The Bugatti also looks woefully underpowered because it had to be balanced for Gr.1. With that much aero on it, theres no way it will do 250mph at Le Mans.

I'm relatively sure that the non- Gr.1 Bugatti will hit 250+ on Le Mans.

I mean, the LM55 Gr.1 only has 564 horsepower, but with its GT6 incarnation, the car was calculated to have at least 700bhp.

Basically all I was asking for at first, doesn't change the idea that they could calculate pp differently between GT5 to GTS
They could, yeah. Let's just go off what we know though. It seems more likely that they've altered these VGTs to fit better into said classes. Considering they are make believe cars it wouldn't be to unheard of to think they have been BOP, the PP system probably being different wouldn't be changing that, as the classes would HAVE to be balanced in the first place, considering the limited tuning that is supposedly going to be available. Why would they throw them in a class if they are going to absolutely destroy it? They wouldn't, then the game wouldn't make sense to have such specific brackets.

These cars won't have to be remade for them to be able to change stats.

Omg!!:eek::eek:. I think I could give you news due to this!! :D:D:D. If you don't know who is she, she's Chiara Pinasco, a local interviewer of a local TV show called "TEC", which is a show about the lastest news about technology (games included). That show is passed here at Sundays, so, if nothing interesting happens to me, and I can be able to see the show, and if the show passes the interview this Sunday. I will keep eyes and ears open to that interview and translate everything I can!! :D
Update!! Ummm, nothing happened :ouch::ouch:... I saw the whole show and they didn't show the interview (if they did recorded it...). Today they showed their Bethesda, Xbox, Nintendo, and miscelaneous booths' review (did you know there's nintendo-based controllers for mobiles now??). Anyway, good thing is that they have a lot of E3 content for the show, and they will pass all that stuff on the future weeks (next week they will probably pass the Playstation booth's review, that could be a good shot to see the interview finally). I will keep myself alert for further news of TEC to post here this week :)

GT FB page just added this.

From listening to what Kaz has had to say regarding the FIA esport direction of GTS I don't think they are particularly trying to replicate any real world racing classes/series but are creating their own new classes more or less based on real world equivalents. Group 1 for example is similar to LMP1 by necessity as it contains LMP1 cars but it is a virtual class for virtual racing so can and does contain virtual cars, same for the other groups.
This is supposed to be the 'future of motorsport', a new direction and I think their vision is more than just making virtual exact replicas of existing real world series but to eventually create something entirely new and being virtual you can do things that wouldn't be possible in reality for whatever reason (financial, safety, etc).
Personally I wouldn't like to see esport racing go completely into fantasy cars and tracks but I'm okay with the mixture we are getting in GT Sport and I really like the PD built racing variants of real cars such as the 4C.

I think you've nailed it there. I've thought about saying something similar myself in response to the issue of fantasy/real cars being mixed together

So Kaz really is getting around since the launch event, isn't he? First he goes to do the Nurburgring 24hr, then he went all the way to E3 just to do a few presentations of 'old' footage and features, he then went to Italy for the FIA event but seemingly did nothing of note except for posing with FIA people and now he's flown back to the US to drive up PP for no real reason at all.

He must have crazy jetlag.

And he isn't really a dev anymore eh, he's just an ambassador (it seems).

I wonder if he has a wife.
