This has yet to be confirmed. I believe it was @Johnnypenso who said (and I agree) most likely the only Senna content is in the musem feature. Maybe we get some actual Senna content later, but I doubt it. What use will those vehicles be to us if we don't get more "Senna related content"? It kinda breaks the immersion to use the Senna McLaren against Gr1 cars
And in the meantime i can race this:

I think we understand that you like Assetto Corsa now lad.
Yes i do lad. But it is pretty relevant to the quote saying I would be tempted to buy GTS because of possible Senna content don't you think?

Does it annoy you when people use AC for comparison purposes? Frankly i don't care.

Not when it's relevant like sounds or physics.

Physics yes (as reported by people who played it), but it remains to be seen if the cars are also realistically replicated as that has been a problem with GT so far (MR's for example if i remember right). Sounds are a bit better compared to before as that couldn't get much worse, but as of now it's still lacking a lot compared to today's standards. Like I said they sound pretty much as the same samples, but made a bit bassier overall. The 1999 quote refers to offline gameplay, race structure, sounds, AI, damage model and crash physics. For the E sports we'll have to see how their ranking and penalty system works and if online is stable at least, that will be essential.

So you can see, i love the way it looks but that is pretty much where my admiration for GTS stops.
I only drove a few laps on GT SPORT at Copper Box event, it was with a MR car (Lotus Evora). It was very easy to drive and felt so controllable. I haven't tried it back in GT6 yet so not 100% how it compares but I know in some MR cars in that game, it feel like they are trying to kill you.

Ain't offline like designed to teach you to become better at driving and racing and put you on your way to getting a real world racing licence, that seems very modern to me? Haven't seen damage model yet, may or may not be advanced. Sounds seem very advanced in terms of way they are producing it, end result is not quite there but in terms of technology I think it's very modern way.

I wonder what quality level they are at now regarding GTS, I think there will still be big improvements which might entice you and there will probably be really good offers on PS4 in coming years too. You might end up playing GT SPORT more than me.

Yeah physics wise it seems like they did make an improvement going of reactions like yours. That at least seems promising.

It's innovative for consoles indeed, but i fear the whole E sports departure only appeals to a certain segment of GT players. Hopefully people will end up with extensive options to set up single races as that will be the only familiar offline mode that's left. The driving tests alone will probably get old pretty fast.

You sure are an optimist given PD's track record in the last 10 years :D

The thing is that FOV editing isn't an option, it's necessary.

Some people have different preferences in sim racing, and if they cannot edit the view to how they want, it won't be as enjoyable and they can't process information as well as they could if they were to edit the view. It's a huge game changer.

I'd go as far to say that the FOV should be calculated for you.
Based on your own height, distance of your eyes to the screen and the screen size.
Each car has its own seating position and the FOV should reflect that too.

@GTMunky what did you think? physics look pretty good

First, I'd like to thank everyone for the comments and likes! Very much appreciated :)

My short comparison of Gran Turismo 6 (GT6) v1.22 & GT Sport (GTS) vPSX2016
[Both videos embedded below]

Track: Nurburgring 12pm Dry
Car: BMW M4
Tires: Sports Soft
Driving Aids: All off except ABS 1

Physics
- Overview: I feel GTS simulates driving a real car better than GT6. GT6 physics feel outdated now.
- Force feedback: GTS FFB feels better than GT6. The wheel effects provided more information about road conditions. I felt my mind was processing more information. Unfortunately, I couldn’t feel what individual tires were doing. However, this is a problem I experience in many racing games.
- Sports Soft tires: GTS has much less grip than GT6
o In GTS, I had trouble finding traction in 2nd gear. Furthermore, the M4 was twitchy through fast sweeping corners in 3rd gear.
o In GT6, I did not have any traction issues in 2nd gear nor any need to correct my steering mid-corner in 3rd gear

Other (AI, Graphics, Sound)
- AI: Slightly better in GTS, but for the most part feels like GT6.
o In GTS, the AI takes fast corners reasonably while being horribly slow in traction limited corners.
o In GT6, the AI is slow everywhere that’s not straight.
- Graphics & Sound: In terms of the Nurburgring and BMW M4, GTS is way better!

