I'm glad if we can tweak suspension, weight, weight distribution, and transmission
I honestly don't know how this game could be considered racing orientated without tuning.I'm glad if we can tweak suspension, weight, weight distribution, and transmission
A snowball would have a better chance in hell than the Bugatti would have on the track against the P1 or FXX.Way too much power for Gr.3 and I doubt Bugatti would be happy castrating their car down to ~500hp to race cars not in their market segment. Should've been Gr.2 or something instead imo, perfect rival for P1 GTRs and FXX-Ks and suchlike.
If memory serves, the Veyron was about 10 or 11 seconds slower on the Top Gear Test track than the FXX. That should tell you all you need to know. It's not a slow car, but the FXX is in another league altogether and the FXX-K has a 100-0 record in whatever league it is in. The P1 is not far behind.I haven't been able to drive the Bug in GT6 as I no longer have my PS3, was it that bad on track?
I have to state I'm not aware if the full specs for the Bugatti VGT have been revealed, though I didn't find much. The Chiron may still be a (heavy) grand tourer, but as you said, they're not pairing the road car with other VGT's. The way I view it, it doesn't seem crazy to have it competing in Gr. 1.Yeah the VGT is what we're discussing here not that boat of a thing Veyron. I'd expect the Veyron to be rubbish but not the VGT which is the car in Gr.1.
The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is a much different car than the Chiron however. Similar overall look and drivetrain, but the VGT has so much more downforce than the road-going version. I think it would hold its own at Circuit de le Sarthe, and maybe at Spa, but may struggle to keep up on more technical tracks simply due to more weight, and presumably more understeer.
Please Kaz, please!Right about now, there should be a video surfacing about a Porsche being scanned. Something like the Bathurst video or a sound check on another car, with a Porsche in the background.
I think what he means is that there would be sufficient downforce at high speed tracks so that the car still has the superior top speed to LMPs but won't immediately lose its position in the corners.Wouldn't massive downforce cripple it at tracks with long straights and help it more at technical circuits?

With a change in specs any car can compete with any car. A Miata can compete with an F1 car if you simply change the specs. If part of the criteria is, "does it hurt anyone", I guess anything goes really. I was talking about simulation though, different subject.Comparing a Bugatti Veyron, with an FXX. That's new.
You act like the Bugatti VGT is the stock Chiron... In theory, the Chiron is exaclty the same type of car as the FXX-K and the P1 GTR, so that should be it's place. They didn't choose to do that, but with a change in specs, it manages to battle against LMP1 cars. Does it look a bit out of place? Yes. Does it hurt anyone? No.
It depends on power, weight, gearing. Since the car might be 4wd, this might compensate the lack of downforce that way (kind of like the Nissan GT-R), and then with a bit more power manages to get better accelerations. But so far, it's just speculation.
Is that so? Wow.Same as how the FXX-K manages to always be listed at ~1250kg in games yet it's really closer to 1500kg
In Forza 6, the Nissan GTR GT500 is in the same class than GT3 cars... But I still like thaïs game even with this kind of choices.Yeah Forza has it at that vs the P1 GTR at 1440kg or so. Typical Ferrari bs....

Curb weight: 1255kg dry (2766lbs)
Aren't the GT3 cars at the bottom of the class though? In Forza 6, the Nissan GTR GT500 is in the same class than GT3 cars... But I still like thaïs game even with this kind of choices.

The engineers have calculated that the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo can drive at over 400 km/h (250 mph) on four sections of the virtual Le Mans track reaching an overall max speed of 447.59 km/h (278 mph).
