is your thing. Since the DFGT/G25/G27 don't work on the XBOne.

Which is the case for a lot of PS3 wheels if you're moving to PS4 too (at least, officially). Not all of them, but a healthy amount.

There is the Fanatec, one-ring-to-rule-them-all solution for every platform, but it's thoroughly out of the price-range of most folks. A shame nobody else is trying that approach, but that's probably the reason for the sticker.

Yes, but moving to PS4 it's a 'normal move' for a GT fan.

It doesn't change the fact the financial outlay is largely the same though, especially now that both ecosystems require a fee for online play.

Of course, with PCARS, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, and SLR Evo being multi-platforms, both XB1 and PS4 players have a whole lot more options this generation than just the first-party titles, which can only be good. 👍

When it comes GT games and the systems they're played on, I've had a strange pattern with them. I bought GT3 a month or so before I even owned a PS2. Then had to re-buy a (slim) PS2 in University two months before GT4. The PS3 came five months before GT5's release. We picked up the current PS4 this past Black Friday.

Going by that, I guess GTS will have to release in July.

No, I just thought you may have been implying that he should be a fan of all driving sims, not just GT. He should be a fan of whatever he wants to be a fan of.

Anyway, this is apparently just me misreading a post, as I seem to do all too often. Carry on.

The wait for GTS has been so hard, I also considered getting an Xbox1 and Forza 6. . . thats when I realized.. As tempting as it was. . that 400$ could be better spent buying Playstation VR for GTS. Its a dream come true for me to have GT in VR, I literally wished it possible since GT in 1998 lol.

I wouldn't exactly say this means anything substantial but the GT Sport subforum has now been moved above GT6's. I don't think I saw this earlier.

Edit: Has been said already. Carry on reading.

Having a PS4 and XBONE is just too expensive for me, first you gotta pay for both consoles, then you have to pay for online and then you can buy games, but then again I would like to buy a wheel for my racing games and even something entry level like T150 would cost as much as a console itself. Not to mention I will be buying my first car relatively "soon" (before GT7 that's for sure) so i'd like to focus my money towards that.

Totally fair, and I agree on the both consoles thing. Back before paid subs, it was easier to justify.

Also, I bought the T150 recently, and it's ace for the money. For a 'budget' wheel, real good quality. Can't wait to try GTS with it...

I'd love to play Forza Horizon 2. I think it is almost the perfect game for me. But I really don't want to buy a console for one game. I'm still hoping to find someone who borrows me an Xone for a month

BTW, my bet we'll see something before E3.

Slight? It’s been more than 24 hours now. Agreed update, rework, migration, etc could all have been performed backstage.

Could be anything really, up to a couple of activist GT fans blackmailing PD for some GTS news...

A really really specific DDoS by some 4Chan GTFan :nervous:

I meant the official home page, not the PitStop blog.
