Yes, plus they're not all actual racing events. It was:

10 'beginner school' events
35 'Circuit experience' events
62 'Mission Challenge' events
10 'racing etiquette' events

So the vast majority are missions, like GT4s presumably, and 20 are license-esque.
I just hope they add special events like endurance. ;)

Northern Ireland! YEAH BABY :D

Saw a couple of shots literally just down the road from me here at uni too, equally awesome :)

Scapes looks like a brilliant idea - high-quality cars rendered into real-life scenes. Now those "concept" images from a few months ago make sense.

Only drawback with it is I presume the real-life scenes are fixed - so whilst you'll be able to move the cars about, you won't be able to change the perspective of the scene.

So going by their 'all cars remade' thing and the cars included I guess they started making cars in the new way towards the end of GT6 development and going forward.

There aren't any 'old' GT5 or GT6 cars, that I've noticed.

People say this with every game, PD said it with GT6, it's very rarely true.
This would explain why there was relatively so little DLC outside of the VGT's for GT6.

Some of the realistic backgrounds in photomode make the cars look very out of place, while others seem to work flawlessly.

I think it's because there is a difference in the quality of the models for each car, as with GT5 and GT6 some appear to have been inferiorly modelled, or maybe to meet a certain polygon target if they are quite complex looking. As for photo mode, again it looks way more realistic than in game... I wish GT Sport looked like that in game but I don't think it's possible even on a PS4 Neo!

I thought it was awesome.

Haha me too. So far I'm pretty pleased by what PD has shown me.

My make or break deal breakers haven't been presented yet however. I still don't know how the engines sound, and I'm not sure how the physics model is. I've been hearing good things and from the gameplay videos it looks promising but is it as good for a DS4 user?

I guess bottom line is for me, So far so good. But I'm not completely sold on it just yet.

Northern Isle Speedway: The half-mile short oval (approx. 900 meters) is popular in American motorsports, and it appears for the first time in Gran Turismo. The width of the track is 16 meters wide and has banks set at a 31-degree angle, which provides for exciting racing, allowing cars to go two or three wide at a time.

That is Bristol.

Ah interesting...where did you get this from?

That description seems more on par with Bristol....minus the promise of three-wide racing.

People have been complaining for years that GT trailers never include gameplay footage.

They are giving people what they want, and people are complaining.
Because WHAT do we saw in trailer.
It's disappointing at least. Sound, AI, Damage, Weather? No, just photo-mode. Aliasing everywhere, low-res shadows, textures etc. Cars looks amazing but everything else is just meh.

what about offline events ? sunday cup , 4wd , ff etc...

It looked impressive and fully featured but then I thought maybe as you said there is a real low decal limit or we are stuck with a small set of premade company decals / logos and shapes.... or maybe manufacturer specific decals which can only be applied to certain cars etc. I guess we will have to see it in more depth.
Or...gasp...the stickers are prebaked and many are hidden behind microtransactions.

Weird eh? Thousands of people don't have a singular opinion? What are the odds?

Guys, this is not a public unveil, I think they have to keep something in the dark until the live stream such as a formal trailer or more informations
I agree. Now we've seen what the press wanted, soon we'll see what we want

It looks amazing but i have to say the latest info are getting me in a bad mood about the game:
- old sound and no damage
- the said is online based with only 117 events in campaign mode most of the them being missions
- fake racing cars
- street tracks.. ok they look good but i would have preferred Imola..i was expecting a racing game this time
- no beta!
At the moment i'm more hyphed for assetto corsa (which i tried for the first time last week in the Ferrari Museum in Maranello with a dynamic playseat inserted in an ferrari f1 1:1 cockpit model.... another level really)
