Sorry guys...

is this real? .. damn it's terrible.

They could be placeholders. PD is known to change engine sounds abruptly in updates and such. Right now they're probably focused on letting people FEEL the game and get accustomed to the physics and some of the features. Engine sound, While very important, is something they probably feel can be something to reveal later on.

I just don't believe you expand your staff and get a guy from Forzas sound department and don't have sound improvement.

Did we watch the same trailer?

Yes. It doesn't look that great. The photomode does, but the rest, meh.

Some bits looks particularly rough. Also collision physics seem like good ole GT. 👎 (@ roughly 1:24 in the trailer)

See the screenshot alucard0712 posted. Can't blame youtube for that one.

They know that before graphics, we expect faaaaar better sounds. A big event like this with the same kind of sounds. I can't understand Poly. Sounds, it can't be that hard...

Don't know if that's true or not, but it's a helluva marketing strategy if it is. Ford: "Hey everyone, come on out for the 2017 reveal of the new Boss Mustang. We just want you to get a feel for the car before it's released in the fall, so instead of the new 351 Cleveland motor with 645 hp, you're just going to drive the 2.2 litre 4 banger with 185 hp. Enjoy!!!"

Let's hope sounds are addressed in the upcoming livestream so we aren't left in the dark about it.

PD has NEVER mass updated sounds "later". They've promised to, and they've changed one or two here and there but never a huge complete overhaul. What we hear today is extremely likely to be it, for the full game, generally.

Indeed, terrible background. They must have been so close to deadline if they couldn't knock together a nice trailer without stuff like that.

Exactly! It can't be that hard! Which is why I ultimately believe they haven't revealed the real sounds yet. Is it a wise idea to use placeholders in a public event like this? Probably not.

But will the reward and praise for the true sounds be worth using the placeholders? I'd say so. Provided they are extremely overhauled and sound damn near real life.

i have to say i expected GTS to be a sort of spin-off (waiting for gt7) focused on racing. However i'm not seeing more than amazing landscape for the photo mode, museum, strange city tracks and so on. So i had a wrong idea.

It's a crazy marketing strategy, but it could work though.
