Guys, I just got some news down the pipeline! Ok, his may sound crazy but here is how I stumbled on this news. It started when I was sitting down drinking an ice cold Dr Pepper, in which I realized that it had 23 flavors. And everyone knows that the holiday season is 11 months away. So, I drank 11 more Dr Peppers. Afterwards, I realized that 23 is the number of Michael Jordan's jersey when he played on the Chicago Bulls until 2003. And GT6 was released in 2013, 10 years after MJ officially retired. Now you might be asking why is this relevant, when I'll tell you. This information has allowed me to conclude the day it will be released. The year 2017 has 4 numbers, and everyone knows that the 4th day of the month is the best day of the month. That's the day confirmed. Now for the month. We are currently in the 1st month of 2017, and November 2016 was the original month to be released. So, if you add 16, to 17, and divide by 2, and add 0, you will get 12.5, subtract 6 and you get the month of June, when most kids will be on summer break and want to play video games. BOOM! That's the month confirmed. Now for the Year! That's easy, just take 2016 and add 1, because that was the game that started it all. And in conclusion, the release date for GT Sport is June 4th, 2017. I just blew you minds! LOL

I am currently drinking an ice cold Dr Pepper. Then again, I always am. I hope they have Dr Pepper branding available in the livery editor. Not likely, though.

Potentially, though I'd doubt it. I would have thought that the recruitment is for the future to help with new games, but it could help GTSport develop during it's life I guess.

IMO, it's a pretty big news! I think the fact that now Playstation HQ are in the US, they can't stand seeing GT killed by Kaz. Don't know why but Japanese devs struggle with AAA games today.
GT is not just a racing game, it's a goldmine if the game is well polished. However, all the key job positions are in Japan...

Physics Engine Development Engineer :
・Development of a rigid body simulator
・Development of an elastic body simulator
・Development of a fluid body simulator
・Development of a rag doll simulator
・Development of other physics simulators

I hope this means the end of the famous GT collisions...

It would be great if this actually happened...

Interesting job positions there. Guess they're really making those corporate muscle gains.

My question is however is that will it help GTSport in time? Remains to be seen I guess.

It's the same positions that they've had advertised in Japanese for some time. I guess they're just not finding the people that they want in Japan and are having to expand their hiring.

To be honest, I would expect the game between months June and September. And I'm not even joking this time, unlike the post that I made earlier. I wish that PD would be more honest with us, but giving us only the year that it will be released is like knowing someone for a long time and not knowing their last name. Do you guys know what I mean?

As this stage, I don't care when it happens. Better not be any day 1, day 2, day 3 patches and for 4 years after the release.

Surely PD have to release info on a release date sometime soon.
When did they announce the delay? 3..4 months ago?
As it stands, 2.5 months beyond initial release date, and 5 months since the announcement of the delay. :indiff:

Struggling to understand this approach.
These days, with the amount of time devs. have for extra improvements between releasing the product for production and it then hitting the shelves, and the ability for consumers to access those improvements on the first day they buy the product, it's now common place.
Sure, I'm not overly impressed should that day 1 patch be multiple GB's.
But still I welcome any improvements.
It's pretty much par for the course now days, so I don't see why PD should be any different.

As for the next "4 years"... ;)

I think we should only expect new info at E3, including a release date. Honestly.. hoping for September and not as late as November. Also, the fact their still telling users at shows jt auto salon not to go to Nurburgring. . . makes me think we wont see damage at release.
I mean, they still havnt shown damage. . . or mentioned the 500 car number with dlc since May last year.
At this point, im thinking the FIA and PD relationship has been more detrimental than beneficial to us as fans. PD are slower than we expect. .and I have to believe its the GT Sport mode to blame. Be it the technical or logistical aspect of it being a problem (back and forth communication between the FIA and PD).

I don't use a wheel, but there is a new wheel being marketed. It must work with all games or it wouldn't be for sale. PD have a few extra months to make sure the new wheel is all good. Shouldn't need a FFB patch.

Game play. Seems like there is none. Shouldn't need a patch.

Graphics. Don't tell me the game needs to patch all the other Ferrari colours because they spent three years on red.
Or they need to patch brake lights, because the right shade of Alizarin Crimson is now available.

Sounds. Now, I was cool with the Honda HSV update back in the day. However, if Kaz "Patches O'Houlihan" Yamauchi, has to patch any sounds from the limited number of cars we're getting(with the driver extra time they've bought for the studio), major fail.

Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

You should work for the Ferrari F1 team. Next month is our month!

So you are saying I should sell my playstation 4 (with some games), get the Thrustmaster 300 GT wheel (is that the one I should get?), buy the Playstation 4 PRO (obviously), and tell my wife that the living room has now turned into the driver seat?

Oh thats an announcement...

Damn It!!!

3 more days then til I can prepare for my family to leave me, good to know!

Not sure you got what I was joking at there.

The Ferrari F1 team constantly say that next year will be their year, when they win the championship. It never is, hence the cycle ever goes on. Ferrari - "[Current year+1] will be our year!"

David reminded me of that with his posts. I eagerly await "I'm expecting something in March".

Oh it didnt quote the other quotes in your post (not sure why) thats what I was going off...

I was hoping David was right!

Why so serious?
Sorry, I wasn't trying to be serious.

Your response seemed rather flippant to me, hence the rolling eyes emoji.
Perhaps you were being sarcastic. I can't tell.

Anyway, plenty of other things to talk about.
Let's move on. 👍

Edit.
I like the chances of Daytona joining the track list, with the infield track and also the oval as an alternative to the new Speedway.
I think it's probably fair to lock-in Bathurst, Silverstone, and Suzuka to the list, so we still have 10 spots open.
