which it why it puts me into wonder sometime. but hey, dont this kind of argument gets the hype higher and helped the promotion ? :P

Haha yes, that's very true! And I do love it :D

Looking at this car-count thing in a super-positive way (and I know it's unrealistic) - having DLC not as some random packs of random things, but more as complete series', with the full roster of cars and some offline campaigns, wouid be awesome.

I can't remember who said it, one of the mods I think, but there was a NASCAR (?) DLC for Forza, which was apparently better in gameplay terms than the main game. That's where I get excited and positive about DLC, when it's actually meaningful additions.

If GTS could release a classic series pack, or a V8 Supercars pack or whatever, with offline gameplay, then I'd be convinced.
We'll see what actually happens though, as ever... :)

Forming part of a Japanese DLC package, the 2016 World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year will be making its debut in Kunos' racing simulator on the 18th of May. The little MX5 has proven to be a popular choice for several years now in racing titles such as iRacing, and there is no reason why AC's version should prove to be any less popular with fans of the game.

The 2015 MX5 is a nimble 129hp rear wheel drive sports car that should encourage close on-track action whilst providing an entertaining driving experience. Kunos have indicated the JDM Car Pack will also include a more performance oriented MX5 Cup Car - a 155hp dedicated racing version of the little MX5 road-going equivalent.

So, the road car is 1.5 ( 131PS ) and Cup Car gets the 2.0 engine :) - LHD or RHD or is it switchable ?

Which one is the interior of MX5 road car in AC ( both pictures from 1.5 ND ) :

I see, not base model-maybe S special or Leather, it has the 7 inch LCD and those chromed Auto A/C dials, it should come with rear torsen LSD.

And this is GTS ND Roadster S, it's base S model with non chromed Manual A/C, and LDC Segmented Audio Display, it has open diff ( LSD not available )

Really like how PD do the lighting :)

actually it isnt so shiny ingame. but i would say for lighting. GT lighting are always more natural and the color pallet they used are more close to photorealism.

i would say there is only 1 source talk about the incredible 400-500 cars final car counts. and i dont find that source very trustable. 3 other interview are established game site of china.( which didnt even mentioned anything like this)

We've got several sources of various types pointing towards significant post release content. It also makes sense considering how little content the game will ship with; it alleviates that problem to an extent if they can advertise an extensive DLC plan.

It seems like a reasonable assumption at this point that they're planning something, and then the discussion moves naturally to what they're planning, how it's going to be made and how it will be delivered to the player.

There are naturally some options that would be wonderful for the player and some that would be awful. Which one people reach for in the lack of any other information is largely indicative of how much trust people have in Polyphony to do what's right for the consumer and their perception of how good their past post-release support has been.

I agree with your logic mate but I have to say that I am not conviced that they are planning anything. Why do people think that there is something more and that PD is keeping it secret for now?(I even read about offline career mode)
Future DLC will come for sure. And not for free.Other than that I cant see anything more coming. And I can understand some guys (customers) asking "Is that all?" expecially for that price and history of GT series but there is a very good chance (imo the highest possibility) that actually that is all we are going to get.

Biggest problem GT6 has on graphics department isnt the quality of it, but how stable is it. Very occasionally GT6 reaches 60 FPS on gameplay and I hope GTS can improve with its PS4 power and more detailed graphics.

That's a really good point actually. Though I think Digital Foundry did a frame rate test on the E3 build and it was mostly good news.

I would really like to see that question about 400-500 cars added directly asked to Kaz.
This number seems too good to me. But at least we know that they plan to add a great number of cars to the game. if they at 150-200 more, i'll be very happy with that. As long as the variety is there.

But, correct if i'm wrong. The translation on this interview was made from Japanese > English > Chinese > English, right?

If possible I want to watch the interview video.

Not sure how it's mostly good news when it looks like they can't hit 60 fps on 2/3 tracks in the build.

Fair point, but still, I mean mostly good news, in that the build was quite old and there should be room for improvement.

Whether you think they're able to improve is mostly a question of your attitude towards PD and GT.

Whether I think they'll be able to improve or not is irrelevant. I call em' as I see em' and 2/3 not hitting a solid 60 fps is not mostly good news. And let's not forget these are near ideal gaming conditions on display. No weather, no damage, no dust and dirt, no smoke etc. all of which can have a significant impact on frame rates.

Well, again, I think it is relevant, because we only disagree on something neither of us can prove - that there may or may not be improvements.

Their frame rate performance on GT5 & 6 doesn't give me so much hope, but I would think that the e-sport and online focus of the new game means they will be prioritising that golden 60fps that we all love (and need!).

I wouldn't be too worried about framerates in these older builds, optimisation is the last thing you do and with the status already managed I'm sure they'll be able to optimise that last 20%. It's not like they're a million miles off as with final GT5+6. Just imagine how that was before they optimised it! Far more things to worry about IMO.

I dont think the frame test of DF are good news to me. IT barely maintain a stable 60fps and sometime it reach a lower boundary of 4x. With full 20 cars on track, i really not sure if the current build can reach a constant 60fps. Even thou gt5 and gt6 advertise as a 60fps game, running on720 i also hardly recognize any fluidity of the 60fps present. DG also do the framerate test of those too and notice it doesnt reach a stable 60.

what i concern about is what impact will it post to the Vr players if the fps is not a stable 60

and also Johnnypenso mentioned that dust , particles , weather are yet present itself in the current builf and it run without a stable 60, if it all add in then will full damage model thats about to come. i dont see where this is going to be..

Spot on.The last thing to worry about is this.

If this is already covered then my apologies for re-asking...

In all video footage of the races the HUD has three displays. Why do the displays show the same identical information? E.g. speed on disp 1&2, transmission on 2&3, and also speed on display 1 is both analog and digital.

Can you select out of these displays or is it fixed? Are they showing all displays on the same screen just for demo purposes (hopefully).

No one? Or is it just a stupid question? Or do I have to accept the more cars and the more displays with the same info the better it is ;)

This DF's framerate test is made on the first build that PD showed. it's Alpha(?) stage, so there's a high change to they get things to work better.

Translator-san know how to speak chinese?

I doubt it'll have the same issue considering GTS doesn't have all the features that more or less crippled GT6's Frame rate.

When I said "planning something" I meant that to include the possibility that what they were planning was a paid DLC program.

I dunno, man. Early build, certainly, but they're showing presumably their best content and they haven't got damage or night/weather enabled. Those things can only make it worse.

I'd say that DF analysis doesn't show much of anything at all. Too many variables that could push it either way. All it shows is that Polyphony is still OK showing products to the public without a stable frame rate.