PSX 2016 | GT Sport | Nurburgring | BMW M4

Gran Turismo 6 | Nurburgring | BMW M4

Thanks for your opinion after your experience. That AI info is crucial for me. Sure, the game isn't complete, but it has to be equal to PCars and F6 if not better.

To be fair, the A.I. in GT6's Arcade Mode stick with their default tires no matter what tires the player chooses so most cars in that race had SH and even CS tires. It probably would have taken an extra 30 seconds to get past all of them if they all had SS tires lol. That may be the case in GTS too, though, so maybe they're better than they seem with stock cars?

And it's good to hear that GTS is at least on par with the more realistic of sims physics wise. We've heard it from multiple people so there must be some validity in that.

Hopefully there will be opportunity to try it out using the high-end GT wheel locally. Need to try more cars out.

It will be good to offer more for people without PS Plus, I want leaderboards like GT5P personally.

Well impression of last 10 years PD had to develop 🤬 due to platform limitations, I sort of wish I never wasted time playing GT5 but at least I figured out how to drive quicker. PDI probably got some decent sound guys in 2014 and they haven't really talked about sound yet so they might be sandbagging in the way F1 teams do at start of pre-season test until they finally get the full package together for first race. Sort of already seen that with graphics, hopefully will be the case with AI and sound.

The CPU in PS4 is quite slow which puts down optimism quite a bit though so look forward to PS5 as I think it will be an amazing generation with immense quality right off the bat and it may also last a really long time if it becomes extremely difficult to improve hardware much further.

There isn't even a single GT game on the PS4 and you're telling us to look past this generation. Imagine if that came out of the mouth of Kaz himself!

It's something I'm looking forward to most, I'll still get GT this generation though.

GT is coming out late in the generation anyway, I reckon early as 2019 could be PS5 if the hardware is ready (7nm Navi, Zen+ APU) hopefully with PS4 backward compatibility. Shouldn't be too difficult to go from PS4 Pro to that too so if they have a GT7 planned then I can see that coming out for it quite early on such a console. Kaz is always thinking of future when it comes to game development anyway, probably a big reason why GTS is taking so long to come out.

I hope 2 or 3 drift cars from D1GP will be in GTsport. A drift segment would be nice and could justify the sponsoring... Racing cars are cool but diversity is the key with this modest car list.

Old news middle of this year, but a couple things of note.

Yamauchi admits that GT Sport actually is still in a very early stage. Even the graphics are not even close to final. “They are roughly at 50 to 60 percent of what we want to achieve on PS4.”
If they're not even close, how will they get this ready to carry out the last part of the quote?
“It’s a little bit like Photoshop, but smarter,” explains Yamauchi. “Every picture contains spatial and light information, so whenever you move a car around in the environment, all shadows are adjusted in real-time. And what’s probably my favourite, you can actually let the car drive. Like you can let it pass the Royal Palace of Tokyo or the Guggenheim Museum in New York and it looks like a real shot.”
I didn't realise that motion shot of the S-FR meant the car could do flybys. I just thought it was an option to make it seem like the car was moving.
And to crown it all, there is a World Championship in Gran Turismo Sport too. If you happen to win the big tournament, you will get your trophy at the official FIA Gala alongside Daniel Ricciardo, Lewis Hamilton or whoever happens to win Formula One in 2017.
The F1 trophy ceremony was last week Dec 3. If it's happening same time next year, GTS would have to be released early next year of mid-year.

2 or 3 drift cars don't really add much variety. Any rear wheel drive road car can be turned into a drift car, but a purpose built drift car, can't be turned into a road car. What I mean is, 2 or 3 drift cars, have a much more restricted usability, than 2 or 3 road cars that can be used for a lot of things, but also may or may not get some sort of tuning.

It's not much likely that we get specific drift cars, though I might be wrong.

Unfortunately, no tunning in Gtsport à la 1000 hp GTR.

I've forgotten, how was that like?
I don't remember really well either - but it had a basic slider that allowed you to get a slightly faster ride with a little more horsepower. How the transmission/suspension etc tuning worked - I don't remember.

We don't know that yet, I have been pausing some of the latest direct videos, and the menu have a car setting, that is not allowed at the game shows, like other features as well. I think there will be tuning in GTSPORT, but I don't know how it will be. Let's see:)

No 100% sure but Kaz said it.
