Well if the world shadows flicker, then that surely means that they are dynamic, which means the time of day will be dynamic too. It's important to racing. Especially for GTS.
Remember in GT6, the tracks with dynamic time of day had problems with shadows.

The second bit.

:P

I've had some small technical difficulties that set my schedule back, but rest assured there is new content coming today!

Haha yeah it is...
01.55am here and I need to wake up on 07.00am and travel on a bike for 60+ km of distance...need something so I can sleep in peace and wake up in fresh :D

One says Willow Springs, the other says Nurburgring.

My bad, I thought it was refering to Brands Hatch in the middle. And those to me look like in two distinct times of the day, but I might be completely wrong
Didn't even noticed the arrows on the right...

This leads me to believe that the final months of development is more significant than what I was expecting when we heard Kaz yesterday state it was 50% done.

It is well known fact that crunch time is when most of the work (crucial) is done. You have to remember that they probably have more features/effects on board but they impact fps. As they Improve the engine, they can bring the settings up (anti aliasing etc).

No, that's absolutely not a fact. Crunch time is at the end of development, when things are finalized for release. The crucial stuff should be done already.

They've got to get it above 60 fps at all times first, because it doesn't appear to be at the moment.

It should but practically never is (Believe me in this) That's why we get games with bugs at launch.

Philosophy in game/software development is that optimization should be done last (Otherwise it's a waste of resources). That is why they are able to provide new builds by optimizing and merging the core.

All that does not guarantee Improvement, but it shows It is possible.
Look at DC for example it was choppy as hell in demo builds but they fixed it.
Heck even GT5p->GT5 is a good example (It was reversed tho) in prologue it shows what they could do. What we got differs because of the car count and other stuff (But those decisions were done last)
