I don't think so but very likely the old gen wheels, for example Logitech series', belong to the past. :indiff:

Well considering Logitech don't provide drivers for their older wheels, I wasn't expecting those to be supported. However, most PS4 racing titles support a lot of non-official wheels

What old gen wheels? Those aren't viable unless you have some sort of complicated adapter but if I remember correctly here is no old wheel support on the newest gen consoles.

There are a lot of older wheels currently supported in almost every PS4 racing game. Driveclub is the only racing game I've played that supports only official PS4 wheels (I think WRC 5 might too, but who cares, that game is trash).

edit: I asked because I've got a good Fanatec setup, and it works with all Codies games, Pcars, The Crew, SLRE, and has been confirmed to be supported on PS4 in AC. There's no way I'd be shelling out $500+ for a Thrustmaster wheel just to play GTS, and I'm in no way interested in playing sims with a controller, so whether PD supports non-official wheels will certainly make a difference to whether I'd consider buying the game or not.

For those who ditched Lamborghini out of the VGT program due to certain partnership, guess what!! ;). Now the question is, where's Honda??

That's not what I said though (hence why I asked what older wheels exactly), since from the factory there was supposedly no firmware setup with older wheels in mind, and thus if you wanted to use them you'd have to use an adapter of some sort, or firmware provided from the game developer itself. PCars doesn't allow officially and logitech wheels (pre-G29).

T500RS works on driveclub so it will with GTS

Ok some more thoughts on gts. I played with assists off, but I am not sure what that a actually means as I accidentally just started the race without checking options. You select assists before the race screen, I selected none, there were two other options. There where also options in the options screen which I clicked past. I noticed cars driving strange for people who selected assists. Mainly horrible looking under steer or strange looking oversteer that looks like the effect of lag.

The mx5 really is a joy to drive. Just a little flick of the wheel is all you need to make it drift and the engine holds its power, doesn't just die when drifting like in previous games. It don't feel as solid as asseto corsa but I really have to judge that with my own setup.

The graphics are good stop complaining. The car models in particular are great, better than anything I have seen. And I am sure this will be at least close to a locked 60fps. I did see issues. Strange flickering and various bugs. Also the TV's used had far, far too much sharpness. Keep that in mind when watching off screen caps. Graphics are the lest of my concerns for this game. I am sure these issues will be worked out, it's normal for this stage of development.

Damn train ride over ...

Ok the sound. Crash sounds are better than I remember from gt6. I lost one of my drifts and spun backwards into a barrier. I am sure I hard something like stones or the like flicking up. The tyre sounds... meh. They re there but in the background now, nothing special but not annoying either. They are going down a good path with the engine sounds but still much to do. Needs more different sounds. So far I have heard the actual engine, the turbo, what sounds like a supercharger and that's about it. Cars make more sounds and pd need to add them. But what is there is decent. People will say it's bad but it's not the fault of what has been done, just what hasn't been done.

Well your question was directed at Gordon, not me. I was just pointing out that plenty of last gen wheels are supported in most PS4 racing games, as you said "Those aren't viable unless you have some sort of complicated adapter but if I remember correctly here is no old wheel support on the newest gen consoles."

Anyway, I was just asking because there are a lot of wheel players in other racing games on PS4 that don't use official wheels, me being one of them, and as I said, I'm not paying $500 + the price of GTS just to play it.

Edit: If someone could ask Kaz, or anyone at PD really, it'd be much appreciated.

Just watched the races from the Japan event. I really enjoyed the racing, gave a better impression of what the game will hopefully be all about. Also, is it just me or can you hear race commentary coming from the game during the brands race? Everytime they go down the start/finish straight it's sounds like it to me

This is an interesting screen. Seems to indicate that it won't be the top overall drivers that make it to the finals but the top drivers from each country. While it makes for the most "equality" and "fairness" I suppose, it pretty much guarantees you won't have many of the best drivers in the world there and that some of the drivers might not be quite up to pace.

Manufactures Cup final is a 24hr race at the Nurburgring with 3 player teams consisting of the top drivers from each region.
Pretty sure this is what Kaz said in the Q&A.

Who were PD Yamada and PD Ueda? Were they present at the event - didn't notice anyone playing else besides those introduced on stage; or playing online from PD offices; or even special AI??

I don't think so they each just used the draft to pull alongside but no one had enough left to pull ahead.
Edit: Tree'd

nope. just everyone tried to take each other on the straight.

What are the odds of that ? :D

Guy (not me): This time, well, was the suspension system fixed?
Kaz: You mean working properly? Say, "The camber glitch" is resolved in GT Sport.

So, Kaz said that, we'll see :mischievous:

That's great! We haven't seen VGTs from lots of interesting companies yet.
From big companies like Ford, Audi and Lamborghini to a different company like Telsa Motors and even a company like Daihatsu!! (I really want to know how will be Daihatsu's VGT! :D)
From interesting names like Italdesign GiuGiaro and Jordan to something like Nike. (Nike One was amazing!)

Just imagine if this game doesn't get the Ford GT, all of these VGT cars and the most desirable real car I have ever seen or wanted in a game isn't announced yet.

Well as a Mopar Fan I really want a Viper but even as a Mopar fan I have never seen another car like the new FGT.

Strange thing is that in one way
So. 256 cars. That's either a lot of DLC or you can buy multiple numbers of a car then.

As for the racing - Was it Kaz in London who said he thought it would have been a good idea to allow the players more practice? Someone did.

That means I could be right after all :D
