That is correct.

So, how many more months until we can get our hands on that beta? You guys think they'll even get it out by "early 2016"?

I say PD delay the damn beta and it comes out in the summer instead of the start of 2016.
Sounds reasonable.Around April, I think
How can we get into the beta when it opens?

Have they confirmed that GT Sport coming 2016? I'm not sure.
But Playstation release 20 PS4 exclusives for 2016 video and at 0:41 they shows GT Sport.
Could be for the beta... maybe
And again I'm not sure if this old news.
2016 Launch Date, Public Beta in Spring
The PlayStation Blog has confirmed the game will launch in 2016, with a “Spring 2016” window for Gran Turismo Sport’s beta.
So Assetto Corsa just revealed what they are bringing to the table with their game. They talk about the console version and upcoming content and stuff, Forza 6 got a car pack coming this month, and Project Cars got a car pack/ track pack coming this month and also they been teasing their upcoming DLC for 2016 in general. Oh and another update to the game coming this month. Meanwhile PD continues to stay quiet about what they are doing.............. A release date for the beta would be nice or a car/track list or a second trailer.... Sorry that it's off topic but damn.
It would make more sense to have a race car on the cover of a racing game called "sport" that is supposed to be based around an FIA championship would it?I could see March being the next time that the game surfaces. Of course that all hinges on the speculation that many have had which is that the Bugatti Chiron will be the cover car for Sport. It's going to be unveiled at Geneva (March 3rd-13th). So that'd be a perfect chance to show the game off again. It'd basically be a flip of what happened with the VGT Bugatti unveiling. Which was Bugatti bringing a virtual car into the real-world. This would instead be Polyphony bringing a real-world car into the virtual world. It'd also potentially give them a chance to setup demo stations for the Bugatti VGT and the Chiron for attendees.
You won't get anything right now. It's the winter holidays. So Assetto Corsa just revealed what they are bringing to the table with their game. Sony is all on vacation until at least Monday. You won't get anything until after then.I said give us some INFO not release the beta. Just like what pcars, Assetto corsa and Forza6 is doing. I know its the holidays but that shouldn't stop them from releasing info.

All it is, is the Chiron, what the Bugatti Vision GT is based on, is being officially revealed at Geneva. I honestly doubt there'll be much there about GT Sport. Unless they finished a demo of it with the Bugatti Vision GT.The latest news post suggest Jordan is hinting at GTS stuff during Geneva for me
