IMO Two annoying things in the current builds :
-as soon as a car appears on screen : flash! Too shiny for a second
-all the billboards around the tracks that Poly added with "GT Sport", "Polyphony Digital", "GT Vision" or "Playstion" tend to make the track boring. I'd much rather see car related brands and a few gt billboards. It looks like a F1 track with Fly Emirates, DHL and Rolex, a little dull.

I hope they don't have single player on gts because that takes away from actual racing in a big way. But they will have a single player for those who are not on PSN.

The graphics look insane

:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: Not a single interviewer I have seen with Kaz has realised were he is going with this game. The questions they have asked are all concerned with the past and unfortunate that's were there insight ends.

If they had realised what Kaz is trying to do then they could really open up this game for the fans by asking dynamic questions.

Time is a bitch as November is a long way off of what is a LANDMARK title.

For those that have not realised yet PD are making a "racing game"

Kaz just needs to pull through with the physics and he will have made the finest game in history.

I wholeheartedly think, Polyphony is working on Gran Turismo 7 with all the fixings of previous games. As much as Gran Turismo Sport looks nice, I highly appreciate being able to drive all sorts of cars from the Fiat 500, to the Kubelwagon and to the Bughatti. I also enjoy all the great real and fake tracks, and the long in depth simulation mode. Perhaps Gran Turismo Sport is just a Prologue plus game to fill time between GT6 and GT7, I hope. I think it would be a mistake to throw away the model that worked for Polyphony for all these years.

What Kaz is saying is

"racing drivers of the world, race against your competitors and I'll make sure it's clean racing if you use my platform"

The girl interview is talking about forza as competition... Lol :banghead::banghead:

It is only done online. Or against friends as 2 player. AI aren't real, and AI DONT FOLLOW THE SAME PHYSICS as the player vehicle.

So it's not racing, it rather driving round a track.

As simple as that

They are not working on gt7, he said in interview and explains that he went away and tried to figure out why everyone is asking about gt7....

He trying to explain he has moved the game on from past, he got new vision that the market hasn't seen yet....
But people don't wanna embrace change cos there lost in 20 years of history and nastalga

I didn't realise racing was something done exclusively online.

Guess you do learn something new everyday.

PD should not waste time pandering to those who want GT to be mario kart (most of this forum it seems). Just focus on racing vs people.

Source please.

Source? This has become the default internet troll response for when you don't actually have anything to backup your viewpoint. It is common knowledge and can be figured out with plain logic that racing games generally wont use the player physics for AI.

Simple. Yet wrong. It doesn't matter what the competition is, a race is merely about competing, that is all. You're attempting to redefine the meaning if you want to claim the first 20 odd years of video games contained no racing.

firstly i am not here to argue with you

but to validate my point i will explain how i came to that conclusion and then I'm done with defending everything i wrote.

think about AI physics for a hot minute and then read what is written underneath................................

I will highlight my point with sinario's..

When racing at 100% difficulty AI they should be going at the absolute limit of the physics of the game.... YET i can lap 2-3 seconds faster. Explain to me what physics the AI are following in this situation????????:banghead::banghead::banghead:

next situation this time in project cars

When racing in the dry to rain conditions i can lap as fast as the AI, but as soon as the dynamics weather sets in and it starts to rain, the AI seem to magically gain 2-3 seconds per lap on me for 2nd half of the race ??? they have magically got more grip out of thin air.

when driving with AI there is always 1-2 corners were they are super slow and massive amounts of time can be made up. What is all that about?? what physics are the AI adhering to in this situation ?????

AI is not racing and its not following the same physics as the players car. it is what it is up until now, but now we can move the game on with GT sport, then why shouldn't we.....
and that what PD are trying to do.

so embrace the advancements that computing power/technology enable us to race real people on an equal playing fields.

If you want to race at 100% difficult then race against people who are actually 100% difficult to race against. not some arbitrary AI lap time that you can drive 2-3 seconds faster then.

i know different things float different boats.

peace out

Nothing to do with Physics

Could have to do with physics - but maybe you aren't that good in the wet. ;)

Again nothing to do with physics

If you want to race at 100% difficult then race against people who are actually 100% difficult to race against. not some arbitrary AI lap time that you can drive 2-3 seconds faster then.

