This definitely makes me wonder: how does Kunos Simulazioni, a studio with 12 people (I believe that's the number of employees because I've read it somewhere here) and presumably way less budget than PD just casually accuire the Porsche rights but PD can't?
TBH, i still dont know why a team of 12 people beats a group of 200+ people in terms of physics and sounds...

It's not like all the 200 people are working in sounds and physics. I get your point, but the comparison doesn't make sense. THe 200 people are working in a variety of different things that AC doesn't have.

That being said, I don't think GT physics is that bad (on the contrary) but I agree the sound deparment has a long way ahead...

Gran Turismo 3 had a hidden Porsche 996 GT3 because of EA exclusivity rights on Porsche Vehicles, now that Porsche is free from EA, there might be chances of Porsche appearing on GTS or GT7.
EDIT: So Kaz said it will be Porsche's decision, For a FIA Partnered Game I don't think Porsche will stay away from it....
Just being positive about it....

We should see the price at first. If it will cost more than usual AC's DLC, it's another EA business.
Price aside, this is a big stepping stone for the genre. For such a small team to be able to secure such a deal leads hope for the future that there might be a little more leeway for other games to be able to secure them a lot more easier than what it used to be in the past.

I think AC looks amazing, and I will definitely buy it, so not a slant against the game, but 12 people? I'm sorry, but I don't believe that.

I believe Kunos is up to 20 full time staff now. Which is still just a fraction of PD's 200 employees.

There is a core group of 12. The team is up to about 30 now but the rest of the people are not involved in physics programming or any kind of code work as far as I know. If you look up the game credits and see the responsibilities that each person of the core team has it is simply amazing what they've been able to accomplish with such a tiny team.
