The ring looks absolutely gorgeous. Maybe its the time of day but brands and the oval track look awful compared to the ring.

Another thing that a bit of a nuisance is the shadow map resolution, I know they are soft shadows and look much better compared to previous versions but still they are very distracting at times.

One thing is for sure, most of the additional power of the PS4 over PS3 went into the trees :D. Seriously, their shadows move around too.

Well the lady certainly asked the better questions.
Would have preferred for the guy to not waste time asking his 'motivation' question.

It's a shame translation is required as it basically halves the amount of questions that can be put forward in a set time.

Also, was hoping to hear something a bit more substantial from Kaz when the 'simulation' question was asked.
But it seems he is currently pushing the 'easy for everyone' line.

Yeah, that was quite the dodge. Not exactly confidence-inspiring.

No, why would real life based physics convoluted ? A tire has air in it, it has pressure and it heats up /cool down. Any car owner should know about it :P
I don't think we've really had a definitive answer on tuning at all yet.
Asking about tyre pressures could be taking it a step too far at this stage.

If we're talking sales and trying to reach new players, the "easy" button has to be pushed. If people can jump straight into Forza and navigate tracks with minimal set up, that's a game in the library. Casual players will only buy it if there is minimal fuss(just press X and race) and the ability to win while having fun.

I can't imagine Kaz reaction when someone asked him in an interview, "Will the tire have air in it this time, so that we can change the pressure and will it cool down like a real tire do ?"

Such simple question for a realistic racing game, yet too hard to ask.

I'm hoping the racing controls will be like this.

  • Touchpad Left - Change View
  • Touchpad Right - Look Back
  • L1 - Gear Down
  • L2 - Brake
  • L3 - Real-time Adjustment Menu
  • R1 - Gear Up
  • R2 - Gas
  • R3 - Flash Lights (Passing)
  • DPad - Real-time Adjustment Control
  • Left Analog - Steer
  • Right Analog - Look Around
  • Cross Button - Gas
  • Square Button - Brake
  • Triangle Button - Reverse
  • Circle Button - Emergency Brake
  • Start - Pause

The face buttons on the DS4 aren't pressure sensitive anymore, so there's a pretty high chance that using X/Square for Braking and Accelerating will be switched out for using R2 and L2.

Too hard to ask or not really in the front of a general game reporters mind?
Seems straight forward to you and me.
Not so sure for those sitting on the chairs opposite Kaz. :sly:

Put Jordan in one of those chairs though ... now there's the litmus paper test.

Anyone remember this?

I'll miss Dynamic Weather and Time Transition :(.
Hopefully it'll make it's way on to GT7

Man... it's actually insane to think it's been nearly six years since this trailer first came out. Still have chills from the way they showed the effects in it, and the music is perfect. :')

Just to confirm, I had a nose through the settings menus while playing GT Sport in London and the controls are still fully customisable. Can't remember some of the defaults, but there is also mapping for the Centre of the Touchpad as well as the Left and Right. Adds even more possibilities which is never a bad thing. :P

Article From Eurogamer, seems Martin have changed his minds about GT Sport:

Time really flies man. i still remember the first time i've seen this trailer and i was shocked because of how mind-blowing it looked like.

Going off subject a little but it looks like they have added names now to the colour selection of vehicles and that it took a very long time to match the colours in game accurately , they even put in a base coat and layers of paint to match the manufacturers requests. So the colours used are the same names available as buying new by the looks of it.

Graphically it is obviously looking a heck of a lot better and I've no complaints there bar a few AA issues that I'm sure they'll sort. The game itself though, still not convinced, and I don't think I am going to be unless a large single player focus comes out of nowhere, which seems highly unlikely.

I advise you to watch direct feed video directly to your TV set to your taste ;)👍

There are some minor technical issue but they are able to correct or improve them.

Well it's been fun chewing the fat with you all.
Another good night of not much news but good chatting anyway.
And as much as I'ld like to hang in there for Jordans report (should it be even remotely close which is doubtful), I'm done.

Night all. :)