So if I'm racing people that are 2-3 seconds faster or slower than me - are they driving with some magical physics that are different to mine?
It's all to do with skill level - if the AI are programmed with questionable skill (GT I'm looking at you) - it's not the physics. It may not be very good racing, but it's still racing.

If racing real people and there's a big mismatch of skill levels it's no different really. The key to good (fun) racing is having a good match of skill - regardless if it's AI or not.

thank you my points exactly @Nato_777.

Some people like taking to SIRI and others like talking to a real girl, and thats all calm.

My main point is GT sport is not like the old games, and there won't be GT7. so now were into GTS era and this is the way its gonna be, and its gonna be more dynamics racing which is always better as everyone benefits mutually from everyone else driving against each other.
so everyones a winner

No GT7? Source please.

Certainly the way Kaz has been speaking in the recent interviews this new direction Sport is taking could be here to stay, providing it is successful of course. I'm not sure if there will ever be a GT7 or if the next iteration will be Sport 2, at any rate I'm sure the next GT will have a Sport mode.
I like the new focus but I also certainly think there is a need to have a robust single player offline career mode in the future, be it by update to GTS or in the next GT as without it there is the risk of isolating the user base to a small niche of exclusively online racers. The racing genre is niche enough without narrowing it down further.

I wouldn't say it's too unreasonable to believe that we won't see the classic GT formula used anymore. In the Gamespot interview Kaz said something about how GT1-6 were the "old era" and now GTS is the mark of the new era. I'm not saying don't expect GT7 at all, but in my mind, I don't think we'll be seeing it anytime soon.

in the interview the japanese dude said that :

" this could off be GT7, i could of called it GT7 if i wanted but i decided to call it Gt sport because its a new direction, but if i wanted then this would of been called GT7 but i called it GT sport because its the start of something new"

that what the dude said.

also Bare in mind KAZ launched a massive event in london for his vision of the GT series and spent loads of money and did a grand presentation and explained what the new format of the game was to answer peoples questions. He let people know the direction the franchise was heading. and all people want to know is maybe GT7 coming out.

He said

"i went away from london event and had a think about what everybody was going on about gt7"

and can back and said the first statement at E3 2016 (today)

they spent 3 years and over 200 people developing it, getting FIA affiliation then only for it to be a side game ???
No chance

that tell me that there ain't gonna be a GT7, because this is the new Gran truism game.

internet troll

It's more than a little rich to be slinging around this particular insult when you then go on to make such a hilariously inaccurate comparison in the very same post:

PD should not waste time pandering to those who want GT to be mario kart (most of this forum it seems). Just focus on racing vs people.

You and I both know what you've said isn't the case, you're just doing your normal exaggeration-as-attempt-at-belittling thing because people don't share your opinion.

@Palestinian - There's no need to triple post your stream-of-consciousness thoughts: just one will do. That's what the Edit button is for. 👍

"racing drivers of the world, race against your competitors and I'll make sure it's clean racing if you use my platform"

Clean racing? Did we watch the same stream from London?

He trying to explain he has moved the game on from past, he got new vision that the market hasn't seen yet....

iRacing got there years ago, actually. It's not new.

I'd be the first to agree the format of the past games is tired, stale and old fashioned. What I don't agree on is that a single player GT experience could never be worthwhile and relevant to the modern era, and that all racing MUST now be online. An offline racing game can absolutely still work and so can the GT formula, it just needs freshening and modernising. It's not like the real world has changed, a career in Motorsports is still the same general formula, modifying cars to go racing is still a thing.

Not everything has to be online to be fun and engaging, the choice should be there however you want to play. Past GTs have forced you to play offline, even those with online modes . GTS is apparently mostly forcing you to play online, I say both are still feasible and players should have the freedom to choose.

iracing has amazing racing and the best structure. But all the content is over a $1000 plus yearly subscription costis $50-70 ........ were as GTS will be $50 all in forever. happy days !!

i have spent $800 since january when i signed up to iRacing, and that is a insane amount of money. Everyone don't have that kind of money.
For all that cost the iRacing graphics at best are case ,

My point is KAZ is trying to bring that level of structure to console's, but with drop dead gorgeous visuals. Available to the masses for the price of peanuts.

i for one can't fault him on his endeavour.
